Set of (4) LARGE Antique Vintage Cast Iron Industrial Casters Wheels table cart
Up for auction is an awesome set of(4) very large 19th century fixed antique cast iron casters. These are extremely heavy duty and weigh just under 11lbs each! The wheels measure approx. 5 3/4" and stand approx. 8" tall overall. The base measures approx. 5" x 4 3/4" with drilled mounting holes that measure 3 5/8" and 4" center to center. The wheels move freely and are covered in surface rust. I have left them exactly as found not knowing if someone wants the aged patina. They need a good cleaning and grease. The only defect I can find is a small chip in one of the wheels.see the photo) I'm not sure if it's an old chip or defect in the casting. Two of the wheels appear as though the holes weren't drilled through after the casting. The wheels are the largest I've seen and with a weight of almost ... more11 lbs. each. joe calcite* VINTAGE INDUSTRIAL* ANTIQUE CAST IRON MACHINE STAND* This offering is for a true antique ALL CAST IRON machine age machinery/ equipment stand/table/ base from at or before 1900. This was in the early years of the industrial age when curves and scallops were incorporated into even the machines of the day. Rusted over when found. Its been power wire brushed to reveal the dark patina of the iron while leaving a nice balance of rust red. The entire piece was then clear matte coated. The bottom of each end of the stretcher has a notch that fits onto a slot on the bottom of the leg. The top of each end fits into a slot at the top of each leg. Then the table top/ work surface is placed onto the legs, sliding a tab on the underside into a slot on the top of each leg. Slipping a lock pin through these last two tabs locks the entire assembly ... morein place. The height from floor to the work surface is 25" The top measures 22" x 15" Each leg is 20" front to back. Here is a nice set of Kenney Bros& Wolkins cast iron adjustable table legs. They would make a great coffee table. End table, or whatever else you can dream up for them. Great industrial look to them. Legs are in great shape with no cracks or repairs. Refer to the pictures for finish condition. There is light rust in places. They could be easily cleaned up and painted or left as is to really show their age. The legs are 11 and 3/4" wide at the base, and 7 and 1/2" wide at the top. Fabulous retro industrial, wonderful original artwork, and even some deco thrown in- there’s something for everyone! You know. I really have no idea what this piece was originally- was it a table base, a part of some type of industrial equipment, some type of mold, a large horn piece- your guess is as good as mine, but all I had to do was take one look at the drop-dead-gorgeous original painted patina- and I knew it has to be mine.er.yours.mine.yours! Weighing in at a hefty 10 1/2 lbs of iron(and a little wood! I put it next to my porch swing to try to give you an idea of the size of this big piece. I also put some ever green branches inside to show you it would make a phenominal vase for ... moreyour dried display(not sure if it would hold water- didn't try, but I see no holes or cracks or light when I hold it up to the sun) It's really asking for something Taaaallllll to go inside the vase(if that's how you use it) as this is a true statement piece. As you can see from my photos, it has a round open"mouth" on one end that opens up all the way to the bottom(I couldn't get my tape measure all the way down, though, because there's what looks like leaves or stuff at the very bottom. The rim of the mouth has 6 screw holes from where it used to be mounted to something. The other end is actually half round(not broken that way, just how the piece was originally) and it is mounted on a 1 1/8" thick piece of wood that measures 7 3/4" by 5 1/2. Now, the piece will stand on it's own on either end- on the wood, or on the round open mouth- which is the way I would have it if you were going to make it into a table base(by removing the wood that's currently on it and replacing it with a larger piece) All together, mounted on the wood, it measures 22 5/8" tall. Antique Heavy Cast Iron Scrollwork Dining Table Base The base is 28" tall and the base measures 35" wide from one foot to the opposite foot. The upper"x" table support is 19" wide. Each direction. There are holes in the ends of the top"x" so that a table top or substructure can be screwed down to it. The tube in the center of the cast iron base is hollow- 1 3/4" in diameter inside. The tube is not open ended. So if you wanted to use as a patio table base, a pole would not go all the way to the ground. Aesthetically speaking, that would probably look better anyway. The base is incredibly sturdy. Weighs about 45 pounds and it once held a 200 pound bluestone table top. It is very solid and an incredible piece of craftsmanship. Up for your consideration is a beautiful CAST IRON 20 ton Railroad Jack turned into a really nice end table. This table is glass a top a cast aluminum wavy pulley wheel that was welded to the top of the Jack. This table top is 18 inches in diameter. I have taking pics of it both inside an out so you could see it in natural light. The Cast Iron Jack Base is heavy weighing approximately 75 lbs. I believe its a 20 ton but not sure and I wouldn't recommend 20 tons on this table: it will hold a hefty amount but remember the top is glass) The wavy wheel on top sits on the jack which will raise and lower but because of its age the jack is tight to move. But it can. The wavy wheel also sits on the top part of the Jack that has slight movement as this was a"jack" and the top gives a little to accommodate whatever its lifting, however ... morethe top is very secure and will not come off. In fact you can lift this table up from the wheel but I recommend lifting from the base because its so heavy and you don't want the weld to break. VINTAGE CAST IRON ARTICULATING TABLE BASE, STEAMPUNK, INDUSTRIAL, DRAFTING, LEGS
