1960s Marble Composite Side Table Mid Century Hollywood Regency Provincial
This is a wonderful little side table with a marble composite top and base. I am guessing marble composite because the pattern seems very even. It has carved. Gold-color wood separate the two making for a beautiful and elegant table. It measures 19" tall x approximately 15" diameter. This came from an estate full of 1960s Hollywood Regency furniture. Vintage Retro Antique Mid-Century Formica Dining Table w/ spring assist leaf
This is a 1950's era vintage table. Overall it's in good shape. There is a slight ding in one spot on the top, as pictured. The bottom of the legs also have some slight oxidation, as shown. The underside wood has a little bit of wear and tear, but nothing visible except from the underside of the table and in no way affecting the structural integrity of the table. It is a speckled sand and cream color. This was in my Grandma's house for years and has been stored indoors since. There are no chairs. There is no manufacturer's sticker, or other marks that I could find. Table measures 29" high, 35 3/4" deep, and 47 1/2" long without the leaf, 59 1/4" long when the 11 3/4" leaf is inserted. There is a spring loaded latch to automatically open the table, allowing for insertion of the additional leaf, which ... moreis in near-perfect condition. A solid teak side table by Tove& Edvard Kindt-Larsen for legendary manufacturer. France& Søn. Along with the Kindt-Larsen's, many of the premier Danish designers eventually designed pieces for France& Søn including Finn Juhl, Peter Hvidt, Ole Wanscher and Arne Vodder. This table is part of series of lounge tables that were constructed entirely from solid teak. The tabletop is constructed from laminated planks of teak with a very stylish curved lip that runs down each side. This curve is carried through to the support underneath that holds teak slats which forms the shelf. We love how the shelf slats follow the curve upwards to prevent magazines, books or other objects from falling off. The teak has a wonderful patina that is only developed form years of use. It stands approx 19" to the top rim of the ceramic main section,approx 32-1/2" circumference,and approx 30-1/2" to the top metal frame where the lamp shade sits and 33" to the top of the finial. The lamp comes with its original large burlap shade and wood ball finial. Its a big oval shade.Stands approx 13-1/2" tall, 19" long and 14-1/2" wide. This Marks Manufact ur ing(Chicago. IL) mid-century lamp is from the 1950s, I think. Mad e of metal. It has an industrial look to it. The only part that isn't meta l is the inner dome. W hich is plastic and suffered a me lt burn from a bulb with too much wattage for it to take. It also has 3 cracks at the bottom notches. I hope you can see it in the photos. The metal shade has what I would call normal wear from use and age with minimal dings-maybe 2 small ones. It bottom diameter is 14" The cord is working as you can see. And is original, but you may want to replace it. It is not split or frayed, just a bit old and dry. There is a label on the bottom. Danish Modern Coffee Table Kofod-Larsen for Selig This is a very nice example of a Danish Modern Teak coffee table in excellent original condition. It was produced by Kofod-Larsen for Selig in Denmark. The tray edge molding terminates 2 1/2" from each corner. The restored original finish is in excellent condition. And there is no structural damage or repairs evident. A couple light stains are visible upon very close inspection, but are not noticeable, and do not detract from the aesthetics. I will take daylight pics tomorrow to see if they can be seen in photos. The legs have machine-threaded posts and screw into machine-threaded receivers in the table bottom(pictured) so the legs can be removed for safe packing and shipping. The dimensions are: 32" square. Elegant Mid-Century Hollywood Regency Braided Rope Brass side TABLE w/ glass top
I inherited the contents of my parent's Brooklyn Heights estate a number of years ago. It represented over 90 years of eclectic collecting from my grandparents and aunt to my parents. I have been selling their jewelry. Decoratives and art collections for a few years and will continue to do so but now we are moving and downsizing. In the next few weeks I will be listing some fine Fantoni, Gambine, Capron and Ackerman pieces, mid-century Italian glass, lighting, victorian, art deco and mid-century decoratives and some exceptional pieces like an Osvaldo Borsoni dining room table, Saarinen chairs for Knoll, Milo Baughman, Danish teak bench, Parzinger and more. I have had the great pleasure of living with and enjoying these pieces over the years. My