This stand features its original ebonized finish and the original beveled mirror and would be a sweet piece to add a special accent in about any room of your home. It has a small storage drawer with its original Eastlake brass pull. This piece measures 58 inches in total height.28 inches wide and 12 inches deep and weighs approximately 50 lbs. The original beveled mirror measures 17 inches by 13 1/2 inches. The original beveled mirror does show streaking and cloudiness as age appropriate. The very top finial has had an old repair at the very tip top and the left leg appears to have been re-glued at the joint at some point in time and it seems solid and tight. It is in excellent vintage condition and truly stunning. We removed all of the brass mounts from the legs and drawer pulls. They were all hand polished/cleaned removing years of tarnish and oxidation. We then sprayed them with a clear lacquer topcoat so they will maintain their lustre for years to come. The desk and chair were given a light restoration and cleaning. They were then both hand rubbed/polished with 2 coats of clear paste wax. We gave the chair's upholstery seat a cleaning with a professional hot steam extractor machine. The leather top is in excellent condition- no rips. An ebonized wood hanging cabinet. About 37 inches by 17.5 inches by 10 inches. Attributable to Kimbel and Cabus of New York in about the 1870's. This cabinet has a gallery top with an asymetric back. A compartment with original hardware and beveled glass, a left side tall gallery and an under shelf. It is in good condition with some small losses to the surface such as may be seen in photo#7. The surface of the piece is in original condition and has not been refinished. There are hanging brackets on the back. One appears to have been repositioned at some time in the past. There are no breaks or alterations apart from this repositioned hanging bracket. The cabinet features incised ornamentation in the Aesthetic style. It is unsigned. This cabinet was owned by Dr. Sidney Krawitz of Mitford. Pennslyvania, author of the definitive Tax Atlas, ... moreand the First Public Defender in Pikes County, Pennsylvania, as well as being solicitor to Milford Borough and later the President of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. For your consideration this early 1900's Bausch& Lomb Microscope. I dont know much about these items but this one is in working condition. It stands 12" tall when at it's shortest. It comes with 2 upper lenses. 5& 10, and the bottom rotating lens deck has 2 different lenses, 16mm 0.25 and 4mm 0.85. The upper lens housing also says W M Welch Co. Chicago Ill. with the# 132273. The lighting mirror has a flat side and a concave side and is exlnt. I dont know that it is perfect but I viewed some items and it does work and is not beat up in any way. The box has a mar in the finish shown in one photo but is also in excellent condition with pull out drawer for upper lenses. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN WALNUT EASTLAKE FRAME w/ INCISED GOLD DESIGN IN EACH CORNER. Circa 1860’s– 1880’s. Ebonized trim around the outside edge and the inside opening. FRAME IS IN“AS IS” CONDITION– FINISH IS ORIGINAL BUT THE STRUCTURE NEEDS SOME RESTORATION. The front of the frame has original finish in pretty good condition– the problem are the outside edges– no finish on them. Some nail holes and splintery broken edges where nails were– there may have been another wood layer on the outside of the frame. A little sanding on the sides would help! Dark original finish on the front of the frame. The incised gold design on the corners has faded– needs to be re-touched. Outer measurements of the frame are 20 ¼ inches by 24 ¼ inches. The frame can be used vertically or horizontally. Opening size is 16 ¾ inches by 20 ¾. The frame ... moreis 3/4 inch deep measured from the side and about 2 inches wide measured from the front. FINE PAIR OF WINDOW CORNICE GOLD & EBONIZED WOOD & PLASTER CIRCA 1890
This is the finest pair of window cornices that I have owned in many years. These highly decorative cornices are made of wood and plaster. They are painted a base coat of gold with ebony accents. I bought these to use in my home but they did not fit properly and I did not want to alter them. There was some damage to the plaster that I had repaired. Some of the repair was damaged again when I moved but it is very minor. The black and gold paint needs to be touched up where the repairs were made. The cornices are a good size. They measure 64" long. 8" high, 8" deep on the outside, and 5" deep on the inside. They will need to be wrapped and boxed seperately to ship via UPS so the shipping quote should be doubled. And was made by Druce& Company of London. Measures 95.1" high, 67" wide, and 14.2" deep. Inspired by the designs of Boulle under Louis XIV, this ebonized mahogany cabinet features extensive ormolu bronze mounts and brass marquetry. Lower cabinet doors open to reveal two shelves with old red velvet and the Druce and Co. nameplate. The upper cabinet features glazed and curved glass side panels and glazed doors and two adjustable shelves. Overall condition is good. There is a crack with losses to the brass in the upper left section of the lower left door, and other minor cracks to the brasses. It's roughly 100 years old and most likely ebonized rosewood. The top has an inset piece of scalloped rose colored marble. The table measures 18 inches all around; 18 inches high by 18 inches wide by 18 inches deep. The marble is in great condition. As for the wood, there is one bottom runner missing. It's a smooth curved piece and should be easy to have made by a carpenter. When in place, this table will be solid. There are a couple of little nicks in the wood and one triangular repaired crack on top, but the majority of this piece is in exceptional shape for its age.
