I bought it from the original owner ... moreand she said it was bought as a set with six Niels Koefoed Eva teak and rosewood chairs(seen in pics# 11-12) Very similar tables were manufactured by Skovby as well. The chairs will be sold in another of my listings and I will be happy to sell them as a set. This table has one of the easiest to extend mechanisms I've seen. One person can unlatch the table and easily separate the top, exposing the leaf that is stored underneath. With an easy lift, the butterfly leaf opens and falls into place adding another 20" to the table. On the leaf are two ares that are lighter in color than the rest of the table(as seen in pics 7 and 10) The table has age appropriate wear(as seen in pics#9-10) A couple unique things about this table are the rosewood circles around the table as seen in pic#9 and the double spanner between the trestle legs. It is age and use appropriate wear, no substantial or notable damage. The black lacquer has some wear most notably to the edges, as well as some scuffs and scratches. I have tried to up the contrast on a photo of the top so you may see that there are minor blemishes to this original finish. This was bought overseas, and like most items from Europe, it is not signed: no label. But, it is Knoll; the weight and concrete like fill in, in the bottom, are signs of authenticity. It weighs over 36 Lbs. It has, as you can see, yellowing from the years, on the upper part of the stem, as well as yellowing underneath, along with slight cracking/crazing on the surface and fingerprints, shown in pics 7& 8. The base is 16 3/4" in diameter. This will ship freight or Greyhound Express. The cost for freight will probably be cheaper and safer than having it packed professionally and shipped GE. I have used shippers such as Plycon and TSC and 7 day shipment auction to get the best cost for my buyers. Feel free to ask me for an approximate shipping quote. I think this could get up the East Coast for $100 or so. Out west. Maybe slightly higher. I prefer freight because I have had UPS damage a couple of high end chairs lately and have found freight to be much more affordable and safer, if you can wait a little longer. When a proper shipping quote is agreed upon I will request that amount through Pay Pal and once that is paid I will set up and pay for the shipping. Vladimir Kagan Biomorphic Wood Tripod Dining Entry Table Travertine Mid Century
This auction is for an amazing walnut and travertine table by Vladimir Kagan. This table is spectacular. It has the quintessential Kagan base with a brass inlaid piece of travertine. The inlay is both in the middle and goes in a ring inset from the edge. The table is unmarked but we are pretty sure it was made by him. We have his book"The complete Kagan" and have included a picture of what we believe is the same table. Which coincidentally is the table he used in his batchelor pad, and one of another base so you can see the construction is the same. We believe the top would have been a custom addition. Even if this table was not made by him it is absolutely spectacular. The table has a piece of felted particle board between the top of the base and the marble. I believe in the picture of the table in the book you can see the shadow ... moreof the same. The top has a few little nips around the edge, there is a small pink spot but I believe you could polish that out and one of the legs has an oil stain at the base but all in all the table is in fantastic vintage condition. The finish on the top does have some wear with light scratches and some other white marks. The frame of the table is solid and has no loose joints. The re are a few white paint rubs in various places that will come off with some cleaning. There is some colored paint or finger nail polish in a couple of places. The legs appear to have been mopped around the one pictured is the darkest of all four. The table measures approximately 35.5" x 55" and 28" tall. The leaves are each 20" to make the top 95" long. The manufacturer is Foster Mc David. There is a stamp on the table and one of the arm chairs has a paper with the manufacturer's details. The whole set has a beautiful reddish wood tone. The dining table has 2 extensions to make it longer. The table measures 59.84 inches x 42.12 inches(without 2 extensions) It extends to 83.46 inches with the extensions. This set has 4 chairs: two arm chairs and 2 armless chairs. Seats are off white vinyl. Please note: The wicker on one of the arm chairs is torn on its back and the wicker on the back of the other arm chair is in a fragile stage(almost torn) We were told it is easily fixable.