Here is a great. Ornate, cast iron articulating table base from a 19th century doctor or dentist chair. It will be the perfect base for that industrial table when you add the top of your choice. It has the"stomp lever" which is all mechanical(no hydraulics) the larger foot lever jacks it up with a ratchet and has about 6" of vertical travel. The smaller lever lets it down. The top tilts in two directions(and locks in place) so it would be a great drawing or drafting table. The top rotates so it would be the most awesome chess table ever. You can do a lot with this and make it into any size table you want. If you take the top piece off(photo 5) it is the perfect coffee table height. With the top and armrests on, it starts at dining table height and raises to counter or bar chair height. The top shown is not included- it is not ... morequite right for this piece. But does help demonstrate what a great table this would make. I sell a lot of this type of stuff and this will probably be the best one I ever have. This has been completely disassembled. Professionally sandblasted, professionally painted, and professionally pinstriped and professionally HAND LETTERED with the original markings- just look at the paint job- top notch. This is one great piece. This is beautifully rendered in figural cast iron and is seriously heavy duty. It will ship via UPS and disassembled into 2 boxes. Nice antique/vintage cast iron swing out stool in good condition. The seat looks to be made of hard rock maple with a stamp on the bottom similar to Tell City. Purchased this years ago from a apple orchard and thought it was used for the old table used for employees that sorted apples but not sure of that. The cast iron is in good condition with a number 8692 stamped on it as well as the number 372-73 and a logo that is a S that looks like the Superman S. Really old stool with hand peined hinges. These swing out stools came from an old workbenches. Lab tables or more uses. The seat is 10 1/2 inches wide 1 1/2 inches tall. The arm is 17 inches from end of cast mount to end of cast mount on bottom of seat by screw. The cast mount is 8 inches high. The arm is 15 inches long from end of cast mount to end of arm. Here is a wonderful solid made scrolled wrought iron base. It is 21 inches tall and 14 inches wide. Nice detail with a 3 inch squared plate on top with a threaded bolt. You could also drill in the plate if needed. There is some shades of country blue paint left with overall surface rust. I think some more of the blue would come through if this was cleaned up some. A fantastic. American, early 20th century table, with cast iron base with original green paint. The base has a very cool shape that is evocative of bistro tables or garden tables, with some rust as is typical with age. The original, in tact Vitrolite white glass top has some slight staining, but it is in amazing shape. Brass Wood Iron Vanity Table w Pivoting Mirror (1848 Pat #) Great Hardware
I don't know too much about furniture but this is one of the most unique. Elegant pieces with a really cool design that I just had to have. Though living in a tiny NYC apt. I decided it was time to let it go. I believe it is a hall or foyer kind of vanity table with drawers and a beveled mirror. I don't know who made it or where. The piece is mainly brass with tripod legs that have balled feet. The top of the tripod stand connects a piece of iron that has three bars that are imprinted(possibly"HALL" I can not make it out too well) The legs are 28.5" from the floor to bottom of wood. On top of the legs is a wooden table that has two drawers on either side that open face up. The table is 15.5" x 10.25" x 3.25" and is painted a light avocado green over a white background so that you can see the brush strokes ... moreand the white. Over that there are light black specs of paint. Looks a bit Mid-Century, this might have been a make over. The beautiful brass pulls are 1.25" in diameter and either brass or copper, the backs are stamped F2394. On the bottom of one of the corners it looks as though some of the wood may have been gnawed off. The top of this table is in dire need of a repaint or stripping, there is much wear. Next is the mirror that is 10.5" in diameter and is nicely beveled. The wood from the back is not perfectly round as there are bumps around the edges of the wood. It appears to have some corrosion as the background is slowly manifesting from the edges. The mirror is in pretty good shape with a cloudiness only in the center. The mirror unscrews from the back so I think it would be easy to replace should you desire.The mirror is attached to a pivoting piece of brass that has a great design. This piece is marked"Prov. Pat 5639" The patent is for this piece of hardware that enables something to move up and down. The date of the patent is 1848, which does not date the piece but the bit of hardware.
