Look at the burl panels on the fancy cutout legs and burls on the skirt. It is a wonderful looking table with a great looking patina of the solid walnut frame. The shapely white and gray grain marble top has an ogee bevel edge. One corner of the marble is a small hairline fracture, but it is not broken or cracked. It has incise carved frame skirt, incise carved legs joined together with a center column and it comes with the original castors. The overall size is 32 inches long, 24 inches deep and 31 inches high. It is a great looking stand to accent your room. Nice lot of 6 old salvaged pulls for your consideration. There are two matching sets of three. All are in good reusable condition although one set will need some cleaning of old pink paint. The pink set has pressed steel backplates with cast iron bail handles and the other set has cast iron backplates as well as the handles. All have the original set screws. Please ask any questions. The couch measures 22 inches by 11 inches by 10 1/2 inches. The leather is considerably worn. But there are no tears or broken pieces. The lady told me that many years ago salesman would travel from store to store with a smaller version of what they were selling. These were easier to carry and was able to sell more items. Vintage Victorian Oak Furniture Adjustable PIANO STOOL Glass Ball Claw Feet
You are bidding on a beautiful piece of vintage furniture from my Aunt's collection. I remember this piece being in her home for the last 40 years. I am not certain where it came from originally, but this is a very nice solid oak piano stool, with adjustable seat, lovely glass ball and claw feet, and very nice design. It has very minor wear from age as we were not allowed to sit or play on it. I searched for a name or maker and only could find an incised number in the bottom of the top of the stool. The stool measures 14" across(seat and leg to leg) the height is 19" up to 20.5" a terrific addition to a collection. Shipping listed is for standard post. Spectacular"Highly Figured Solid Maple" Chest of Drawers Circa 1895 I fully restored this lovely piece.It features incredible"highly figured" solid maple with Birdseye maple veneers on the oxbow top drawer fronts. All of the brass hardware. Including the key hole covers are original.As you can see the hardware is the icing on this cake! The original drawer locks are all in place and in excellent working order using the beautiful key I had made. The top of the dresser has incredible patina and some of the finest grain figuring you will see.The top is first class all the way. All drawers were totally rebuilt and slide like silk. The drawers feature the highly sought after dovetail joinery. I restored the finish all by hand using a custom rich stain to achieve the highlighted rich burgundy followed by many. Many coats of ... morehand rubbed varnish.When you rub your hands over the finish you will feel the superb depth and notice the beauty of the amazing maple grains. This is a"bonnet top" dresser meaning the top two drawers protrude and overhand the lower level drawers. The sides have great architectural design with the paneled construction. Like any fine antique. This piece has minor imperfections and character marks in the wood. The posts which hold the drawer handle in place are brass plated steel, some of the plating has worn off after 135 plus years. The photos show casters in the legs. They will not be included.I find they tend to split the legs.There is a knot depression on the upper left side(see photo) I think it adds character and figuring just like the top of the dresser. This piece is solid. GRIFFINS! Carved Secretary Desk Door Gothic Victorian Furniture Pediment HORNER?
One of the nicest panels I have ever sold! May have been made by the famous furniture maker R.J. Horner. But not certain. Circa, 100+ years old. Wood appears to be walnut. It has a wonderfully framed, bevelled, center recessed panel. Inside has dramatically 3 dimensional carvings. Middle head appears to be a roaring lion with mythical griffins to the left and right. If that wasn't enough, the outside border is also elaborately detailed. Great rich patina. Some outside border wear, but wonderful overall condition. This is an absolutely SHOWSTOPPER of a piece.
