The marble is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The frames are very solid and in good condition. There are some scratches from normal vintage age appropriate wear. One corner leg of the coffee table has some damage that appears to have been the object of a puppy's attention at some time in the life of the table. I have included pictures. Vintage DANISH MID-CENTURY MODERN "FABIAN" TEAK COFFEE TABLE/BENCH
I inherited the contents of my parent's Brooklyn Heights estate a number of years ago. It represented over 90 years of eclectic collecting from my grandparents and aunt to my parents. I have been selling their jewelry. Decoratives and art collections for a few years and will continue to do so but now we are moving and downsizing. In the next few weeks I will be listing some fine Fantoni, Gambine, Capron and Ackerman pieces, mid-century Italian glass, lighting, victorian, art deco and mid-century decoratives and some exceptional pieces like an Osvaldo Borsoni dining room table, Saarinen chairs for Knoll, Milo Baughman and more. I have had the great pleasure of living with and enjoying these pieces over the years. I grew up with this teak bench or coffee table. It is stamped on the back"Fabian" Made in Denmark. It is in decent ... morevintage condition. The top is beautiful and unmarked but the legs show some wear and probably a good cleaning with teak oil will spruce up the table beautifully. However. On one corner there is a chip at the edge(see photo) and if you turn the table around there is a small crack on another edge. There are 3 cushions with zippers. The cushions are in excellent condition. I don't think they are leather but it is hard for me to tell. The legs could use tigthening for there is small movement when you sit or shake it. Bottom line is that this signed teak bench has great style(I prefer it as a coffee table) but needs some work. Measurements: 61 1/2" long x 19 1/2" wide x 15 1/2" high. Legs are walnut and thread onto mounted plates. Top is plywood with white formica/laminate. Beautiful simple form, top measures approx 36" its just under around 35 3/4" Minor scratches to white top which is to be expected from being vintage and use. The legs also have minor scratches and would benefit from a light cleaning/oiling. Very clean overall shows no signs of being in a smokers home. Legs will be taken off for easier shipping. Authentic Eero Saarinen for Knoll Tulip Coffee/Cocktail table. 3ft in diameter, 15" tall. Purchased at a high end estate with the Safari chair I have listed and a Ed Wormely dining set for Dunbar and Le Corbusier LC1 Pony Hide Sling chair that I still have yet to list. This was bought overseas, and like most items from Europe, it is not signed: no label. But, it is Knoll; the weight and concrete like fill in, in the bottom, are signs of authenticity. It weighs over 36 Lbs. It has, as you can see, yellowing from the years, on the upper part of the stem, as well as yellowing underneath, along with slight cracking/crazing on the surface and fingerprints, shown in pics 7& 8. The base is 16 3/4" in diameter. This will ship freight or Greyhound Express. The cost for freight will probably be cheaper and safer than having it packed ... moreprofessionally and shipped GE. Vtg Mid Century Modern 1950's Mahogany Coffee Low Side Table Base
This is a very nice circa 1950's mahogany coffee or low side table base only. It is being sold without the glass top. It measures 33" long. 17" wide and 15" high. It is in very good condition with some moderate edge wear. There is a gouge out of the wood along the cross member beneath the glass. This may be a custom piece made by a cabinet maker rather than manufactured, since it is not marked and I have never seen one like it.This is being sold without the glass, it is a regular glass panel and you can have your own cut. Vtg Mid Century Modern Wood Tapered Pencil Coffee Table Legs Mounting Brackets
I found th ese table legs at an estate sale(I removed them f rom a table I purchased that was from the 1950s) They had a couple layers of paint on them(not original) s o I stripped them to the wood(they could use a little more sanding before staining) The metal end caps were al so painted so I sanded them down. T he tip ends still s how a little rust. Two of these sl ip off easily and the other two will come off with a tug. I didn't want to glue or tack these on so that the new owner can slip them off to stain the legs and repaint the tips too. The top ends have the mounting screws( a litt le rust. But very st urdy) and the mo unting brackets are also included. The brackets had some paint and rust which I attemp ted to sand off some to show they are still solid and sturdy. There is still quite a bit of rust on the back. But that will ... morebe underneath and wont show. These are the brackets that will give an outward tilt to the legs. Not just straight up and down mount. These are definately vintage legs, not reproductions, and are solid wood! There are a few dents and still a little paint do wn in the grain in some are as. Not perfect. But good solid legs! these measure about 13.25" end to end not including the mounting screw. The bracket will add another 3/8-1/2" the y are about 1 3/8" wide at the top and taper to about 5/8" these will cost me at least $10-12 to ship. I a m offering f ree shipping. But just so you know. It looks to be a cross-over piece within the different"lines" of furniture being made in the fifties. I say that because the center lazy Susan is made of Burled Fruitwood, which comes from the"Wellington Group" of furniture, yet the legs are from a different line. The sun-burst main portion is a beautiful walnut veneer. The legs are solid walnut. Size: 42" across. 17.25" high(outer edge) The Lazy Susan is 26" diameter. Condition: The table is in very nice condition and I believe the main top section(the walnut part) has been refinished. The burled center is in almost perfect condition and the legs have the age appropriate nicks. I have pictured the two issues in the walnut.
