The odds of having a complete set of both pairs is not very good, but here they are! The taller ones measure about 8" tall. The other pair is maybe 1/3" shorter. The piece that sticks out that mounts to the tub measures 4" from the edge of the ridge in front to the back, and the top surface measures about 4 3/4" wide. They have wear. Flaky white paint, surface rust, etc. etc. but no major problems, and they look really great! They would also repurpose nicely as feet for a small table or footstool. England in 1898 by the illustrious Victorian silversmith, Henry Matthews at his Vittoria Street workshops. It is in a gorgeous oval shape with lovely embossed decoration and has a beautiful scalloped lip. It is a lovely size. It measures 4 1/2" wide. Almost 3 1/4" deep and stands 1/2" high- it weighs 31.4 grams- which is over 1 troy oz. It is NOT engraved to the cartouche in the centre. Up for bid is the vintage/antique PRINTING PRESS with TONS OF EXTRAS/ BONUS PRINTING ITEMS/SUPPLIES. As seen in the pictures/ as described in the title. This is my first press find. I know little about it. Other than the missing roller(s) it looks to be complete and fully functional. No blarringly obvious defects whatsoever. From my research. I believe this to be an early Sigwalt Model from circa the late 19th century that is in exceptionally good condition in comparison to others its age. Features many original, multi-colored Victorian style lithograph decals at both sides and small accents throughout(at other sides and crevases, see pics) Some are faded and partial, most near complete and quite bright& vivid. Amazingly, the vast majority of the original black paint/ japanning remains. Another very cool feature is the last, very old ... morepiece of paper found in the frame. It is a"FASHION SHOW" advertisement/announcement that was to take place at Wallace School on Willow Ave on May 28, 1982. Also included are all of the extras found with the press. I do not"speak presses" so I will let the pictures be the extras' official description(see 1st& last pictures) I did not open any of the cans/tubes of ink/gloss though it is clear that they are nearly full. Actual contents/usability unknown. At the very least, they are neat display items and surely have collectability/value in their advertising qualities alone. The(10) quoins are of(3) different types/sizes/makers(see last pic) and have superb patina. The lead spacers are brand new. When found, they were in a box, half out of the package(seen in 1st& last pics) I just removed the rest to show how many are included(a few hundred, I would guess) I picked from a Northern N.J. farm estate that was first developed in the late 18th century. Here on offer is a wonderful rare Victorian table top face screen with needlepoint& beadwork. 1840-60. An early Victorian table top face screen with wool silk yarns and glass beads. To compose and execute the needlepoint tapestry. These small screens were a necessity of any fine home's sitting rooms, where visiting ladies who wished to sit near the warmth of the fire could place them to screen the face from the ravages of the heat. Makeup of the Georgian and Victorian era was often wax-based and would melt and run, quite literally, in direct heat, and those without makeup risked blotchy redness if exposed, so you can imagine how necessary these truly were. The gilded and embossed brass cruciform poles are in good condition with their original six little suspension loops and pretty pointed finials. One is a little bent. The gilded ... moreframe has a white porcelain base section to the upright that is uniquely in excellent condition without damage. The cruciform frame sits in a substantial base that is heavily embossed and is gilded. The underside of the base has a green woven woollen fabric to protect the expensive furniture. The stand is made to lift the screen out if desired. But slips into the base for hands-free use or as a decorative accent. The needlework is exquisitely done and embellished with beadwork. The hand embroidery has a robust canvas as a base which is entirely covered in cross stitch. The beautifully worked leaves are in satin stitch. The embroidery has been completed with fine woollen threads. The background is in lilac and deep rose. The leaves have a variety of greens with brown veins and stems. The beadwork forms wonderful dense hanging flowers made from white glass seed beads and faux pearls, with clear glass seed beads forming parts of the stems. The beadwork is remarkably complete with only five pearls missing. The panel is backed with black silk. The panel is in good stable condition. Antique 4 Claw Footed Victorian Plant Stand Side Table Brass Cast Iron Steampunk
Here we have a great victorian plant stand that has brass legs cast claw feet and cast iron top and leg brass. There is also a mirror in the center that you could either keep or replace with a small piece of marble or a tile. The top of the table. Is about 13 1/4 inches by 13 1/4 inches, this includes the cast iron on the sides of the mirror. This table stands about 29 1/2 inches tall. As you can see from the photos this table was painted, some time ago, all in gold. If you look at photo 11 you can see the brass legs are decorated similar to another table that I have listed. The buyer could choose to keep the old gold paint or remove it from the brass legs and show it's original design. This table will ship FedEx ground so it will not be able to ship to a PO Box. Antique Victorian ornate wood occasional table
Beautiful antique ornate table. Very detailed legs& underneath. Table measures 31" wide x 21" deep x 29.5" tall. I'm not sure about wood type. But I was told by woodworker that the legs and detail are Mahogany. Antique dealer estimated it to be early 1900's. Top was either replaced or repaired. There is a split right down the middle of the table top and a metal brace under the top that holds the two pieces together. Very nicely done repair. I have tried to show that in the pictures.it never bothered me, but I used the piece and am not a collector or dealer. I am changing my decor from antiques to more modern and can't use this table any more. Although the pictures show the table in my garage, it has been kept inside until recently-May 18.
