I believe this piece is from the 1870's. But it could be earlier. It has hints of several periods. If he made it, good for him, you won't find a better one, if someone else made it, they are at least as good as jelliff if not better. anyway, this is the real deal, it is not cut down, it is not a reproduction. most tables listed as coffee tables are cut down from a taller table. coffee tables for real are quite rare in antiques, this particular one is extremely rare. i have never seen another like it. you will not find another one like it nor will you find a better one. it is fabulous, center crests on sides and ends, corinthian capitals on the top of the legs supporting the table top frame. the marble top is very intricate, also original to the piece and in perfect condition with no cracks, chips, etc. the marble alone today would cost at ... moreleast 1000.00 to have cut scalloped and molded. the table has many great features, the burl walnut in the several panels makes it extremely attractive. it is very solid and free of any visible damage or repairs, there is some crazing in the burl but that is to be expected on a table that is 150 years old. the only tweaking i can see on the table is that a couple of the glue blocks have been replaced. it is a large one being 42 inches wide, 29.5 inches deep, and 21 inches tall. again, you can not find this table anywhere, it is in a league of it's own and is of nearly museum quality. it has been in my bedroom in front of a belter sofa for some time now, however, i just acquired a wonderful john henry belter bedroom set which is taking up quite a lot of additional space and this particular table needs to go somewhere else, problem is i do not have any room for it anywhere else so i have decided to sell it. a very very nice table. you make pick it up at my home or it can be shipped at buyer's expense. good luck.

Up for sale today is a very nice solid piece of furniture. The cabinet or side table measures 28" tall 20" wide accross the top and 16" deep. The brown woods are walnut the lighter not sure of. What you see is the natural color of the wood no stains there is a poly finnish. This has a real Depression Modernne look to it or Art Deco if you prefer. There are no markings. Vtg 1960's Vladimir Kagan Style Biomorphic Walnut Coffee Table Base MCM Noguchi
This is a very nice biomorphic coffee table base only. It is walnut or similar hard wood and made circa 1960's in the style of Vladimir Kagan. It is in very good condition with some wear to the original finish mostly near the tips and on the bottom legs(see closeup) It has not however been restored. There is a small dent in the edge of one of the cross beams(see closeup) There is a serial number stamped in the bottom 429-1012. The wooden base measures approximately 35" long. 21" wide and 15" high. This sale is for the wooden base only and not the glass top. The glass top is shown in the pictures but is not being sold. BEAUTIFUL 1920's ITALIAN DEMI LUNE CONSOLE TABLE This is fantastic Demi-lune console table from the 1920's. It is Italian in origin and has a very elegant design and look of finesse about it. It has a lovely curved shape that is typical of the end of the nouveau and start of the Deco era. The table is design to be suspended and there are two brackets with which it can be fixed to the wall. The table top has a walnut veneer which has a fantastic grain running through it. The gold in colour and has been beautifully carved. The amount of work that has gone into this piece is fabulous- it has plenty of intricate detail. This really is a lovely table and would look fantastic in any room- it is probably most suited to a hallway but could equally be used in a dining or living room with a nice mirror above it. You will be bidding on a FANTASTIC 1950s Lightolier table lamp. It has a label inside white painted metal cone. It has 3 criss-cross aluminum tube legs that go into walnut bottoms. The walnut flares out at the bottom on each leg. The metal cone has reticulated slits on sides of it. There is a plastic torchiere disc shade. That is held onto top of cone, with porcelain piece that screws onto socket. It has a smooth black plastic switch. We believe it had some sort of drum shade that rested on top of the plastic dish? LARGE! Ebonized Walnut Victorian Grand Piano Legs Carved Pool Table Base SCONCES
4 massive. Matching, ornate furniture legs. Authentic circa 1870-1890. I believe they are solid walnut, but not certain. Built to support HEAVY load, probably 800LBS+. In profile, the legs are serpentine. Deep carving shows leafy fruits/nuts. Bottoms have ornate scrolls on an octagon base. If you do not have any obvious re-use for these, they are wonderful as wall mounted sconces. I have seen them hold anything from family photos to sculpture. They each measure 23 1/4 inches tall, 16 inches wide, and about 10 inches deep. They shows lots of age/wear with chipping. A couple have cracks at bottom octagon. However, still quite solid and in good overall condition. Many other salvaged Victorian artifacts listed. All questions encouraged and answered.
