C1900, manufacturer unknown. Table with a 60 inch diameter top with carved frieze and standing on a heavy carved pillar pedestal with 4 large carved oak legs ending in ball& claw feet. Table has 9 original leaves, 2 with skirts that measure 12 inches wide and 7 plank leaves that measure 8 1/2 inches wide. Table when fully extended will measure 143 1/2 inches. Table does need some TLC work as the hinges for the drop down support legs are bent and legs are not solid standing when dropped. Some finish wear to top and pedestal due to age and use. Leaves fit really tight together with only two leaves with a slight warp. The set of 9 matching side chairs. Each having a heavily carved scroll and foliage center crest with opposite facing bird heads surrounded by an upholstered back and supported by turned columns. Fully upholstered seats with simple flat cabriole style legs with turned stretchers. Chairs have some minor repairs and expected wear and tear to finish and upholstery. The glass balls in the feet measure 3 inches across and the legs. At the widest point, about half way up, measures 3 1/4 inches across. This table is not marked. Signed, dated, stamped or otherwise labeled. There is a small dark stain to the table top that measures approx 4inches by 2 inches. A darker spot next to that as well but not sure what that spot is. Both can be seen in the last picture. There are no major chips. Cracks or other issues to any part of the wood. It is possible this is a Louis F Nonnast table made between 1878-1888. I do not know much about this size. Style or age. If you have any information that may be helpful to identifying this piece. I would very much appreciate dropping me a line or two. Local Pick Up is best for this large. Beautiful and well taken care of item. It worries me to ship it as I have seen very few table such as this. However. for sale a wonderful split pedestal antique quartersawn oak 54 inch round dining table that opens to 10.5 feet. it has very thick table glides and is solid quartersawn oak. No veneers. it opens and closes with the greatest ease. it has a center leg and a locking mechanism. you will not find better quartersawn oak i don't think in any table. the flake is very large. the pedestal is remarkable, huge claw feet and heavily carved knees that are high, deep, and thick. the table has one of the finest pedestal i have seen in this type table, it also has a carved collar above the legs the table is hastings quality or better. it is in near mint condition. i know of no carving missing or defects in the construction. it is very solid and does not wiggle,wobble,or move anywhere it is not suppose to move. i have 4-12 inch quartersawn oak leaves for ... moreit. when the leaves in place, the table is 8.5 feet. it could accept another 12 leaf, 2 would not work as you need a little space to get them together. 8.5 is big enough for most rooms, in fact too long for many dining rooms. there is a light dark place in finish on the top. the pictures make it look 10 times worse than it is. it is barely noticeable just looking at the table. it never bothered me, but it could be sanded out with ease. save this there is no other issues to report. it is absolutely a very fine table, heavy and thick, great carving and the best quartersawn oak in any table. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyer's expense. good luck.

This piece sat in my parents basement for 40 years(from 1969 to 2009) and for over 50 years before they bought the house according the previous owners. Some of the original ornamentation has fallen off but I managed to save 3 of the small pieces. The remainder of the table appears to be intact but in need of restoration. You'll see from the pictures that it has a few leaves that can be removed to make the table smaller. The legs have some great ornamentation that would look great one it is refinished and there is an addition support piece when the table is pulled out to its full length. I believe it is all solid quarter sawn oak(I know table top. Base, and leaves are solid wood) Dates to the early 1900 s(1900-1920) Circa 1910. This table is around 100 years old. Very large 54" round. Comes with 3 leaves(2 original oak and one old fir, each about 11" Ornate base with original caster wheels. Condition is excellent for age. The finish is old and possible original. Some of the screws have been replaced over the years. The 3 leaves each measure about 11" so the table could open to 87" by 54" That will hold a lot of people and food. When the table opens, to add the leaves, but the base stays centered. Description Nice antique oak dining table center post support leg. It looks to be in good overall condition for age. No major flaws that I see. I believe it still has the original finish, although a bit scratched up, really not too bad. It measures 25" tall(with metal caster) x 5" square and includes the mounting screw and nut. This beautiful old table is solid and extra-long. Based on its construction, I’m guessing that it’s around 100 years old. I have found no identifying marks. Overall Dimensions: 95 ¾” x 41 ½” x 30” L x W x H) Table Top: 93” x 39 ½” Distance from floor to bottom of the frame: 24 ½” Weight: 163 lbs. Each of the 4 massive legs is made up of 3 or 4 pieces that were glued together before being turned. The leg diameter about halfway up is 4 ¾” And the foot diameter is 5 ¼” There are a few scratches on the top. As you would expect to find on a table that was used for decades. The frame of the table has been repaired in a couple of places, and near one ... morecorner, glue is visible along the outside of the lower edge(see photo#6) There are a few vertical“stripes” around the perimeter, where dark stain ran down the sides. Paul Frankl dining table and six chairs. 1940s. Blond and painted black oak. Two arm chairs, four side chairs, and a large 20" leaf. Protective glass for the table top. 57 x 38" smaller than average size, extends to 77" with the leaf. It is in very good condition, cared for through the years. There are a few minor age marks, nothing of importance. The chairs are covered with black vinyl, probably not original. Paul Frankl was one of the most admired American furniture designers of the 20th century. Beginning in the 1920s with stunning art deco skyscraper-stepped furniture, and moving into streamlined mid-century modern. We would like to pass it on to its next caretaker. It is in Palm Springs, California, available for easy pick up. We have no experience with shipping, but are glad to accommodate your shipper.

The legs of these tables are joined with an“I” shaped stretcher for stability. The table we show here is a wonderful size and will seat at least six people very comfortably. It is solid oak and in the refectory style. The thick top is gorgeous and gives the table a solid look. The legs are trestle ... moreend pedestals which serve to make the table have a more rustic appearance. They are joined at the at the bottom by the“I” shaped stretcher so indicative of the refectory style. This support to the legs makes this antique refectory table very sturdy. Overall this table is in very good condition. There are a few small dings around the top that blend in and add character to the wood. This table is strong and sturdy and will stand up well to everyday use. It can be waxed with furniture paste wax intermittently to help keep the wood looking good. Originally the table was made in Holland sometime around the year 1920. This great looking antique refectory table would make a perfect kitchen or dining room table.
