Signed, dated, stamped or otherwise labeled. There is a small dark stain to the table top that measures approx 4inches by 2 inches. A darker spot next to that as well but not sure what that spot is. Both can be seen in the last picture. There are no major chips. Cracks or other issues to any part of the wood. It is possible this is a Louis F Nonnast table made between 1878-1888. I do not know much about this size. Style or age. If you have any information that may be helpful to identifying this piece. I would very much appreciate dropping me a line or two. I really want to keep it but I just don't have a spot for it and this table deserves to be put in a loving space. I purchased it today actually. I bought it from a sweet older couple from New York who now live in Palm Harbor, FL. The husband explained that it was his Grandmother's first then his mother had it. He said his Grandmother got it around the time she was married and he couldn't remember if it was 1897 or 1898. The condition is superior. It has been well cared for for 115 years by the same family. The oak grain is beautiful and the only flaws are: on the bottom of one of the round feet. Someone cut off a section of the very bottom so that it would fit closely next to something.however, it still is level because they cut off only a section, not the entire tip(please see the last pic) The other flaw is that there is a hair line split on the top where the wood has a miniscule separation. I had to inspect closely to find this. This table requires no restoration whatsoever. Has beautiful detail in the grain. Measurements are as follows: Oval Top is 32.75" long x 18" wide 27" tall from floor to top middle decorative shelf is 7.25" wide x 16" long with scrolling lower 2 round shelves are 10.5" in diameter. It has nails in it, so it is not old antique, but probably from the 1930s, 40s, or 50s. not an expert) A little nick out of the second shelf and a couple of water glass rings on the top is the only damage. Older Medium Size Three (3) Drawer Oak Chest Dressing Table From England
This auction is for an older three(3) drawer chest from England. It's a neat older chest on overall pretty good condition for it's age& travels. The top had a pretty dark oak backsplash with carved trim accents. Looking at the construction method of the drawers. They all have the very wide"dovetailed joints" and you can still see the lines where the maker had measured for cutting the depths of the joints. Most of this type of construction was stopped being used from 1915 to 1920, so I would palce the age before 1920. It has recessed panel sides and the top is made in a different manner than most. It has a 3/8" piece of the older thicker oak veneer over a 1/2" thick piece of secondary wood. I have seen solid oak tops and I have seen many oak veneer tops, but this a first for me. It would make a great addition ... moreto any bedroom or guest room. It would make a decent TV stand for the new Flat Panel TV's. It has a medium dark Oak Patina to it with a hint of red oak. The top is 35 5/8" X 17 1/4" and 30" tall to the shest top and 32 3/4" tall overall. The body of the chest is 33 1/2" X 15 3/4" and stands about 9 1/2" off the floor. All of the drawers are 30 3/4" X 12" They vary in depth starting at the top and going down they are 4 1/2" 4 3/4" and 5 3/8" deep. It's overall condition is good for it's age& travels. It has blemishes to the finish on the top and side panels. Drawer fronts(light/dark spots) some scratches and dings as most of the items we see coming over from England these days. There is no rot to any of the wood and there is no worm damage. With reasonable care, it will last another 100 or more years. Please remember, this is an 80 to 100 years old piece and not a reproduction, it has normal wear for it's age and Looks Wonderful Just The Way It Is.The backsplash will be removed when shipped and the buyer will have to re-attach it when it arrives. Antique oak Possum belly table in GREAT condition. Kitchen Island?
