It is a ... morebeautiful example of tiger sawn oak as display on the top and the base. This table is 8 feet long, 4 feet deep and approximately 31 inches high. It has two curved drawers on each side of the table. The drawers are 22.5 inches wide, 20 inches deep and approximately 3inches high. We took the top into the restoration shop to scuff it down and re-spray it to bring out the gorgeous grains used. There are still some minor nicks and dings that can barely be seen through the finish. The table has five pyramid shape pillars with a large shoe foot platform base that gives a lot of style and stability. It has a molded edge on the oval shape skirt.

INDUSTRIAL FURNITURE CIRCA 1903. HAMILTON MFG. CO. Two Rivers, Wisconsin. 47" L x 29" W x 38" High. WOULD MAKE A NICE KITCHEN ISLAND, OR TO DISPLAY ARTIFACTS. It's a Vermont Marble Stone used for levelling the type faces in a composing room prior to proof printing. It weighs approx. 420 lbs. with the Vermont Marble top. See photo#3 for more detail, or Google it in the Hamilton Mfg Co. 1903 Catalog, pp.137-139. It is made so it can be taken apart and packed flat for shipping on a pallet or crated, at buyer's cost. Available for local pickup as is, or we can arrange for it to be crated at the buyer's cost. We estimate the shipping weight to be 500 lbs. crated. The Vermont Marble Stone top is 26 x 44 x 2 inches thick, weighs 280 lbs. The oak strips around the stone in photo#2 are called the"coffin" and were missing, so we had new ones made from white oak. They are engraved HAMILTON MFG. CO. exactly as the original ones, front and back. The stone top has some chips around the edges but has no cracks. The flat top surface is slightly rough and scratched from use but could easily be refinished by any monument shop. The center drawer goes right through, and has the original HAMILTON cast iron pulls. The lower platform is made of oak planks, they are a little warped from age but quite usable. The legs are about 4" square and the frame was painted battleship gray but most of it had worn off. The frame is very solid, could be refinished easily to make a really handsome piece.

Antique Dietzgen Drafting Architect Table University of Illinois Cast Iron Oak
Very Large and all original antique Dietzen(king of drafting tables) drafting or architect table- cast iron still has original paint from the early 1900's. this has a very old university of illinois inventory stencil on it with a 4 digit serial number. the solid oak wood on the base is in amazing shape with no cracks or bad spots. the original top with all original hardware is birds eye maple with a few ink spots but no bad spots that need refinishing. I have not tried to clean this at all. a refinisher told me simple rubbing alcohol will take the ink off, i got this for my kid but it is way to large for his room with the top measuring 3 by 5 foot. it stands 42 inches tall and can be adjusted down with the turn of a wheel to 33 inches. it can also swivel to an almost vertical position for painting or art projects or storing somewhere ... morewhen not in use. i will definitely allow local pick up but i will ship, it will be the buyers responsibility to set up shipping. it is quite large and im sure usps or ups will not take it-i saw where greyhound bus lines does shipping but you have to pick it up at one of their terminals for a couple hundred bucks or uship is a great service and could probably be arranged for a couple hundred dollars. im very easy to work with and will make this as effortless as possible for the buyer. if shipped i will wrap with bubble wrap and blankets for the shipment. i can also deliver within a reasonable distance for a fee of dollar a mile. very cool steampunk antique item that will hold its value and most likely increase over time. you will likely not find one of these especially in this great shape that has not been refinished. being all original and this great i think the value of this with being from the university of illinois and from the early 1900's i think the value of this is triple the starting amount.good luck bidding and ask any questions. thank you. i will only be listing this once more before taking it to the auction-its taking up alot of room

VERY NICE VINTAGE OAK& BRASS TABLE GONG WITH OAK HANDLED STRIKER- EX PRESENTATION ITEM CIRCA 1950. This is a very nice vintage O ak& Brass Table Gong with Striker c irca 1950. This gong is in excellent condition and comprises of a n oak mounted brass bell suspended in an oak ring mounted from an oak platform. The platform stands on four square feet and also has the mounting for the striking hammer. Th e base of this item is approximately 6.5 inches square and stands approximately 10.5 inches high. The gong hammer is approximately 7.5 inches long and the gong itself hangs from an 8.25 inch diameter oak ring. The gong is meant to stand on a table or other dining related furniture as the feet have green baize on the bottom obviously to preve nt scratching. To the front of the base are two pieces of oak cut out to accept the hammer. Viewed ... morefrom the front t h e left hand hammer support appears to have been replaced at someti me as its cutout profile does not q uite match the hammer ha ndle but it is not really noticable and the gong hammer is contained well. This item was once a presentation item as the brass gong is lightly engraved and the support ring has a removable plaque. See photos. for sale is a wonderful quartersawn oak parlor table. it has as good of flake as you can find in quartersawn oak. every piece in the table has an abundant showing of the quartersawn grain. the table has been refinished as it was painted green. where in the hay did they come up with those idiotic colors? other than refinishing it is all original. no missing or damaged pieces that i see. it has great carvings on the legs where they attach to the top. it has a wonderful contoured skirt with a top that is slightly recessed which gives this table extra nice form and beauty. it is really a classy table at a bargain price. i need to get rid of some stuff as i can barely get thru the house anymore. anyway. 1800's Northwind Georgian 1/4 sawn Oak Writing Desk/Table
This beautiful table is the original from which there have been several copies made. The table is finished with Lunette carved edges and inset scrolling acanthus carved border on the top. The desk is finished on all four sides with magnificently carved apron and beautifully carved North Wind Faces on the corners. The front of the desk has a large drawer which is dovetailed front and back. The large drawer is divided into three large sections. The table is set on wonderfully carved legs. Which taper down to acanthus carved blocks ending on bun foot on casters. The stretchers are finished in the same manner. The size is 50" wide x 33"deep x 30" high. The most recent copy sold here on E-bay for 2,995.0, and it's size was only 45" wide x 28"deep x30"high. I believe this table was made between 1740- 1840.The legs ... moreand stretchers are two pieces of wood doweled. And glued together, and then carved and doweled together, they were not turned on a lathe. This table is a one of a kind piece. Antique Large Oak Table w/5 legs and 3 Leaves
C3097. this is a very lovely old table and will serve well it's owner for many more decades. it measuress about 42 1/2" x 42" without leaves and stands about 29 inches tall. it will take castors and that would give it a few inches more in height. But it does not have castors on the legs for this listing. it measures about 71 inches when the three solid oak leaves are in place. the leaves are about 9 1/2" wide. the table and leaves are solid oak; no veneer. i think it dates from about 1900 to the 1940's but not sure of that. it has turned legs and is heavy for it's size. thank you for looking and please visit all my furniture in my store. C. 1930s very good quality French provincial"harp" dining table with what appears to be a polished pine top surface supported by solid oak harp legs and wrought iron stretchers 84" long(7' x 38" wide table was purchased by its current owner at an auction in Portland. ME, c. 1985 where he worked for a number of years after leaving his hometown. Boston, MA. in 1990 he brought the table(and chairs seen in last image) with him to CA and settled in the hills of Malibu. C. 1995; sensing that after 17 years.
