Great Art Deco to Mid Century Modern style metal sugar creamer w/ tray This entire 3 piece set is Stainless steel made by the Dolphin company in Japan. It is very reminiscent of chrome Russel Wright stylized metal pieces. I believe that Russel Wright only designed metal wear for the Chase company. Each piece has the following engraved on the back: Dolphin. 18-8, Stainless Steel. Japan. And a logo that looks like the Japanese Flag. Really a stunning retro Mid Century Modern/ almost Art Deco like table set The serving tray measures approx 9 1/8ths by 5 3/8ths inches. The sugar and creamer are both approx 2 inches high and measure at the top approx 4 by 3 ½ inches. Condition: all very good and such great styling. No tarnish. No rust. No denting. Table and chairs both have heavy welded wrought iron bases and bases do not disassemble for shipping. 3 of the chairs have a vertical split in the vinyl on the front of the back. Chairs were designed by Alexander Begge and manufactured by Casalino. 3 are signed Casalino-1 isn't but has a date and manufacturing stamp. Table is unsigned but is the one that originally came with the set when bought. Chairs are all space age plastic like Kartell or Panton. Table is formica covered with enamelled steel legs. Table is quite heavy weighing in at 41 lbs before shipping and is exceptionally sturdy. The legs are held on by 6 screws-not the usual 3 or 4. Table is 29 3/4" by 29 3/4" by 20" tall. Chairs are 20 1/2" tall at the back. 12" tall at the seat, 15" wide. Nothing has any chips or cracks but both the table and chairs show scuffing and scratches. Colors are bright. There is no identification as to the maker but based on similar chair examples we have seen we believe it was made by Kalp-Sons. Santa Fe, Ca. The table has a harvest gold Formica top with rattan and cane edging and a rattan base. The rattan frame chairs have cane backs with cloth fabric seats having a butterflies print. The cushions have been reupholstered with a butterfly print cloth and the seats are all in very good condition. A few screws have been added randomly to the bases of the chairs for tightening and strengthening and they are structurally solid. The base of the table is structurally solid and in very good condition. The original Formica top shows minor wear and is in very good condition. A nice feature of the table is the ease of installing and removing the leaf with the patented mechanism making it so only one person can easily do the job in seconds. The set shows a little wear from its intended use but certainly is presentable and displays nicely. Overall condition is very good and it will give many more years of service. Original bronze finish has some light scuffing and a couple of tiny chips. Should clean up and only get nicer or restore. The aluminum shade would be great if polished. MID-CENTURY STEAMPUNK VTG. ADJUSTABLE DESK-DRAFTING-SEWING TENSOR TABLE LAMP 33"
Offered is a large. Very well-made, working desk/drafting lamp in good condition. The lamp has both a Mid-Century and Steampunk look about it, but I've been using it in my semi-Victorian living room and it fits in very nicely with that style too. The reason that I've said the lamp is in"good" condition vs. very good" condition is because the metal base and shade do have some rust. However, it really doesn't detract at all from the look of the lamp. If you prefer no signs of age, the rust can be removed easily with Marine Jelly or any number of inexpensive rust removers sold today. I left the lamp as is for the buyer to decide. Also, the rust is not nearly as pronounced as it appears in my images. This is a very handsome, strong, stable and versatile lamp! When fully extended to straight up and down. The lamp measures ... more33-inches tall. The base is 7-inches wide and the whole thing, unpacked, weighs about 6.5 lbs. Like I said, it's high quality! The base and shade are in a brushed silver or nickel finish. There is black felt on the underside of the base. The lamp's arms are wood in a red mahogany stain. They could very well be mahogany wood, but I am uncertain. Although the arm sections appear to be in two different shades of color in my photos, it is an illusion caused by the wood grain. The position of the lamp is adjusted by turning and setting the knobs. This lamp is fully adjustable and is perfect for reading. Sewing, drawing, doing crafts, working on projects, etc. It takes a standard 60 watt bulb. All electrical parts- the power cord, switch, socket and wiring- are in excellent condition. You will love this unique lamp! Because I do my best to describe and depict my items honestly and accurately. Great Vintage Brass Teak Mid Century Table Lamp Lightolier? Laurel? Thurston?
This is a super vintage teak oval base and brass accent lamp from the 50's or 60's. It is not signed. But the shade is very reminiscent of those done by Thurston for Lightolier. It is all original and is in working condition with a 3 way switch that operates the 3 bulbs- 1-2- or all 3 lit. Condition of the base is great with no issues and very little wear. There is a plastic diffuser under the bulbs that gives off great ambience. As I have pictured, the shade has a few issues. The top ring at one time has come apart and someone long ago used ingenuity by using some silk ribbon to hold the top to the ring. There are also a couple of marks on the shade and normal browning to the interior paper. I have tried to picture these issues so please look before bidding. Vintage F.A.I.P. Mid Century Art Pottery Eames Atomic Shade w Leaves Table Lamp
This vintage retro Modernistic lamp made by F.A.I.P. in Brooklynn NY is one of the most amazing art pottery lamps in this company's designs I've seen. Everything looks good. There are two tiny flea bite size chips to the paint and one approximately 1/4" chip on a swirl, that's all I can find, although it looks like some brown marks are covering over very small areas, not noticeable. Measures 25" tall from base to top of shade. Wiring is good. Works great, shade is in very good condition, as is hardware. Marked on back at bottom. see pic Also, the stitching at top and bottom of shade is perfect, nothing is torn out. Brass finial is tight too tight for me to get off, but then I was able to get the sides to pop out down inside at the base on each side to get the metal frame around the bulb out. this particular lamp is an ... moreartist's piece for sure. It is a mocha sort of brown base with what I would term decorations applied by"slip" before firing(I AM NOT AN EXPERT JUST MY OPINION) as pictures show, there are long, rolled thin pieces of clay attached to the sides of the base. Shade is fiberglass I'm guessing and has brown leaves that show when lit. Overall. Good vintage condition. Very heavy. Weighs about 5 LBs, lamp itself, without packing.
