Look at the burl panels on the fancy cutout legs and burls on the skirt. It is a wonderful looking table with a great looking patina of the solid walnut frame. The shapely white and gray grain marble top has an ogee bevel edge. One corner of the marble is a small hairline fracture, but it is not broken or cracked. It has incise carved frame skirt, incise carved legs joined together with a center column and it comes with the original castors. The overall size is 32 inches long, 24 inches deep and 31 inches high. It is a great looking stand to accent your room. The marble is gorgeous with an ogee bevel edge. It is shaped to the shape of the solid hand carved rose decorated skirt that has a finial on each corner block. The whole top rests upon four multi turn spindle fancy carved legs with buttons and rosettes that are all joined together in the center with a bowl or finial type top. The white and gray grain marble top is in nice condition that has some slight discoloration that isn’t very noticeable. The table itself is in nice original condition. The overall size is 39 inches wide, 27 inches deep and 30.75 inches high. It has the original castors all intact. The table is tight and sturdy.

European, Possibly Italian Item# 120008IRU26 This is a work of exquisite craftsmanship. Covered in a thick mahogany and rosewood veneer. The colors exemplified in this chest are simply remarkable. Inlaid with fine marquetry work, the musical instruments central to the commode are flanked on either side by books hanging from knotted ribbon. Two large drawers make up the case, each fully dovetailed front and back, exposed on the sides. Crisp gilt bronze mounts grace the corners and feet, allowing the cabriole legs to terminate in lion paw feet. This is a Vintage Marble Top Apothecary Balance Scale w/ Brass Trays. I believe it is a Henry Troemner because i have seen a couple of identical ones with the markings on the trays but I can not find any markings.It is in generally good condition but but I cannot tell you if it is accurate or not and it probably needs to be calibrated if it is to be used.The scale is 18" long-7 1/2 deep and 5 1/2 inches high to the marble top. Hand in-laid wood, marble-topped, dual brass pan apothecary balance(sometimes incorrectly called a“scale” It was made in France by the"Factories of the Mulatière- Lyon– House of Beranger"Google translation) probably in the mid-to-late nineteenth century(1800s) It is a very attractive example of a heavy. Solid, very well-made balance for use, or as an impressive part of any collection(see pictures) Balance is in excellent working condition considering its age! The stout knife edges and swing-arm internal mechanisms allow smooth operation of right and left pans. Both pans appear to be original to this unit! How often does that happen? We believe that because they both have the same stamped maker’s marks motif’ crown and 5-pointed star) as mentioned for the top center of the brass bezel discussed above. ... moreThey have a nice patina and do not have splits or cracks at the edges as many this age do. The balance dual“arrow” indicators are easy to read and work smoothly. The brass bezel surrounding the arrow indicators is embossed with“USINES DE LA MULATIERE” across the top arc; PORTEE” and“5 KIL” middle left and right) and“ A NE MAISONE BERANGER” across the bottom arc. A“LYON” medallion with a crown and a 5-pointed star is centered at the top. Corrosion is not that bad for a piece that could be 150 years old or more. The glass appears to be original and is clear with one vertical scratch. Which is not readily apparent unless viewed up close. The marble is soft white with natural color variations. It is not cracked and has a few small stains that are not readily visible when the pans are in place. It has 2 keyed holes in the bottom so that it fits securely on the base(it only fits one way– if the support stems rub. Chinese Rosewood Rose Marble Top Table Carved Lion Heads & Fruit Qing Dynasty
Up for your consideration is a nicely carved Chinese table from the 19th Century. Qing Dynasty period. Per the writing on the bottom of this table, this was purchased as a gift in 1896. There are 4 lions heads carved above each leg of the table. There is four carved"panels" between each of the legs which have a leaves and fruit carved design. One of these panels is broken and you can shift the two halves apart slightly. One of the panels is missing a small carved piece of the wood near the bottom edge. One of the round beads along the top edge has also been damaged and has been partially broken off. There is writing on the bottom of the table in red which states: A present to my mother 1896 from her brother from Hong Kong" The name Barbara Parson(or Parsons) is also written in red on the bottom of this table. The piece stands ... moreapprox. 18" tall and is approx. 14" diameter across the top and weighs just under 17 pounds. I believe the wood to be rosewood(I cannot guarantee that it is. However) and the insert is rose marble. The rose marble is dull and scratched. I believe that it can be polished back to life, but I will leave that up to the buyer's discretion. If you are looking for a table that is in great condition. Then this is not the table for you. Considering the age of this table, I would say that it is in acceptable condition with damage, and wear from age and use. It stands firm and is a sturdy table. It's roughly 100 years old and most likely ebonized rosewood. The top has an inset piece of scalloped rose colored marble. The table measures 18 inches all around; 18 inches high by 18 inches wide by 18 inches deep. The marble is in great condition. As for the wood, there is one bottom runner missing. It's a smooth curved piece and should be easy to have made by a carpenter. When in place, this table will be solid. There are a couple of little nicks in the wood and one triangular repaired crack on top, but the majority of this piece is in exceptional shape for its age. This is a stunning american empire marble top nightstand or commode in beautiful crotch mahogany. It has been professionally refinished and is in excellant condition. The original beveled edge marble is in excellant condition also with no chips or cracks. Below the marble top is a single drawer. Below the drawer is a keyed door(I have the key) that opens for storage. There is one shelf on the interior. The nightstand is 35" tall. 21" wide, and 20" deep. ANTIQUE HANDCRAFTED OAK DRY SINK WITH MARBLE TOP
This dry sink has been in the family for at least three generations. It's solid wood- oak I believe- with a red-brown marble top. It has seen some use and has a few scratched spots(see photos) but is a really nice serviceable piece of furniture; sort of a small gem. I've tried to capture it's character in the attached photos. Features: White oak(I'm pretty sure) construction« Maple( inlays on the drawer fronts« All original hardware. Including the porcelain casters« Dovetail joints on the drawers« Original red-brown marble top. I've been in the marble business for 30 years and don't recognize the stone; I'm guessing it's from an old eastern quarry. 30" wide x 16" deep x 38-1/2" tall to top of backsplash I can find no identification from the manufacturer but the piece is obviously ... morehandmade. While the front and sides are nicely finished. The bottoms of the drawers and the back panels are rough sawn. There are markings on the bottom of the large drawer which say"J.M.T. Macon City Mo, perhaps indicating a customer name as though the piece was being shipped to them. These are similar to the markings on furniture in the steamboat Arabia museum here in Kansas City, all of which dates from the 1850's. While I do sell a variety of items on eBay. It has a notched molded skirt. Heavily carved four outside legs, great center column with little balls attached to the outside, which is typical of Brooks, and the bottom return finial. The casters have been replaced with repros, which is no big deal. The marble has a slight stain in it, but nothing too serious. Overall, this is a really nice table at a reasonable price. The base is all solid black walnut, all carved back in the 1870s-80s era, and it looks like someone has either re-lacquered it or at least put a clear coat finish on it, because it looks a little shinier than a 120-year-old table would look. The patina looks really nice against the white and gray grain ogee beveled edge top, which has no cracks in it. The size is 37 inches long, 28 inches deep, and 30 inches high.
