The glass balls in the feet measure 3 inches across and the legs. At the widest point, about half way up, measures 3 1/4 inches across. This table is not marked. Signed, dated, stamped or otherwise labeled. There is a small dark stain to the table top that measures approx 4inches by 2 inches. A darker spot next to that as well but not sure what that spot is. Both can be seen in the last picture. There are no major chips. Cracks or other issues to any part of the wood. It is possible this is a Louis F Nonnast table made between 1878-1888. I do not know much about this size. Style or age. If you have any information that may be helpful to identifying this piece. I would very much appreciate dropping me a line or two. Look at the massive. Hand carved talon feet on the table! The detail is second to none and I included a picture of the feet against my hands(I'm 6'3 with very large fists) The table has some nicks, scrapes, bumps, and missing veneer but is in overall excellent condition. The underside of the table has been secured with wood to ensure rigidity. You can convert the table back to being able to expand easily. No leaves are included and the additional rail and pedestal extension are not included. The chairs are not original to the table but go well with the table. All chairs have caned seating and 4 of the 6 are functional. 2 chairs will need the caning replaced. Notice that the chairs are in excellent shape and are all sturdy but do have some nicks and bumps with one of the chairs with the broken caning having damage on the backside as pictured. Antique Tiger Oak Wood Round Pedestal Dining Table Claw Feet
I am selling this wonderful Tiger Oak table that can be used for a kitchen or dining area. It is a dramatic piece and everyone comments on it when they come in. As you can see. I used it in a kitchen nook with a window seat before I changed decor. The table is 45" diameter. I have no idea how old it is but there is a sign on the bottom that says_Co. Montoursville, PA. I can't read the first part of the sign clearly. It is in good antique condition with a couple of bumps that could be retouched. See the next to last photo and look toward the center. The other bump did not show up in my pictures. It has a couple of injured paws as shown in 4 and 7 and the locking mechanism underneath may need another part to help it close. I do not have the leaf. It is constructed of solid(no veneer) oak. The oak is quarter sawn to expose an extraordinary Tiger Oak pattern. The desk is simplistic in design and elegant in character. It has a single drawer on the front center with a lovely brass pull. The legs are cabriole and feature a gently curved design with chiseled feet. The legs also possess the Tiger pattern. I will Entertain any offers you would like to give on this table. It is a Mid 1800's Victorian Solid Oak Quarter sawn Lion's claw foot table. No Veneer what so ever. Solid oak. My parents bought this in upstate New York in 1945. As you can see. They really overbuilt things back in the day, and that is why it stood the test of time. It slides open perfectly, locks closed perfectly. It is tight and strong. No chips or gauges. All fastners are in place and are original. Large 48" round. This table was taken care of beautifully. It shows its age(Well over 100 years) as it has not been revamped as I know it. Always kept indoors and out of direct sunlight. I have leafs for it that are not original, but they are solid oak and work to extend this table to accomodate 8 persons comfortably. The detail is in incredible condition. The quarter ... moresawn vertical column is super thick and shows off well. The Claw feet are huge and hand carved. I hate to sell this, but I am moving into a place that is requires a different decor, so it would be a shame to just store this in the garage. It needs to go to a good home. Vintage Ornate Tiger Oak Drawers and Frames from Singer Treadle Table
The drawers in this set are beautiful and ornate. The finish on the front of the drawers is smooth and glossy as you can see in the photos. From the grain of the wood I think it's called tiger oak. The drawers are in very nice shape and the basic structure of the frames that hold the drawers are solid The frames themselves even have the 4 iron hooks that would attach to the iron treadle base. The surface on the sides of the frames do have varying degrees of damage which I have been sure to show in the pictures. If you look at the bottom view of the frames that show the iron hooks you can see that the frame on the left side of the picture is missing half of the trim- you can see the long piece on the left side and the short piece on the bottom; trim on right and top of the left-hand case is missing. We purchased this at a local estate sale and this is just the way we bought it. It will need cleaning and some work. This appears to be a larger size tabletop phonograph compared to what I have seen of others. The cabinet is in pretty decent condition with solid tiger oak design. Has some scuff marks and wear. There are 3 spots that I noticed where the veneer has split inside the top lid. But I think they could be glued back. The handle that came with it will not screw into the inside, the treads on the end of the handle are stripped. On the side of the cabinet where the handle goes into the box, it looks like the round copper plate maybe homemade, it doesn't look ... moreoriginal to me. The green felt is worn and should be replaced. The motor does work, they used a bolt to wind it up to demonstrate it, so it will run, just needs to have the handle re-threaded I think. The cloth front is dirty and probably not the original cover. I think that's about it. Buy it for restoration or for parts. The square pedestal split base table is tiger oak and an antique. Gorgeous claw feet with wheels under them. If you would just add a little stain on