HOOSIER Authentic Antique 1932 Tiger Oak Dining Table
Authentic Antique 1932'HOOSIER' Tiger Oak Dining Table* This is a genuine Hoosier Tiger Oak dining room table with turned legs. It was made by the Hoosier Kitchen Equipment Company of New Castle. Indiana. It has a hidden extension leaf in the center of the table that is connected to hinges on each side. When the sections are pulled apart, the hidden leaf is exposed. It is then raised and jointed together to each section. Underneath, there is a gear that turns on two tracks with teeth as the sections are moved back and forth with ease. There is a metal stamped plate underneath above the gear area. That patent plate shows that this unique design was created& engineered by the Hoosier Kitchen Equipment Company. The table measures 46" long without the extension leaf in place. With the extension leaf. It measures 63" long. ... moreIt is 30" high. The condition is VERY GOOD ++ and it has obviously been well cared for. Still looking beautiful. It does have some'warping' in the center of the table and with the extension pulled up and out. There is still slight warping noticeable but I this could be fixed if you know how? I have used this table for almost 18 years. They do not make tables like this anymore! It does have some nicks and scratches and so forth but they are superficial and I am certain they can also be fixed quickly if you have the'know how' The finish still looks very nice! This table is no doubt a rare and unique example of Hoosier furniture representing fine quality craftsmanship during the first part of the 20th century. Most people are familiar with the Hoosier Cabinets made in New Castle. Indiana. They were, and are known for their style and practicality.Scientific" design for improved sanitation, and the popularity of a separate dining room, meant storage and work space was at a premium. Offered is a wonderful solid oak Bible table. As is called by many. It can be used as a plant/parlor table or occasional table for old radio. Oil lamp, etc. or parlor items. It could be a one of a kind, no manufacturer marks. Not sure. The Greek Key en- graving is hand produced. The Spindled legs are unique and turned on a lathe. One leg has a flat side(see pics) denoting a possible shortage of material and using what wood was left. This table is heavy and well made. It would have to be refinished if desired. Has a water mark on the top(see pic) but not down to the grain, only in the varnish. It looks as if someone highlighted some of the finish with a varnish/stain mix. One very nice vintage industrial sewing table or bench or bakers table with two very large bins solid oak was being used as a sewing and pattern table at time when purchased by me. I think it would make a ausome kitchen island or table with two cool large bins for storage.or as a sewing table.the pics where taken in my garage the day i picked it up. it was being used in a school and they recieved it from a vintage coat factory when they went out of buissness in the 80's. This auction is for an older and neat Oak Barley Twist Sewing Caddy. Sewing Box, Work Box, Sewing Stand from England. It can also make a neat bedside cabinet as well as a Great Plant Stand. It's a nice well made cabinet or caddy. It has Jacobean accents on the front& both sides, it had one on the back that must still be in England. It has a seven compartment lift out tray that was used for"spool" storage. It's made out of Oak& Oak veneers. It's sturdy with a cross stretcher base connecting the legs. It has no rot or worm damage. My wife has had it the corner of our guest bedroom for around 10 years and said to put it up for sale. It's a neat item that would add interest& charm to any room in your home. It has a medium Dark Honey Oak Patina to it. Original Antique Tiger Oak Arts& Crafts Mission Oak Library Table Desk with one drawer and shelves on sides. Very nice grain pattern and color. Good used condition. I will describe condition as best as possible and have taken many pictures which show every side of item. PLEASE NOTE- white spots on desk in photos are fresh snowflakes that just started to fall. Desk is stored indoors but photos were taken while moving the desk. Measurements: Approx. 29-1/4" in height. 44" wide at widest part Table Top measures 27-3/4" x 43-7/8" 22" from floor to bottom of drawer legs are 6" wide outside edge of leg to outside edge of other leg approx. 36" shelves on sides have opening approx. 11" high x 24-1/4" wide from floor to bottom of cross pieces between legs is approx. 