Antique Beckwith Round Oak Stove Finial - Old Advertising - Wall Mount Brackets
An old"Beckwith Round Oak" Stove Finial. The style with the Beckwith Round Oak in raised lettering on a log- The finial is mounted on a base and has 2 cast brass wall mounting brackets. The base fits well to the top. The bands fit tightly around the cylinder base. The finial looks old. It has had some hand polishing in the past as there is still some polish residue under the base bands. We got it from a local Kansas City area estate. The total height is 16 1/2" Including the base. It weighs almost 3 pounds. We haven't seen one like this with a wall mount base before. We are guessing it could be an advertising wall mount store display. It is possible the base could have been made to fit the finial. We are not sure. For the last picture. I removed the bottom nut, and pulled the base apart from the top. It fits back together ... moretightly. Great to display in a country kitchen.

Offered is a Rare Vintage Late 1800's to Early 1900's Era Hand Crafted Splint Oak Bow Bottom Basket. It is quite a large basket measuring approx. 26 1/2" long(over two feet) by 15 3/4" wide. It is approx. 10" deep and stands 16 1/2" tall including the handle. There is some minor soiling and a few broken reeds here and there consistent with age. It is in otherwise good vintage condition. This estate basket is likely 100+ years old. The bottom edges of the basket are crafted with a slight"bow" or curvature to help in the even distribution of contents placed inside. This type basket would have had a multitude of uses in early Americana life from gathering vegetables out of the garden to carrying laundry to the wash tub then clothes line. The Horn/Trumpet has had a crack right at the thin part of the Horn where it comes out of the Angels Hand and has been glued. It’s a very nice gluing job. Hardly noticeable. Generally the frame is in very good condition. There is a rub to the upper left corner, an old small loss to the inner frame band at top glass edge and a more current smaller loss to same band at glass, lower edge, see last 3 photos for flaws. Reviewing the photos we see some faint wear to painted finish only on the raised edge of"scroll" design band. The charcoal baby portrait has a very small loss to top edge. Antique Oak EDISON Standard Model B Cylinder Phonograph with Horn Works Great We are pleased to offer for sale this nice estate antique Edison Tall Standard Model B Cylinder Phonograph with oak case and metal and brass horn. It works and plays great using two minute wax and celluloid cylinder records. The serial number is S330031 and the last patent date listed is Nov. 19. 1903 although the Model B was made from 1905 until 1908. The reproducer is Model C. The oak case with the cover on measures 13" W x 9" D x 11 1/8" H. The condition of this phonograph is very nice showing only minimal wear. The oak case has a darker finish with a nice sheen that I believe is original. There are a few minor light scratches. Nicks, scuffs, etc. to the oak finish and a couple of tiny white paint specks. There is some light wear to the Edison ... moreStandard Phonograph logo which can be seen in the photos. The metal and brass horn appears to be a reproduction and is in very good condition. It measures 13 1/2" long and 6 3/4" diameter across the brass bell. There are some slight creases in the brass. A few small scratches to the black paint and a very tiny dent. This is a very nice machine you will be proud to own as well as display and play. We are including two cylinder records in very nice condition that play well. One is a cute little duet called"Rain in the Face" and the other is called"My Own Wild Western Rose" Two storage cases are included although probably not original to the records. This is the transitional model prior to Victor's introduction of the more ornate fancier model. These are much harder to find. This one has all the original parts and comes with a brass bell horn. The horn elbow. Slotted crank, back bracket/tonearm are all original. It comes with the early round hole reproducer. The finish on the cabinet is original. The bell on the horn has been nicely rolled out and has the original decal and"patent applied for" stamp. The motor winds up and plays and the reproducer sounds good. The motor is dirty with old grease and needs cleaning for better performance. The speed control may require some adjustment. Some minor wood loss in the base molding. The Plexiglas can be removed by removing the top or bottom row of wood screws on the front. Each row of spoon holders slide out of the front of the display. The thimbles are displayed on wooden pegs along the base. This package includes all of the spoons and thimbles pictured. The spoons are made of silver plate. Pewter, and stainless steel. Antique Estate Unusual Large Stained/Leaded Glass Window~ Oak Frame This is an antique/vintage Stained/ Leaded glass window I found at an estate sale near Ann Arbor. MI several years ago. This is a large window-the outside measurement around the frame is 33” wide and 28 ½” tall. The frame is oak, 1” in thickness, with a section of hardware still attached on the side of the frame(see photo) the top of the frame has a large, heavy-duty eyelet screw in each corner for hanging. The colors on the glass pieces are still bright and vibrant; they include multi-tone gold. Dark rich red, cream/peach tones in the border at the edge of the design; the center design is a combination of greenish-blue and cream, all swirled together and the center round glass piece is a sunset-like orange color. The glass pieces around the center design are see-through, ... morebut tinted, and they have a beveled texture to them when the light hits them. The actual glass panel measures 24” x 28 ½” This window is in Excellent Condition; the only damage I could find was one small crack in the bottom dark red diamond piece-but the glass is not loose and the leading is solid(crack can’t be seen unless you are looking for it) The frame is also in Excellent Condition; at this moment. MINIATURE CHARLES 1 OAK PLANK CHEST. EARLY 17TH CENTURY.
CHARLES 1 SIX PLANK COFFER A fine example of English craftsmanship from the early 17th century. This oak plank chest stands at just 6" high x 5" wide x 3" deep. It has been constructed using the pegged and wedge technique. It features a simple incised carved and scratch design to the front and top panel. The lid opens easily with pin hinges- the common style used at that time. The planked sides are cut out in a'V' shape. The front and back panels are wedged into place. There is a small faint water stain on the lid. The underside has the makers initials possibly BR and the numeral 87 X1 This would have been an apprentice piece or traveling salesman example of workmanship. Thanks for looking. Here we have a nice small Vintage Carriage Maker's Oak Coffin Smoothing Plane. Unusual to see these little planes made in Oak. The craftsman did a great job! The oak has a great aged patina! sole measures 4" L x 1-3/4" W(at the mouth) Everything is in good working order. The plane has a nice thick cutter that is is 1-1/4" wide. The cutter is stamped W. Marples& Sons. Cast Steel with their logo. It appears to me that the craftsman made the cutter from an old chisel. The mouth is in good condition with very tiny'mouse nibbles" that should not affect planing. There are no cracks or breaks in the plane. It could be used without a water bottle for tea or coffee and a common plate used as a cover. The Water Bottle is NOT INCLUDED. The ceramic water dispenser is 10" tall and 9.75" in diameter. The oak stand is 27" tall with adjustable feet so it will sit flat. It is 18.5 x 18.5" at the base. All parts are in very good used condition. This is a ca.1918 PILLIOD quartered white oak Model No.35 eight drawer machinists`chest. It is 20"x 9.5"x 13.25"high and weighs 19 lbs. It has been refinished in dark golden oak per the original finish. The hardwear is brass. Also per the original. The leather handle has been replaced. The eight drawers have been relined with dark green felt. It has a key which does not work, but helps to open the front lid. There is#48 stamped on inside of the lid. It features an early mid century feel and motif. It is embellished with waterfall appearance and fluted side pillars. And a gingerbreaded glass framing, as was very common in the Deco Arts& Crafts era. Best Guess 1930's-1950. Could be earlier. The wood has a very deep honey oak patina. Drawers are dove-tailed. Perfect for the dining room for china or parlor for books and curios.
