Not very often do you find the original tray with these old Chatillon scales. The scale measures about 8 1/4" across and is dated Aug 11th 1914. In the center of the scale at the cross it reads: Capacity 20 lbs. Des Pat No. 46245 Aug 11th 1914 Approved Type Serial 33H Trade Mark New York City Between the numbers at the bottom of the scale and the#10 it reads: Mfgd. by John Chatillon& Sons New York USA Please use the eBay magnifier to see the details of this scale that are important to you. The scale shows wear as expected but cleaned up great and displays great. All we did was wash off the dirt. See the before and after photos we have posted. Could use a shot of oil but we are not sure how to calibrate the scale, so we will leave it to the experts. The backside of the scale shows some flaking to the black paint but no dents or cracks. UP FOR BID HERE IS A BEAUTIFUL LATE 50'S ROUND BADGE GRETSCH 5.5 X 14" 8 LUG MAPLE SHELL SNARE DRUM! This drum is in great shape. Blue sparkle wrap has no fade Chrome has some pitting. But is still in good condition. The muffler. Snare butt end and snare strainer have been upgraded. Only 3 small holes where added to the drum. The throw off is the ultra smooth Dunnett Some tension rods are aftermarket. Shell and rims are perfectly in round. Note the spot where the wrap has come up a bit. It is still very stable. This is very common for these snares. New heads and Pure Sound Custom 16 strand snares. Basically what your getting is a vintage grestch sound and vibe with the durability of a modern Gretsch Custom. This item is a Vintage Brown Bakelite Domart Sewing Box in Very Good Condition. It does have a crack- see picture#11 on the first tier- pictures#5& 6 shows top and bottom of that tier. No other chips or cracks on the box. The first tier sets into the box on top of the second tier and moves allowing you to access the bottom tier without removing the first- just slides over the second and the opening give access to the bottom row of openings- see picture#4(crack has no impact to the smooth movement of drawer/ tier. The box has overall normal age appropriate ware with some scrapes from use. Measures approx. 9.5" across x approx. 3" tall with lid on.
