Vtg 50's Paul Frankl Style Cocktail Tables Mid Century Modern Hollywood Regency
This is a spectacular and very unusual set of three matching tables circa 1950's. Included is a 57" long x 18" deep x 13.5" tall cocktail table and two 29" long x 16" wide x 19.5 tall end tables. They are not signed but look to be Paul Frankly inspired and are extremely well made with large square end nut attachments and brass accents with molded brass tone legs. The table surface is a pattern of alternating dark and light wood possibly walnut and elm then carved into shape. The top is elevated on a pedestal and finished with laminated spaghetti pattern finish. The condition is very good with minor wear to the top and haze build up of the finish on the end tables. No breaks or cracks in the tips or ends. There are a few small dings in the wood but no major dents and no chips in the Lucite. The leg ends have fairly ... moreheavy wear with some deterioration of the end caps and on the ends of the brass tone legs with loss of brass tone finish about half way up the legs. They are sturdy and strong in structure and have endured due to the quality of construction. Will be carefully packed for shipping.
