The hand cut joinery and lion paw feet show great expertise. Bronze mounts are original. The original glass has just enough antique"smoke" to be charming. Encompassed by a multi-molded oak frame. Dating from the 1890s, the overall size of this chest is 39 inches wide, 20 inches deep, 34 inches to the top of the chest, 42 inches high to the top of the backsplash, and 72 inches high to the top of the mirror. The size of the looking glass is 33 inches wide, and 23 inches high. It has hand-cut dovetails, its original hardware, no key, but everything else is in great condition. This splendid 19th century cabinet is a very nice size that would allow it to be utilized in about any room of your home. This cabinet features its original thick marble top. Gorgeous feathered mahogany on the backsplash and front with early hand-cut dove-tailed end on the drawer. This cabinet measures 41 1/2 inches in height from the floor to the top of the back-splash. Height from the floor to the top of the marble measures 36 3/4 inches, this cabinet is 34 3/4 inches wide and 19 1/2 inches in depth and weighs approximately 100 lbs total. This cabinet offers a wonderful storage drawer with an ogee front of feather mahogany and the cabinet doors below feature the same beautiful feathered mahogany. Up for sale we have a very fine Eastlake Walnut commode with rare veined marble top. The commode is in all original condition with strong sturdy construction. This piece dates from the 1880 and has all the drawers and door full working order. The wood has beautiful graining with burled wood right on the front of the drawers. The hardware is very unusual for a small piece as it has large brass backplates with lots of Victorian detail. The marble is a rare color and texture with little fossilized pieces throughout. There did used to be a back splash that was on the back of the marble. But like many of its kind it is lost. There are still some holes in the marble top that can be expertly filled and polished invisably. We will have this done if the piece does not sell on Ebay. Antique Stunning Ram / Goat Head Marble Top Wood End Table 1800's or earlier
This auction is for a magnificant antique wood table with hand carved wood rams head legs and a marble top. I do not know the age of the table but it is at least 3 generations old. It has to be at least from the 1800's and maybe the 1700's or earlier. It was my Great. Great, Great Grandmothers(3 greats) and I am not sure where she got it or how old it was when she got it. It has a nice marble top. The table is in very nice condition. The heads of the rams if you look at it very closely are ever so slightly different do to them being hand carved. The marble top being old mined marble is farly smooth but has soom slight roughness in places adding character to it. The table stands 31 1/4" tall and the top is about 14" in total diameter. As far as I can see, it does not have any markings indicating who made it. On very close ... moreinspection I see that at some point it looks like one rams head had broken but was securly and beautifully re-attached. In one of the pictures I point to that. The marble slides slightly in the frame when tiped. Certainly not a problem but wanted to mention it. It is however secure. This is a beautiful table and a beautiful piece. It deserves to be displayed in a high-end estate. This will be very well packaged when shipped and insured. I wil ship it through UPS.

Outstanding Renaissance Revival Victorian carved Walnut Bed & marble top dresser
This two piece bedroom suite is from the 1870's in the Renaissance Revival style. It was once owned by the Mace Family. Of the founding members of the city of Duluth, MN and very influential in the 1880's. About 40 years ago, it was found packed away in the barn of one of the famil y's properties. With some judicious repair and much cleaning and polishing. The original finish was made to gleam, again and it has been used in our Master bedroom for many years. Now. We are down-sizing and the se wonderful pieces won't fit in the 8 foot ceilings of the house we have bought. Very sad. I do not know the maker of these matching pieces. But they are made from solid, beautifully-gra ined walnut with raised panels of darker walnut burl-all in good condition. The carvings are varied-lotus flowers. Waterlilies, leaves and scrollwork. ... moreThe white marble on the dresser is original and perfect. This is an imposing. Attention-getting set. The bed is wide enough to use as a Queen. As we have been doing, by fastening the headboard to the wall(virtually hanging it as you would a picture) and using a Q-size metal frame, turned around, with the footboard mounted where ordinarily the headboard would be, and not using the side rails-which however, are included. The condition is very good for it's age. You can see. In two of the pictures that there are a few pieces of burl missing and one chunk of wood missing from under the ledge of the marble on the dresser. The mirror is clear. The candle shelves are intact, the"secret drawer" is still there, a large crack on the headboard was repaired and is barely visible. All-in-all. A great find. The sideboard can be picked-up.