top it would be gorgeous or keep as is. That is the beauty of antiques they have had previous lives. The square top measures 4'x4' The base splits in half for easy transport. The last picture shows the table top with scratch cover on it. Nothing looks so awesome, authentic and enriching as these old office furnishings, with all their details of incredible quartersawn joinery& cast, aged brass. This is a nice piece of fine American Oak. These were the file cabinets of their day. But to make such a thing now would be an immense extravagance. And you can't fake this kind of character and lived-in feel of a fine old piece like this. But of course you can adapt card-file cabinets to hold every sort of smallish thing in very organized grids of drawers. The Tiger-Oak is awesome. This kind of dense. Spectacularly ... morefigured old growth White Oak is virtually extinct, if you found one of these ancient trees that were once ubiquitous in the Eastern Woodlands, it should be preserved as among the very last individuals of their kind. This is a beautiful round 54" antique tiger oak dining room table. Circa mid- to late 1800s per the antique dealer when purchased. It has 5 very thick, solid, and sturdy legs done with the rope twist design. The rope twist design is also around the"skirt" of the table. I used this in my office to hold client meetings for the last 12-years before recent retirement, where it was lovingly and gently used. It is in beautiful condition. It is a Mid 1800's Victorian Solid Oak Quarter sawn Lion's claw foot table. No Veneer what so ever. Solid oak. My parents bought this in upstate New York in 1945. As you can see. They really overbuilt things back in the day, and that is why it stood the test of time. It slides open perfectly, locks closed perfectly. It is tight and strong. No chips or gauges. All fastners are in place and are original. Large 48" round. This table was taken care of beautifully. It shows its age(Well over 100 years) as it has not been revamped as I know it. Always kept indoors and out of direct sunlight. I have leafs for it that are not original, but they are solid oak and work to extend this table ... moreto accomodate 8 persons comfortably. The detail is in incredible condition. The quarter sawn vertical column is super thick and shows off well. The Claw feet are huge and hand carved. I hate to sell this, but I am moving into a place that is requires a different decor, so it would be a shame to just store this in the garage. It needs to go to a good home. THE MANDEL PHONOGRAPH TABLE TOP MODEL I know absolutely nothing about phonographs so please feel free to ask any questions. We purchased this at a local estate sale. After looking over the machine. Here's what I have observed: The cabinet is in pretty decent condition with solid tiger oak design. Has some scuff marks and wear. There are 3 spots on the inside of the lid flat surface that I where the thin veneer has split, although this could easily be re-glued back down. The threads on the end of the crank handle are stripped, so this will need to be re-threaded in order to wind the machine. On the right side of the cabinet where the handle goes into the box, it looks like the round copper plate is probably not original, possibly homemade years ago. The green felt is worn and could easily be replaced. After winding the machine(using a ... morebolt screwed into the motor) the motor ran for some time but sounded like the gears needed to be greased. The cloth front is dirty and probably not the original cover. I think that's about it. All and all, with a little TLC you would have a nice looking phonograph. I'll let you decide. This is a rare Globe Wernicke tiger oak cabinet. It has 12 drawers. Eleven of the twelve drawers have a metal bracket to hold a label. This cabinet has a tambor to conceal the drawers. There is a lock. But I do not have the key. A skeleton key may fit. I haven't checked. The cabinet has an oigee top and base. The back of the cabinet appears to be made of pine. This beautiful old table is solid and extra-long. Based on its construction, I’m guessing that it’s around 100 years old. I have found no identifying marks. Overall Dimensions: 95 ¾” x 41 ½” x 30” L x W x H) Table Top: 93” x 39 ½” Distance from floor to bottom of the frame: 24 ½” Weight: 163 lbs. Each of the 4 massive legs is made up of 3 or 4 pieces that were glued together before being turned. The leg diameter about halfway up is 4 ¾” And the foot diameter is 5 ¼” There are a few scratches on the top. As you would expect to find on a table that was used for decades. The frame of the table has been repaired in a couple of places, and near one ... morecorner, glue is visible along the outside of the lower edge(see photo#6) There are a few vertical“stripes” around the perimeter, where dark stain ran down the sides. Two of the boards that make up the table top have separated slightly near one end, and the separation extends for a little more than a foot. Each leg is secured by a single square nut. Mission Arts & Crafts Tiger Oak Game / Card or Entryway Entry Table Stickley Era
This is a gorgeous antique Mission/ Arts& Crafts game table. Expertly crafted with very clean lines and nice details out of some of the nicest solid tiger oak I've ever seen. We were using it mainly as an entryway table(with a runner on top) But have since moved and don't have a good space for it anymore. It could easily be set against the back of a sofa and pulled out when needed for games as well! I have kept a watch on ebay and have never seen another one quite like it. The table has a drawer at the top for keeping your cards. Scoresheets, chips, etc. The top folds open to reveal a very nice flat green/blue felt table surface, perfect for games. It has had one small repair to the edge of the top which is hardly noticeable as the wood filler blends well with the wood.
