We took the top into the restoration shop to scuff it down and re-spray it to bring out the gorgeous grains used. There are still some minor nicks and dings that can barely be seen through the finish. My first choice would be to display wooden horn phonographs on them, it would be perfect!! They have four legs with a circular shelf underneath that is approximately 24 inches round and is held up by four fancy fretwork shelf supports that join the legs. The skirt has egg and dart molding.

For your consideration we are offering this antique Mission tiger oak coffee table circa early 1900s. Overall this piece measures in at an approximate 18"H x 42"D. This piece is solid oak not veneered. Condition is as shown/ follows: I'm selling the table in need of full refinish/ restoration. The finish is badly worn as shown and should be redone. The structure of the table quite good: There is some very tight smooth board separation to the top and random bruises, scratches, bangs, chips etc.The mortise through detail is cosmetic not structural, one of the through tenons is chipped up. None of the issues would present much of a problem to a furniture refinisher. The legs are semi spade shaped at the bottom and do have inset ball casters. The upper legs are held on by wing nuts and do remove for shipping as does the cross stretcher. ... moreI bought this table from an estate a few years ago with the intention of redoing it myself but never got to it. Up for sale today is a beautiful antique tiger oak dining table and six chairs. This table was purchased in the late 1800's/early 1900's by either my great great grand fa ther or my great grandfather(they had the same name) who lived near Chicago. Illinois. This one comfortably seats 12 and will seat more if you care to get closer. I do not know if the chairs are original to the table. They do match and they are the only chairs I have ever seen with the table, but I was not around in the 1800's. The table is in wonderful condition as it has always been used with the original. Thick table pads protecting it and a table cloth over that. My family ha ve always been non-smokers. So there are no burn marks or yellow marks. The table needs a good cleaning, that is all. The chairs show more wear as they don't have protection like ... morethe ta ble. They are still used daily. The cushions have been replaced over the years and are now a fruit pattern. The last picture is of the store label holding the table for my great great grandfather(or great grandfather) This label is still in place under the table top. The table was purchased at Carson Pirie Scott& Co. This is an expanding table with four 10" leaves for adjusting t he size. At it's smalle st. The table is 54" round. At it's largest. It is approximately 94" long. The pads are made in sections so fit whatever size you wish the table to be. Pictures show the table at its smallest. Its largest, and also with three leaves in place. The mechanics for adjustment work smoothly. There are wheels on the base of the table and it rolls easily. Please look carefully at the pictures. This table is well over 100 years old. In my opinion. It shows very minimal wear for its age, but it is not"like new" Please keep in mind that the chairs, having been used for these many years, show much more wear than the table. Antique tiger oak dining table and 8 chairs with 10 leaves, Murphy Chair Co.
Solid tiger oak antique(circa 1920s) table and 8 chairs(original Murphy i.d. plate) Excellent condition with 10 additional leaves. This has been in my family since it was purchased with one owner until I was given the table and chairs. I think the cut of wood is tiger or tiger eye as they call it. I'm not positive on this but an expert would be able to tell pretty easily.

With the five matching leaves installed, the table extends to 99 inches! The piece is solid as a rock, with the extension controlled by the patented locking mechanism known as the Tyden Table Lock. This is an Antique Tiger Oak Wheeler& Wilson Treadle Sewing Machine Cabinet Lid. It came from a Model No. 9 table where the machine folding into the cabinet. Please verify all measurements below before bidding. It comes with the lid. Hinges and mounting screws. All hinges and screws are in good working order. I have pictured the tiger oak stripe from a couple different view. The top is the original finish. This finish is a little darker and slightly wrinkled on the bottom. There are aged dings and scratches. The inside has two heavier dings and scratches. The edges are good. The lid measures 20-1/16" x 14-1/16" on the bottom. The hinges are 9-5/8" apart. Beautiful round table measures 41" across. It opens and can be made bigger with leafs. I do not have the leafs. But you can easily have them made or purchase them. I have had as many as 8 people dine at this table, but i believe without a leaf it is ideal for 6. In good overall condition considering its age. In the center where the table comes apart there is a small gap on one end like it does not close all the way and on the base there are a couple of areas where the top veneer is messing and the wood underneath can be seen. Just acquired out of a Private Midwest estate. We are able to offer this very nice, late 1890's to very early 1900's era ~ 54" SOLID QUARTER SAWN TIGER GOLDEN OAK ROUND CLAW FOOT TABLE ~. This is a very well made table, and is 100% all solid oak with no veneer like many you see. It is very sturdy and a nice larger size being 54 inches across and stands 30 inches tall. It does have some original factory numbers on the bottom, and I would imagine that it was made in the Grand Rapids Michigan area as most of the quality furniture is that we see in the Midwest. The over all condition is pretty good with some expected wear from age and use. The top has some wear to the finish in areas, but over all is pretty decent. I believe you could simply use some stain, or refinish it if you like. It actually looks pretty decent just the way ... moreit is. Tiger Oak Tilt Table Into Seat
This is a solid Tiger Oak Table that has original wooden peg attached to make it into a seat. Pictures show the only thing I could find wrong with this table and it applies to the seat itself. It is a beautiful table and I could have the age wrong. I don't know much about it, other then its a beautiful piece that you just don't find like this anymore. Measurements are 35 1/4" wide x 28 1/2" high. Seat itself measures 16 1/2" long x 19 1/2" wide. Pictures show the seat that is missing two strips of wood, one in front and one in back. Guessing also on the weight of this piece. Please excuse my lack of knowledge, I am posting for a friend that is cleaning out his barn. There is fluted, side trim on the top and beveled, recessed panels on the sides. It has 3"Japanned" brass handles and 3"Jappaned" brass label holders.1 old paper label still present! Original brass makers tag says SIEKERT& BAUM STATIONERY CO. MILWAUKEE WI. They were contemporaries and competitors of Globe Wernicke. I have added cardboard sides to drawers, so they are more useful now. This high quality piece is in wonderful condition. The cabinet measures 18 1/2 inches deep, 16 1/2 inches wide, and 14 inches tall(stand adds another 19 1/4 inches in height) Inside drawer measures 13 inches deep(with adjuster all the way back) 10 1/2 ... moreinches tall, and 4 1/4 inches wide. As stated earlier, if winner would also like the stand, I will ship for an additional $20. The stand is not in as good a condition as the cabinet. This is is so beautiful in the Empire style. The large column center post ends in four beautiful curled legs in a square base format. The top is SO nice! This is a 42" round but has two leaves to expand to 66" for dining. Although this was someone's fine dining table in the early 1900's. This also makes an elegant kitchen table, or game table! It is small enough for 2-4 people to sit around nicely but with the leaves you can add up to six people, maybe more. So versatile! Great for a lake cottage or NY city apartment. The finish is just wonderful. This is not a patch job. I see no damage to the table at all and the original sliding hardware ... morelocks tightly with a wood handled latch. The chairs were originally cained but someone has simply added a wood cut seat to each eliminating that whole broken cane issue. These are very sturdy and are marked Wiffmer MIlling& Mfg Co. PA. Signed by the woodworker. Chairs are gorgeous with lion faces on the backs of each! One thing to note is that the leaves are not original to the table. They are cut to size and refinished to match closely(slightly darker due to being from another table) but they are not exact. They match very well. They have dowels to lock into the circle shape. Lastly. The table has for nice wheels on the bottom that are removable but they allow your to roll the table wherever you want it. This table measures 42" round and extends to 66" with two leaves. It is 30" tall. The chairs are 39" tall x 20" wide x 19" deep. This is such an easy set to move around. The top come off and the base will fit through any door. You can transport this in an SUV.