5-7/8" Handle pulls are original ... moreto desk and could easily be changed as one has a screw through front of knob while other is entirely wood front. Antique tiger oak dining table with bear claw foot legs and carved pedestal base. Circa 1880s. Table measures approximately 52" in diameter. Set includes the table and four(4) chairs with spindle backs and cane bottoms. The pedestal base has intricate carvings and relief as typical of furniture from this period. The table top and base is in very good condition with no major damages or deep scratches.As with all antiques, the table and chairs reflect the usual wear and tear and imperfections. The table pedestal base has a crank that allows it to separate for expansion, and this sometimes doesn't form a tight connection when in its closed position without some hand adjustment. I believe this is Oak wood but could also be walnut. Very heavy sturdy solid wood. I purchased this from and Estat e sale for $150 several years ago. This is a very very unique piece This desk folds down into a table and back up into a desk with a drawer and pull out writing area.This desk must have been upper class during the era due to the detail in wood work and hinges. Wooden legs have a nice spindle look. Base writing area pulls ou t for more writing and ha s finger grooves to pull out base. There is a center drawer built in and there are two cubby areas to each side of the drawer. There i s a crack on the back leg of the piece but ... moreis not noticeable when placed against a wall. It can be easily repaired with wood filler. I can repair with filler for an a dditional $10 if you require. There is a numbered mark under the desk#3551. Which may be a m anufactu re number. The number look like military style. So I am assuming this could be a milit ary desk for a high ranked officer possibly. I purchased this from a wealthy estate owner. I dont have much more history to offer on this. But is a very unique item. I dont see any other pieces like this offered on ebay. To ship this item I can remove the legs f rom the base as they are removeable. The desk weighs approximately 60lbs. Antique Mission Oak Library Desk I can find no markings on this except a#17 in pencil in the drawer slide and a# 17 in pencil in the drawer. I assume they did this so they would know which drawer went with which desk, and does not allude to who made the desk. I got this from my wife's uncles estate. He was 96 when he passed and he got this desk from his parents estate in Spokane Wa. when they passed. It is made from solid oak and on the ends of the top board you can see that the top is tongue and grooved. Very hard to show in the pictures. I don't know tiger oak from quarter sawn oak so you be the judge. There is some what appears to be grey paint on one corner of the top. please see pictures. Someone drove 2 finish nails about 2' long into the top of one of the legs. One leg has a chip out of it at the bottom about the size of ... morea quarter and another leg has a little grey paint at the bottom of one side. See pictures. I have made no attempt to repair. Clean or restore the finish on this desk, it is in the condition it was given me in. All in all this desk is in great vintage condition given its age. Offered today is this very rare Hoosier Breakfast Set. Oak drop-leaf table and four matching chairs. This table and chair set is from the late 1920's to early 1930's. I found an ad that was dated 1931 in the book"Hoosier Cabinets" By Philip Kennedy that is very similar. This is a genuine Hoosier brand. See picture with label on bottom of chair. The dimensions of the table are: 23" x 37" with the leaves down. And 42" x 37" with the leaves extended. The chairs are complete with no missing rungs or stretchers. However. They have been repaired by an amateur and need to be properly glued. Two of the chairs have metal plates on the underside. This is a classic piece of American history. I would love to keep it. The table has a round top and the top is ¼ sawed wood in a starburst pattern. The varnish looks a little thin and the wood is bubbled in one spot on the table top. The pedestal has been ring turned for added character and there are 4 large feet coming out from the bottom of the pedestal. The feet are smooth with claws carved into the edge of them. The apron of the table has a ... morevery nice pressed wood design in a scroll pattern. The 4 chairs are pressed back design as well. They have a leaf. Acorn and scroll pattern on them. The stiles are spindles style with ribbing on them as well as being ring turned. There are 8 spindles on the back rest of each chair. The chair legs and stretchers match the stiles. One chair has a nick on the edge of the seat, all the other chairs appear to be in excellent condition. The whole set is solid and sturdy with lots of use left in them. This set is in great condition however it is not new and may not be perfect. I do not know the maker or exact date this set was made. Table measurements are 30 ½ inches tall, 48 ½ inches side to side and 48 ½ inches front to back. It weighs 80 pounds. The chairs measure 42 3/8 inches tall, 19 ½ inches side to side and 24 1/8 inches front to back. Each chair weighs 19 pounds. We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested. Up for auction is this gorgeous vintage dining table and chairs. It is made of silky oak and would date back to the 1930's or so. It is a piece by well known Queensland maker Bell Bros. The piece bears all the hallmarks of them with beautiful details and carvings. It comes from a deceased estate. I have also listed the matching sideboard to this piece in a separate auction. The 6 seater table has a glass top included. There are 5 normal chairs and one carver. The chairs look like they have been reupholstered sometime recently and have virtually no wear. Tiger Wood Oak Plant Stand / End Table
