The details of construction are second to none. Check out the inset wood hand pulls on the bottom of the leaves. UNUSUAL ATOMIC EAMES ERA MID CENTURY MODERN METAL AND WOOD DINING TABLE BASE
Wow! This is incredibly cool. Picked this up at an estate sale. I'm selling only the base because I do not want to ship glass. You can pick it up in Polson Montana and I will include the glass. You could easily go to the glass shop and have the top made or even Plexiglas would work. It's in very good condition for its age. There are some areas on the metal that need to be refinished. But the wood is in incredible condition. The wood is a deep turquoise color. When I took a picture of the undersides they came out really light but the overall color is consistent and it is a real turquoise color. The base measures 35 inches in diameter and 29 1/2 inches high. The silver you see is all metal and the turquoise is all wood. I believe this to be original paint. This is an authentic beautiful Blonde wood table and 4 chairs with 3 leaves from an Esate. You don't see great legs and lines like this on the base of many tables. Also note the curved wavy shape at the end of the table top. Very versatile. Use this with 2 chairs with the sides dropped all the way down. For a kitchen, or desk area or for full dining. I believe the wood is cherry though haven't had it confirmed( yet) Table measures 62" x 40"without leaves. Each leaf is 8" for a possible length of 78" PLEASE NOTE: Photo shows table without leaves. Every chair covered in a nubby fabric over wood and has a fabric label as pictured with A furniture stamp from Ohio. The fabric is in excellent condition with no stains and no cleaning needed. 40" glass diameter- 3/4" thick glass top polished edge 27" tall. SALE ENDS DECEMBER Shipping is via blanket wrap only and covers those states near WV including NYC. Please ask if uncertain. The maker of this X-Base and glass top dining table is unknown. The black frame is solid welded. The chrome legs attach to the frame. Rubber stoppers on the top support the glass and black plastic feet are inserted in the legs at the base. Chair shown for display purposes. The glass is 3/4" thick and exceptionally heavy. At the time of purchase the dining chairs had with them Gio Ponti chrome chairs with them but we do not think they were a set. The condition is used with some scratches to glass surface. The style reminds me of directional and Pace as there are not too many companies that sell items with 3/4" thick glass.

But I have not been able to document this- it also looks quite similar to an early table by Hans Wegner, but I do not believe Wegner worked through Tanier. The table is in good to very good vintage condition with some expected wear/minor nicks/imperfections. It is very attractive and functional. It measures 45" in the center X 29 1/2" without the leaves. Leaves can easily be removed as they hang on brass hinges and slot into place when needed. The edge of the table is beveled at each corner with a 3" face around the entire table. Black twisted metal hairpin legs on each piece. The table measures 42" x 52.5" There is a hidden leaf measuring 17 3/4" that folds in half and stores inside the table. The table slides apart with the pull of a lever and the leaf unfolds and fits into place. The fabric on the 4 chairs is nubby Rhino Hyde Naugahyde vinyl in rich cream oatmeal. A great original Danish teak dining table. One leaf and four chairs with original fabric seats. The table is marked with the white label Rasmus Made in Denmark. Three of the four chairs have the Made in Denmark tag. The table measures approx. 59" by 34" and 28 1/2" high. The leaf is about 20" wide. The base is about 48" long and 33" wide and needs to be tightened. Wonderful patina. The chair seats are clean with no tears or stains.
