It was most likely for a high end pool hall. The 4” diameter column of reeded solid brass pipe is accented by a considerable disc of natural onyx and all of the fittings are cast and engine turned brass with traces of dore color. The surfaces are all original and have not been polished, so you will note spots of tarnish and verdigris under a protective coat of wax. Likewise the base has worn original gold paint under a dark wax polish that accents the details in the casting. The white metal has a missing anthemion and several structural cracks with late bolt repairs and some baling wire thrown in for good measure. The wrought iron reinforcements appear to be original. It is sturdy and usable and stands just a bit off-kilter. It has NO top and will be shipped disassembled so be sure to save a photo from the auction site for easy re-assembly. 8 Piece Lot of Eastlake Style Victorian Era Furniture
This is a lot of family owned Eastlake style Victorian Furniture. The various pieces were purchased in the Washington. D.C. area between the early 1870's and the early 1890's and have been"one owner" pieces. The lot includes a matching dresser with framed mirror, washstand with framed mirror and nightstand. All three pieces have the original marble tops. The matching bed headboard top piece is included. The bed frame, sideboards, two lower headboard pieces and foot board were stolen in late 2012. Also included are a woman's arm chair and three matching table chairs. All pieces are in fine condition and were restored. During the early 1970's. The washstand mirror is original glass, but the silver is gone and a non-period mirror is mounted behind the original beveled glass. The mirror glass in the dresser frame is ... morenon-period. The three matching table chairs could use reupholstrering. Individual small piece items shown on furniture are NOT included. The wash set shown on the wash stand may be negotiated. The piece is elegantly simple and takes up very little room. It measures 24 11/16" wide x 17 7/8" deep x 49.25" high. This piece has the original finish that has been reconditioned to a high sheen. There are some age and use appropriate dings under the finish as well. It is missing one of the original handles as well. The drawers all have dove tailed joints as well. Here's a fabulous. Antique"Victorian Eastlake Carved Walnut Bench or Stool" with an embroidered hinged top for storage. This amazing piece came out of a wonderful New England estate. It measures about 11" wide X 22" long and stands about 21.5" tall. The top is beautifully embroidered and the base has fabulous carved fretwork. I'm not positive but I believe the wood to be walnut. It's a very sturdy piece and in great condition for its 100+ years. There is a split in the wood on a piece of the fretwork and there are some holes and wear in the embroidery. We are pleased to offer for your consideration a wonderful lighted roombox featuring a chandelier and two Limoge chairs and matching table with a small vase containing flowers. The walls are adorned with exquisite miniature Victorian paintings. Wall sconces and even a mini Cameo picture. There is a gold door in the back round with a view of the“outside” The wall paper is intricately detailed with victorian themed paper, it truly is a site to behold. The box measures 14l X 11w 1/2 X 7depth inches. This fetching room was handcrafted and signed on the back(see photos) by Adele Wilkie 1974. The room is wired to light up but will need a cord repair as there is a break in the cord where it attaches to the on/off switch. Even with that we do not know if it will light up. Vintage Antique Victorian Baby Doll-Teddy Bear High Chair Furniture
This high chair is appears to be made of Oak and is in excellent condition with a beautiful finish. We have it for many years and we were told it was made in the 1800's. There are no metal screws used anywhere and there are no cracks or damage to the chair. It was used in a doll collection and is perfect for a doll or teddy bear collection. I have not found a high chair like this anywhere and what I have found is not as nice or has the intricate wood work. The chair is 33" tall. Description Handsome lot of Victorian ornate brass furniture pull backing plates. This group came from the estate of a furniture restorer. The hardware in the estate went back to the turn of the century and earlier. The plates are substantial pressed brass and are quite attractive. There are four matching plates with a neat bumpy design. These 4 are very interesting plates probably going back to the late 1800s. All in the picture is included. SET OF 6 MATCHING ANTIQUE VICTORIAN PRESSED BRASS FURNITURE DRAWER PULLS
Description Large and substancial ornate pressed brass Victorian furniture pulls with iron handles. The pulls came from the estate of a furniture restorer. The estate hardware went back to the 1800s. Each pull measures 5 by 2 1/2 inches. They are in very nice condition and not dented up as you often see on the pressed pulls. The pulls are handsome and display wonderfully.