John Widdecomb's purchased the Widdicomb Co. in 1974 and this set is from that era. Beautiful in it's simplicity, it would work perfectly in any home for it would compliment all styles of design. The table is round. W/o extensions it measures 48 inches in diameter and its height is 29 1/4 inches. Each of the 3 extensions measures 48 inches long and 16 inches wide making the table 96 inches in length when all extensions are used. Chairs are 32 inches high. Floor to seat is 19 inches. Seat depth 16 1/2 inches. Width 18 inches. The table top will definitely need to be refinished. Sometime in it's past. The original finish was removed ... moreon top of the table. It has spots and color fading. The rest of the table and the 4 chairs has the original finish on them. Along with the expected wear, scuff marks and some finish loss is noted on some of the chairs and table legs/sides. Some veneer is missing in some areas. The chairs have been recovered at least once and a previous covering seems to be in place under the current one. One of the extensions has drip marks on the underside which may indicate that this extension has been refinished in the past. When placed in the table, the color and finish match everything on the set BUT the top of the table. All of the extensions are stamped with the same number. These pieces will be sold as is. Vintage Mid-Century Modern CONANT BALL STAMPED Dining Room Table & 6 Chairs
Up for consideration is an original vintage CONANT BALL FORMAL DINING ROOM set circa 1940s or 1950s. Near mint condition. Set includes a gate leg table with three(3) leaves; four(4) side chairs and two(2) Captain's chairs. All wood is in the original blond finish, untouched. This particular design for Conant Ball is attributed to Russel Wright, who designed for Conant Ball in the late 30s and early 1940s. This set was produced in the late 1940s or 1950s. Each piece is marked with the Conant Ball trademark, but there is no markings indicating that it is for certain a Russel Wright design. The original blond finish is in spectacular condition and we cannot find any flaws, whatsoever, to report. Either this set received no use at all, or someone really took care when dining. Let's start with the gate leg table(5 legs) Included are three(3) ... moreleaves. Each leaf is numbered and each has hardware latches to make a tight and sturdy fit when in place. Each leaf measures 13" inches wide. So, the table can expand from 62" inches(5' feet, 2" inches) long, all the way up to 102" inches(8' feet, 6" inches) long, depending on how many leaves are used. The table measures 40" inches wide. The chairs consist of four(4) side chairs and two(2) Captain's chairs(arm chairs) They feature a classic, mid-century design and are very sturdy in all cases. Someone made tan cushions for each chair. The cushions are not Conant Ball originals, but are included with the set at no extra charge(three cushions need a bit of stitching at the seams and all could use a cleaning) There are no returns on this heavy piece of furniture. Please ask all questions before purchasing this set. This is as you can imagine quite heavy to ship, and quite expensive to ship. This is a mid-century modern dining table with leaf manufactured by Walter of Wabash in 1959. It has been in my family the entire time. It is solidly constructed and is in good condition. There are some minor scratches and a small corner of the laminate has come off one side of the leaf. The table without the leaf measures 41 1/2" diameter by 27 1/2" high. The leaf is 41 1/2" x 13 3/4" x 1 3/4" With the leaf inserted. The table is just over 55" long.

Furniture makers of Glasgow, Scotland, and recently imported to the US through Edinburgh, ready for use in your home or place of business today. This delightful set includes a terrific sideboard. An amazingly versatile sleek line table with a hidden leaf that stores easily within the table as shown in my photo's and joined by six upholstered seat and back support chairs, also all well made with beautiful lines, tight joints and beige textured upholstery in nice condition which can simply be used as is or be replaced easily if desired by a new owner. The table with it's hidden leaf measures 50 3/4 inches long by 36 inches wide by 29 1/2 inches tall. With the leaf in place the table is 68 1/2 inches long and though the top has a bit of wear and a few minor surface ... morescratches it does not have any major scratches. Dents or gauges and it's sleek legs give this piece beautiful simple lines. The table is sturdy and really very nice. The wonderful sideboard measures 54 inches long by 34 inches tall by 21 3/4 inches deep front to back. The right side of the sideboard has open cabinet space 24 inches wide by 17 1/2 inches front to back and 22 inches tall. With an adjustable shelf which can be used to divide this cabinet space in two. The plastic stamped Elders tag is inside the right side facing cabinet door. The left side of the buffet has four drawers with lovely wooden knobs. The drawers are each 23 1/4 inches wide by 15 inches front to back and 3 1/2, 3 1/2, 4 1/2 and 6 1/2 inches deep respectively, in descending order. the top drawers is divided and felt lined while the other three are clean open wooden drawers. The terrific upholstered dining room chairs stand 32 inches tall and the four side chairs are 19 inches wide by 19 inches front to back while the two arm chairs are each 23 inches wide to the outside of the arms and 20 inches front to back. It includes a solid Pecan wood table with geometric wood inlaid tabletop. 1 extension leaf, 2 arm chairs, 4 side chairs. The wood has aged to a beautiful golden color. The chairs have delicate. Curved legs with a cane back. The wood is in excellent vintage condition- no chips, scratches, breaks, or stains. Painted white with a white formica top. It is in original condition. The matching chairs have red vinyl padded seats, and are believed to also be original. There are no tears or rips in any of the seats. The tabletop is in good condition with no scorch marks or gouges. It includes a leaf that is also in good condition. I have not been able to find a set like it anywhere online. Most of the sets of this style had the characteristic chrome trim all over them. This is a rare set in good original condition.
