Collectible Very Old Regency Period Antique Round Mahogany Tilt Top Table. Measures 30" round and is 28" h. This is the finest Regency table of this type we have had in over 15 years of selling fine antiques. This is an incredible example of fine craftsmanship from the era. Solid mahogany tilt top is wavy from the age which is very typical. There is some minor wear in center of the top that takes away nothing. Fabulous carved acanthus leaf on pedestal terminating in extravagant paw feet in gold gilt paint. You will love this piece. Prince George(Prince of Wales) was Regent from 1811– 1820 but Regency became a convenient name for the first 30 years of the 19th Century. Regency furniture was the neoclassical antique style mixed with empire style and the later Georgian style of furniture. Elaborate and ornate. Antiques from Greece, Rome and Egypt were a source of inspiration for furniture designers, attempts were made to make actual copies of ancient furniture and there was even a vogue to copy some of the stone furniture, producing them in mahogany. The regency style of furniture carried on through the William IVs reign, but introduced a few more curves and some elegant decoration. Antique Regency furniture was plain. Slender and elegant. Brass was used for decoration, rosewood and zebrawood veneers were used for a striking look. Mahogany was still the wood of choice for most furniture makers. French polishing came into vogue around 1810 and allowed for smoother shinier finishes which suited the new elegant pieces. Antique primative hutch bench tilt top table. Its a nice blue painted piece. Its in good condition for a table that has been used this much. It is good and solid and should last another hundred years. This is not a reproduction it has good age. It came from an estate in Brooklyn Connecticut. These tables are also refered to as settle tables. The dimensions are 48 inches long by 28 inches deep and 29 inches high witch is normal hight. The top just flips up and back to turn the table into a bench or settle. When the top is in the down position a wood dowel holds it in place. The table is what is called a scrub top which means worn smooth. It makes a great second table also because of being able to be a bench when the table is not needed. When the top is up the bench opens for storage underneath. One of the wood dowels has been chewed by the ... morefamily dog it seams(bad dog) see photos. The scalloped top of the pie crust table is just amazing. Just a couple of marks on the top of it to report. I think the table is most likely made of mahogany. But you be the judge. The table base and top appear to all be intact. I see no repairs to the base. Hard to tell with the top. Based upon how made, but again all the pieces seem to be there. Check out the claw carvings on the three legs. The spindle bottom finial and then the spindles for the base of the table that hinges where the locking pegs are. The locking pegs look appropriate to the table, one the once removed, the top can be hinged to the side for storing along a wall, and the other that allows the top to be ... moreremoved from the base. It is from about 1760 and over time has developed pleasing wear. The condition is good overall. But there is a crack in one of the legs, but it does not affect the integrity and stability of the table. The tilt top works, and the lock is original, but has one of the screws replaced. This is a Vintage Wood ROUND TOP TABLE. The table top tilts and rotates. The top is about 33 1/4 inches in diameter. Overall height of the table with the top level is about 28 1/2 inches. It has a three leg pedestal base with birdcage on top. The top was refinished at some point in the past. It has wear and scratches and can use a refinishing again. This may be a good time to refresh the whole table. The hinge that releases and retains the top functions properly. I do not know anything about its provenance or history as far as who constructed it. It came from the estate of an older English couple. I am told that they owned it for over 60 years. Presented here is a genuine antique Queen Anne American made early Candlestand in the tilt top snake foot style so fashionably conscious in the candle power era of the country when light was a precious resource after sunset. Enter the Candlestand into the home and hearth at the ready! The 17.25" round diameter mahogany flip top rests upon a long elegant turned single bracelet. Lower urn shaft typical of the period in simple design, ending in trifid snake feet with padded bottoms all in the same dark West Indian mahogany that was imported for use in the colonial cabinet making shops. The age most certainly is 18th mid century, and no later in period form than 1810 or so when clunkier Sheraton styles in lighter maple crept into style as towns grew along with demand for household furniture. It stands 28" tall easily moveable around a room to follow the sunlight until darkness necessitates using a single candle atop. Nice old mellow patina as original and found from a Mid Atlantic estate farmhouse. Condition Report: Two tiny dings in top. Slight crooked tilt to upright top with age shrinkage. Slight finish peel on upright shaft of old shellac. Shellac is actually made from a bug.it lasts only 100 years before it begins to peel on old surfaces. All original parts. No refinish. for sale is a nice antique tilt top pie crust walnut table. the table is well made and works perfectly. it has a nice finish which appears to be original. it sits on a central carved pedestal with three carved legs pegged into the bottom of the central support column. the legs have ball and claw feet which is a great feature. these tables have a multiplicity of uses from serving as a tea table or a pedestal for a large fern. Bust, or whatever. these tables were used mostly as tea tables and could be easily stored having a tilt top. just shove it against the wall and with three legs, there is only one sticking out about 6 inches to step over. anyway, it is 25 inches in diameter and 27.5 inches tall. it is in great condition, it has one little nick out of the top barely noticeable and may have a couple of other little bruises. i really didn't ... moresee anything, but being 100 years old there is bound to be a few minor blemishes. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. good luck.