Look how BEAUTIFUL this stand is! This a very well built plant stand made of Tiger Wood Oak and Brass Flowers going down the legs and around the lower stand base. This has really nice hand carved designs on the legs as well as solid brass flowers. There is a slight ring on botton shelf as seen in photo#4. But its hardly noticable. The top table has a nice cut edge design, and would look great in most any room! Really good condition for age. The top table measures 22.5" across. The bottom table measures 16.5" and on the curved parts of the legs measures 22" from outside curve to outside curve. The oak grain is beautiful and the only flaws are: on the bottom of one of the round feet. Someone cut off a section of the very bottom so that it would fit closely next to something.however, it still is level because they cut off only a section, not the entire tip(please see the last pic) The other flaw is that there is a hair line split on the top where the wood has a miniscule separation. I had to inspect closely to find this. This table requires no restoration whatsoever. Has beautiful detail in the grain. Antique Dietzgen Drafting Table University of Illinois Cast Iron Oak Original
Very Large and all original antique Dietzen(king of drafting tables) drafting or architect table- cast iron still has original paint from the early 1900's. this has a very old university of illinois inventory stencil on it with a 4 digit serial number. the solid oak wood on the base is in amazing shape with no cracks or bad spots. the original top with all original hardware is birds eye maple with a few ink spots but no bad spots that need refinishing. I have not tried to clean this at all. a refinisher told me simple rubbing alcohol will take the ink off, i got this for my kid but it is way to large for his room with the top measuring 3 by 5 foot. it stands 42 inches tall and can be adjusted down with the turn of a wheel to 33 inches. it can also swivel to an almost vertical position for painting or art projects or storing somewhere ... morewhen not in use. i will definitely allow local pick up but i will ship, it will be the buyers responsibility to set up shipping. it is quite large and im sure usps or ups will not take it-i saw where greyhound bus lines does shipping but you have to pick it up at one of their terminals for a couple hundred bucks or uship is a great service and could probably be arranged for a couple hundred dollars. im very easy to work with and will make this as effortless as possible for the buyer. if shipped i will wrap with bubble wrap and blankets for the shipment. i can also deliver within a reasonable distance for a fee of dollar a mile. very cool steampunk antique item that will hold its value and most likely increase over time. you will likely not find one of these especially in this great shape that has not been refinished. being all original and this great i think the value of this with being from the university of illinois and from the early 1900's i think the value of this is triple the starting amount.good luck bidding and ask any questions. thank you.

This is a gorgeous curlicue oak-top Victorian-age lamp table that dates from the 1880s or‘90s. It has an oak top with an oak bottom shelf. ... moreAnd all the original curlicues all the way around with the stick and ball accented legs. We brought it in with a split on the oak top. We repaired the top, re-sprayed it and stained it and re-sprayed the wicker to brighten up the beautiful finish, and it even has original metal ball and claw glass ball feet. It appears to have all its curlicues and little balls intact, but I can’t guarantee it because there’s so much to look at it. The table came out of a local estate, where it’s been for 40-something years that I know of. The overall size is 24 inches square on top, 30 inches high, and the bottom shelf is 16 inches high. 48 inch Round Oak Table with Pedestal Base -LOCAL PICKUP
Beautiful old round table shows it has been loved and well maintained- Only a couple places have been fixed through the years. 48 inches across Base is 26 inches tall and 26 inches across The latch on the top needs a new piece. The long piece is there but the loop to lock into is missing. Some repair is needed to the sliding pieces. The top is not currently attached to the base. So it will be easy to move. This item is local pickup only. I am 50 miles east of Downtown Denver.

Made around 1910. Made of oak, with straight legs, the top and lower shelf are richly carved in a traditional English fashion. It is in excellent decorative condition. Having just been cleaned and waxed and it displays beautifully. There is an old label underneath which says“Franklin Homan, Rochester” Franklin Homan was a well-known furniture makers from around 1850-1910(Charles Dickens. A resident of Rochester, bought his furniture there, and Mr Homan himself valued his house’s contents after Dicken’s death) See here for more info on the company: Size It measures 53cms(21” wide. 43cm(17” broad and 69cm(27” in height.
