Look at the massive. Hand carved talon feet on the table! The detail is second to none and I included a picture of the feet against my hands(I'm 6'3 with very large fists) The table has some nicks, scrapes, bumps, and missing veneer but is in overall excellent condition. The underside of the table has been secured with wood to ensure rigidity. You can convert the table back to being able to expand easily. No leaves are included and the additional rail and pedestal extension are not included. The chairs are not original to the table but go well with the table. All chairs have caned seating and 4 of the 6 are functional. 2 chairs will need the caning replaced. Notice that the chairs are in excellent shape and are all sturdy but do have some nicks and bumps with one of the chairs with the broken caning having damage on the backside as pictured. On the under side it is dated 6/3/1941 and says HARVEST. This was our table for several years and I striped it and refinished it clear several years ago. Also planed the edges of the boards and put new locating pins in so the boards would fit better. I r ecovered the chairs and put new foam padding in them some time ago. The covers show soil and could be recovered very easy to the colors you wish. The fabric is original to the set, no tears, and can be easily removed for gentle cleaning, or changed completely, but has been covered with heavy, clear vinyl sheeting. The finish has some minor wear, being near 50 yso. that can easily be touched up with wood stain, or completely refinished or updated with paint. There are repairs made to the leg joins of the chairs, as some of the old adhesive dried and loosened the runners. After all, it is about fifty years old. Offered is one antique 54" round tiger oak dining table with Griffin ball and claw feet and 6 tiger oak dining chairs with paw feet. This is a magnificent set that has been in our family for a while but we are now redecorating. The set has a very nice warm and inviting patina from decades of loving use. Look at the massive. Hand carved talon feet on the table! The detail is second to none and I included a picture of the feet against my hands(I'm 6'3 with very large fists) The table has some nicks, scrapes, bumps, and missing veneer but is in overall excellent condition. The underside of the table has been secured with wood to ensure rigidity. You can convert the table back to being able to expand easily. It stands on 5 reed grooved legs. Original caster wheels with 3 extra leaves. All heavy solid oak wood with excellent oak graining. 42" round with 3 10 3/4” leaves expands to an oval table measuring 74” log by 48" with the leaves inserted. stands about 29" high. The numbers printed on the bottom in white paint reading 687-421 was applied at the factory where this table was built. On the market today, the round version of the 5-legged table are more rare than the square ones made during the same time period.

sale a wonderful hastings split pedestal antique quartersawn oak 54 inch round dining table that opens to 10.5 feet. it has the tyden locking mechanism and a wonderful contoured skirt. it has very thick table glides and is solid quartersawn oak. No veneers. it opens and closes with the greatest ease. it has a center leg and a locking mechanism. you will not find better quartersawn oak i don't think in any table. the flake is very large. the pedestal is remarkable, huge claw feet and heavily carved knees that are high, deep, and thick. the table has one of the finest pedestal i have seen in this type table, it also has a carved collar above the legs the table is hastings quality or better. it is in near mint condition. i know of no carving missing or defects in the construction. it is very solid and does not wiggle,wobble,or move anywhere ... moreit is not suppose to move. i have 4-12 inch quartersawn oak leaves for it. when the leaves in place, the table is 8.5 feet. it could accept another 12 leaf, 2 would not work as you need a little space to get them together. 8.5 is big enough for most rooms, in fact too long for many dining rooms. there is a light dark place in finish on the top. the pictures make it look 10 times worse than it is. it is barely noticeable just looking at the table. it never bothered me, but it could be sanded out with ease. save this there is no other issues to report. it is absolutely a very fine table, heavy and thick, great carving and the best quartersawn oak in any table. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyer's expense. good luck.

The legs of the table as well as the legs of the buffet and all the front legs of the chairs are burly twist. The table measures 54" round without the leaf. With the leaf the table is an oval and measures 64" by 54" The China cabinet(dishes not included) measures 43 1/2" long x 14 1/2" wide and 61 1/2" tall. The china cabinet still has it's original glass with it's little bubbles in spots which makes it unique. There are no chips or cracks in the glass. The buffet measures 60 1/2" long x 23" wide and 38" tall. The buffet has ... moreteardrop pulls. I think the set is from the 1920's or 1930's. Crafted with solid oak. The table's actual measurements are 1&3/16th's" thick top, x 4' wide x 8'1" long with both leaf's& 6'1" without. There is actually room for 1 more leaf, which would have to be built to match if ever desired. Custom designed with"chopped" corners to minimize the likelihood of little ones banging their lil heads on the ... morecorners( A Fabulous feature for safety) Comes with 6 matching curved back chairs( very comfortable) None of which have arms, could actually accommodate 2 more comfortably and 4 more if needed. There is one very small burn to the table top. Which we looked into having repaired& were told that it would run between 125.00& 175.00 to remove. The burn is the size of a pea& did not penetrate into the wood itself. There is also one very tiny nick which also did not penetrate through the protective finish/ hardener& some minor scuffs to the table top.
