Description of item for sale: This lovely coffee table was made from a larger antique table that was disassembled and completely rebuilt with a smaller top and shorter legs. The original table was French. In the Renaissance revival style of Henri II and it dated to the mid/late 1800's. The fit and finish are superior and the table is very solid and sturdy. It is 100% solid oak. We especially like the character of the wood grain and the edge carvings of the top as well as the undercarriage of this table. Dimensions: 41" long, 33" wide and 20" high. Note: we will ship this table partially disassembled with the legs removed to save on shipping costs. Reassembly is simple. This is a beautiful Victorian Tiger Oak Quartersawn Solid and Veneer 54" Round table that opens to accept a leaf. We were very attracted to its classic octagonal column resting on a simple curving pedestal base rather than the kind of creepy animal claw bases we saw when we were looking for an antique oak dining table 30 years ago. We lost the leaf having moved twice since we purchased the table at the time we owned a Victorian home. But it would be easy to replace or replicate. The table is 30" tall with skirt 4 1/4" high. The table had a couple of repaired chips to the top when we bought it and over time it has another chip- please see the pics; t here are also some chips on the base- please see the pics. C1880 ANTIQUE VICTORIAN FRENCH OAK HUNT TABLE SOLID CARVED FRUIT ACANTHUS LEAVES
Here is a really cool French 19th century Breton solid oak table with a slightly oval top with gadrooned carved edge over an inset apron and mounted on a superbly carved scroll leg quadrupled base. The base has various fruits and lots of acanthus leaves and C scrolls of the period which may be as early as 1860. Width = 45" Length = 41" closed) Length = 83 1/2" open) there are no leaves. However, leaves could be easily made) Height = 28 1/2" When pulled open. There are four solid turned legs which drop down to support the table ends. When the table is closed, these legs are just tucked up underneath the table along with the slide mechanism. The locking mechanism which holds the two sides o the table together is marked"BREVETE" and there is a mark of what looks like 2 crossed keys and two initials possibly VF in ... morethe center of the crossed"keys" This table is in overall good condition. Stickley Mission Oak Table Hardware
We have a set of 5 L. J.G. Stickley table sliders from the bottom of a 5 legged table. They are in as found condition. From a local home. They were apparently removed and stored. The owner must have decided were no longer needed. If you have a Stickley table, these would be perfect for replacements, as they are going to be really tough to find. They measure 2 1/2 inches tall and about 2 1/8 across at bottom. We are delighted to offer to the market this stunning Monk's chair/metamorphic chair table. This piece dates to the early 1900's. We do not know the maker and any tage were long ago removed. Made from solid oak. This chair is a piece of art as well as a functional conversation piece. The back of the chair slides upward and flat across the arms to transform this piece into a functional table. The diameter across the top of the table is 36" It has a height of 29" The back side of the table which serves as the chair back has finely detailed carving representing a gothic lion head. The face has finely detailed teeth and whiskers. The inset eyes are made from glass and they glow when the light hits them just right. Quite a fascinating design. The ornate carved and scrolled arms have spindles flanking a heavy center pieces. The ... morefront of the chair has turned columns leading down to the seat frame box. Below the frame there is a section section boasting turned legs and straight mission style stretchers. The legs sit on the original brass casters. The arms have a height of 28" to the top of the scrolled area. The chair has a width of 22 7/16" from the outside edges of the arms and 18.5" from the inside edges of the arms. The depth at the center front to the back at the table is 23.75" The seat height is 15" to the wood edge and 20" to the top of the cushion. The cushion is not original to this piece and it is clear that someone did a poor recovery on it. There is some light soiling to the fabric and it is overhanging in some areas. The chair base has some very light surface scratches that are age and use appropriate. The table top also has some light scratches and divets from age and use. Overall the piece is in great condition and is absolutely stunning to look at. This is a previously owned item and it is being sold as shown. This is an antique heavy table that has been in the family for years. My dad refinished this beautiful round oak table years ago. The table is 29" tall and 23 1/2" round. The bottom shelf is 13" from the floor. The top of the table has a design etched in the wood. This would make a nice foyer. Side table or lamp table. Also great for the Christmas Holidays to hold your Nativity set. This is a very sturdy table. It seems as if a small piece of glue has come loose from the top of the table on one of the seams. Here is a marvelous antique dark oak table or dresser top cabinet with two shelves behind the lovely carved frame doors surrounding the old oval glass panes. The cabinet has holes in the bottom with screws to securely tighten down the cupboard to the surface on which it sits. This terrific early twentieth century cabinet was imported fromt he United Kingdom through Edinburgh. Scotland. It measures 30 1/2 inches long by 11 inches front to back by 19 inches tall. Inside the two shelves are 28 inches long by 7 3/4 inches front to bach and each have 8 3/4 inches clearance. As shown in my final four photographs. This is one of the many beautiful antique furnishings that were included with the purchase. Today I use this versatile piece in the kitchen for preparing and serving food. This double trestle table measures approximately 30 ½” x 72” x 28” H x W x D) The table top surface is made up from several long thick oak plank boards with beautiful figuring in the grain. There are wormholes and cracks in the oak surface reflecting the vintage age of this piece.