This auction is for a non-tilt. Kramer-style Maple/Maple banana neck. This neck is of unknown manufacture but is clean and in very good shape, arrow-straight with a functioning truss-rod at the nut. 10mm tuner holes, 1 5/8" at the nut(top-mount R2) with a 2 3/16" neck heel. No manufacturer markings anywhere on the neck and only real blem is the neck heel looks like it was rounded off a little. I received this neck recently already setup on an mid-80's Kramer Focus 2000 and it played great! Finish is smooth. Frets are in good shape with barely noticeable wear on the first couple frets(again, please see pics) This neck is going to make someone very happy and hopefully restore your"shred" guitar.

19th C. Antique Dutch Rare Porcelain Marquetry Inlaid Tilt-top Table Provenance
Here we have an unique cica 1860s Antique side table from the Netherlands. I am a fairly knowledgeable collector that owns a diverse collection of American and European pieces from the 1710s up to the 1860s. I have never seen or read about any such piece of furniture as this one. The most unique and striking feature is the porcelain mounted ontop of the table. I have some knowledge in antique Chinese and European porcelains: Qing. Sevres and 19th C. painted porcelains. I have never come across one similar to this porcelain. It gives me a Middle Eastern feel, but a porcelain expert told he was not sure either and that"it could be French. The top is profusely and systematically inlaid with Burl Walnut. Ebony, Rose and Mahogany. The ormolu mounts are all present, except the tassels and small gauge chains that were once daggling on the bottom ... moreside edges of the frieze. sides of top) These could be replaced, if desired. The measurements are: Top 15 1/2" square and height of 30" and legs splay out 16 1/2" Condition wise. The standard(shaft) has been touched up by the, due to paint losses. The top has been screwed secure so the top no longer tilts, which is common in older stands. This was due to the broken period hinge. These repairs can easily be reversed. The lock mechanism is period and orginal. The ormulu mounts are original and retain most of its gilding, but tarnished. There is also a missing small mount on one of the knees on the leg. I like to look at the tool marks on the underside of the legs. These are the only visible tool marks. Every other tool mark has been planned away. Which are signs of craftmanship and quality. The straight up-and-down mechanical saw marks on the legs are consistent with saw technology during the third-quarter of the 19th century. POSSIBLY FROM CHANNEL ISLANDS This beautiful tilt-top mahogany breakfast or centre table dates to the mid-19th century and is English. It was possibly made in the Channel Islands. Which are situated in the southern portion of English Channel off the coast of Normandy. The round top has an unusual scalloped or wavy edge with a recessed wavy-edge apron. It stands on a elegantly acanthus carved column ending in a triangular platform base with three large carved paw feet and concealed casters. The table measures 50”dia. x 18-¼”h. Condition: The table has the expected minor wear. Rubbing to the finish, dings and scratch commensurate with its age. There has also been a couple minor repairs to the carving on the base and feet. As can be seen in the photographs, the ... moretop is made of two pieces of mahogany joined together in the middle. Over the years the two pieces have separated approximately 1/8” 0.3 cm) When flat this small gap is hardly noticeable.
