Large Vintage Round Cast Iron Register Grate Vent Steampunk Industrial 15 3/4"
This is a vintage large round cast iron outer register/vent grate. It originally has an insert in the middle that I do not have. It measures 15 3/4" across. The top band has a textured basket weave pattern and the inner band has pierced curved spokes. The black finish has and is flaking off and there is some surface rust in places that could easily be removed. I cannot find a makers mark on this piece. This great old piece has a lot of potential for any repurposing project you can think of. It is not from a pet/smoke free home. This is a beautiful round silver box with a slightly domed lid above straight sides and a flat base. The domed lid is has superb light blue guilloche enamel. The lid is hinged and the inside of the box is lightly gilded. The box is 2-1/2 inches/ 63 mm in diametre and it stands 1 inch/ 25 mm high. It weighs 65 grams. The inside rim of the base has clear hallmarks- lion passant. Anchor for Birmingham, letter O for 1938 and maker's mark D&F for Deakin& Francis. The box is in excellent condition with no dents. Black lacquer large round pin brooch signed O. Komaroba or Komapoba. Floral design painted in gold color. The design is very light against the black which may be due to some fading from wearing.