This is a great possum belly table made out of oak from around the turn of the last century. It's in really great condition for that age. There is a slight crack in one of the drawers but not really noticeable and doesn't affect the functionality of the piece. It also has a built in cutting board. My parents have used this piece in their kitchen as a kitchen island before and it looks really neat. I don't have the measurements off hand. But I can get them if needed. Up for bid is this beautiful vintage 1950's solid oak wagon wheel table that I found at an estate sale in south Texas. This rustic western style of old furniture is very hard to find! This decorative piece has been well taken care of over the years& is in very good vintage condition. Each half wheel has it's original oak spokes& are the same color stain as the rest of the table. There is one scratch on the top. See photo 5. A couple of other minor scuff markings that are hard to see but I did want to mention. The table top is very securely attached to the half wagon wheels& cannot be removed. There is also a solid oak wood brace going across from one half wheel to the other. The pattern is Bryce Brothers"Willow Oak" aka"Wreath" Circa 1880 with possible continued production after the 1891 US Glass merger. The pattern has not been reproduced. The table set is in fantastic condition! No item has significant wear flaws. Chips/cracks/repairs/etc. except for the spooner, described below. All items are a rich golden amber, clean and very shiny, with a perfect pattern impression. Some items have a few small insignificant wear flaws. Please look at the photos which are part of the desc/cond. For all 4 items, both sides are shown. The spooner has 2 tiny chips on the base rim's side. One is on ... morea mold seam. Probably due to manufacturing. The other is approx 2" from the first, probably wear. Neither are easily seen from above. The spooner also has a very tiny chip on the top rim which can't be seen with normal viewing. Some manufacturing artifacts are present. Primarily the butter dish top base rim, base inner rim have mold roughness with associated tiny nicks/chips/tool marks, none visible when the top is on the base. The table includes a useful drawer that looks to be original. Although it may have had a new handle added at some point in its life. Table is structurally sound for its age but has two areas of damage to the top(see pictures) and could do with a little wax here and there- i have tried to show these rather than cover them up so you know what you are getting. But they could be remedied by a decent French polisher, covered or just ignored and taken as part of the history of the piece. Typically for a piece of this age there is some evidence of woodworm but looks very old. This makes a great kitchen or occasional table. Fits neatly in an alcove or at the end of a sofa, and of course ... morethe flaps give full flexibility. Dimensions are(fully extended) 42.5 inch/108 cm x 33.75 inch/86 cm top x 27.5 inch/ 70 cm high. Fully closed it is 14 inches deep. Antique dining table. Red oak. Table doesn't have leafs but it can take them if some are made for it. When we got it it was painted bright blue with another layer of white buttermilk paint underneath which preserved the wood. It was made by Watertown Table Elite Co. Made sometime between 6-13-1899 to 10-1-1912. Made in Watertown Wisconsin. We had it stripped and restrained. We had a glass top made for it to make it level as one leaf sags just a hair. It sat in the corner of my grandparents summer cottage for all 70 years that they owned the cottage. It originally held a lamp that was an apothecary jar filled with marbles. I only mention that. Because my brother through a"Dick and Jane" book at me, and it broke the lamp, and the marbles went everywhere. Our butts were sore for the entire evening after that. When my family sold the cottage. I just had to have the table. I took it home, placed it in a corner with a huge fern on it until, I moved out of that house in 1988. When I was moving the table is the first time I ever noticed that one& half of the six legs were broken off. I was telling my mom about it, and she laughed and told me ... morethat I must be blind because the legs were gone since before I was born in 1947. She told me that was the reason it was in the corner for all those years. I can't believe I missed it. It never wobbled for me. And, as you can see, it stands straight when you have things placed on it. The top needs refinishing for sure. It has 12 sides to it. And a beading ball rim. The oak body has rounded off ridges running the length of the table. There are cut out diamond shapes around the table. If you can live with the unusual leg problem. And love things in a shabby condition, you could really love this true ARTS& CRAFTS little table. It can be used in many styles of home decor. I really want to keep it but I just don't have a spot for it and this table deserves to be put in a loving space. I bought it from a sweet older couple from New York who now live in Palm Harbor, FL. The husband explained that it was his Grandmother's first then his mother had it. He said his Grandmother got it around the time she was married and he couldn't remember if ... moreit was 1897 or 1898. The condition is superior. It has been well cared for for 115 years by the same family. The oak grain is beautiful and the only flaws are: on the bottom of one of the round feet. Someone cut off a section of the very bottom so that it would fit closely next to something.however, it still is level because they cut off only a section, not the entire tip(please see the last pic) The other flaw is that there is a hair line split on the top where the wood has a miniscule separation. I had to inspect closely to find this. This table requires no restoration whatsoever except for light surface scratches on the top. n oth ing a little bit of old english won't cure. Has beautiful tiger oak detail in the grain. Measurements are as follows: Oval Top is 32.75" long x 18" wide 27" tall from floor to top middle decorative shelf is 7.25" wide x 16" long with scrolling lower 2 round shelves are 10.5" in diameter. Here is a very nice old solid Oak table with 5 chairs. I DO NOT have any extra leaves for this table. This is a pedastal oak table that measures 30 inchs tall x 48 inchs round table top, and the base is about 24 inchs. This table has the four original chairs that have been re-upholestered and an extra oak chair that has a the same material reversed so you can tell which chair is not a perfect match. You will get all 5 chairs and the table for this price. of the chairs are a brown satin, and the other 3 are a cream. This is a Navco table, as marked in the 6th and 11th photos. The extra chair is the one pictured in front of the window in the 3rd picture. This is a nice set and good price for these items, the is a little wear but they are in nice shape.