pictures don't do justice to this classically designed mid-century Hollywood Regency end ... moretable. The frame is a fantastic brass ribbed rope or scales that was designed to flow and coil around itself. The metal coils are very thick metal and extremely heavy. My husband and I bought this wonderful table at an estate sale from a moderne house around 25 years ago. I don't know the country of origin but it says Italy to me. The undulating 3/4" thick glass is cut to flatter the frame and is part of the design. The frame is in excellent condition but could probably use a good dusting. The glass. Though wonderful, has a small(1" chip on the underside of the glass in the corner. Please see photos. The side table is extremely heavy and is an example of finely crafted and designed mid-century design. Bottom line is that this table has great style and I believe to be a collector's piece. This sturdy and well-made table has two self-storing leaves and nicely proportioned solid teak sculpted legs with black laminate feet. The wood has beautiful grain and a wonderful dark color. Rare Antique Iron Bound Wooden Traveling Trunk - Mid 19th Century - Coffee Table
This is a rare 19th century wooden trunk in wonderful condition. This wooden trunk has a rich. Dark hue and is bound with iron straps. The rich patina and rivets attest to the age of the trunk. The hand forged handles on each end of the trunk are in perfect condition. The heavy iron hinges and latches are reminiscent of medieval iron pieces. The interior of the trunk is in very nice condition and features fine natural wood. This trunk is still in spectacular condition because it was built by skilled craftsmen. It remains a strong and sturdy piece and has no real damage of any kind. It measures 49 1/2" long x 28 1/2" wide x 20" high. I believe the original latches were altered at some point, but the trunk is all original and will be a fine piece for many years to come. Pair Mid Century Space Age Spiral Rembrandt Table Lamps Original Fabric Shades
Pair 1950's Mid Century Space Age Spiral Rembrandt Table Lamps. Made by Rembrandt Lamps of Chicago. Il. This pair of lamps has survived intact with their original glass reflectors and fabric covered shades and look great. The lamp bases are made of brass with brass plated socket cover fitters that hold the reflectors. The reflectors are waffle pattern molded glass with white painted interiors. The shades are frise' fabric covered pasteboard with brass plated rims and finials. The perforated diffusers are gold painted steel. The lamps are as made with the caveat that one of the socket cover fitters leans a little to the back. The finish on the lamps: largely bright with darkened spots on one ball, small dark area at the tops of two of the other balls, this darkening is caused by loss of the protective lacquer coating in those areas, ... moresee photos. The reflectors: chips to the painted interior at the top edge, no chips in the glass. The shades: Light dust soiling, one shade has creases/dents on its rims and body, this area can be turned to the side or back, see photo. The wiring's insulation is dry and cracked and wire is exposed, it must be replaced. Original three way sockets are in working order. The lamps are, without doubt, made by Rembrandt but I have been unable to find any marking on them. Saarinen Knoll Tulip Table Coffee Cocktail Mid Century Modern Vintage Eero Low
Authentic Eero Saarinen for Knoll Tulip Coffee/Cocktail table. 3ft in diameter, 15" tall. Purchased at a high end estate with the Safari chair I have listed and a Ed Wormely dining set for Dunbar and Le Corbusier LC1 Pony Hide Sling chair that I still have yet to list. This was bought overseas, and like most items from Europe, it is not signed: no label. But, it is Knoll; the weight and concrete like fill in, in the bottom, are signs of authenticity. It weighs over 36 Lbs. It has, as you can see, yellowing from the years, on the upper part of the stem, as well as yellowing underneath, along with slight cracking/crazing on the surface and fingerprints, shown in pics 7& 8. The base is 16 3/4" in diameter. This will ship freight or Greyhound Express. The cost for freight will probably be cheaper and safer than having it packed ... moreprofessionally and shipped GE. I have used shippers such as Plycon and TSC and 7 day shipment auction to get the best cost for my buyers. Feel free to ask me for an approximate shipping quote. I think this could get up the East Coast for $100 or so. Out west. Maybe slightly higher. I prefer freight because I have had UPS damage a couple of high end chairs lately and have found freight to be much more affordable and safer, if you can wait a little longer.
