The desk retains the original photograph from when it was retailed by Jacques Bodart, Inc. during the first quarter of the 20th Century, noting this as#1681. It is a gorgeous piece, the original gilt highlighted tooled green leather preserved in remarkable condition, framed in well patinated molded mahogany over five drawers. The desk rests over four tapered and stop-fluted legs with square brass caps over each leg and terminating in plain brass capped feet. Jacques Bodart. Inc. crafted very fine reproductions of Louis XVI 18th and 19th Century antique furniture, marketing these to interior designers and decorators around the country from their showroom in New York City. This is a simply outstanding selection, only more so due to the fine patina and character developed throughout, perfect for home decorators and those passionate about original French designs. Measurements: 55 1/8" wide x 28 1/4" deep x 30" high; wings are 12 3/4" across when fully extended. 21 5/8" deep. Condition Report: Nice patinated and almost certainly original surface. Sunbleached on the front and sides, color well preserved in the back. Very minor dings and abrasions here and there throughout, including minor blemishes and stains to the leather top. No key. Antique Stunning Ram / Goat Head Marble Top Wood End Table 1800's or earlier
This auction is for a magnificant antique wood table with hand carved wood rams head legs and a marble top. I do not know the age of the table but it is at least 3 generations old. It has to be at least from the 1800's and maybe the 1700's or earlier. It was my Great. Great, Great Grandmothers(3 greats) and I am not sure where she got it or how old it was when she got it. It has a nice marble top. The table is in very nice condition. The heads of the rams if you look at it very closely are ever so slightly different do to them being hand carved. The marble top being old mined marble is farly smooth but has soom slight roughness in places adding character to it. The table stands 31 1/4" tall and the top is about 14" in total diameter. As far as I can see, it does not have any markings indicating who made it. On very close ... moreinspection I see that at some point it looks like one rams head had broken but was securly and beautifully re-attached. In one of the pictures I point to that. The marble slides slightly in the frame when tiped. Certainly not a problem but wanted to mention it. It is however secure. This is a beautiful table and a beautiful piece. It deserves to be displayed in a high-end estate. This will be very well packaged when shipped and insured. I wil ship it through UPS.

This table was recently removed from an old Massachusetts estate. The table is 100% original and in very nice condition. It was made of solid American black walnut and retains its original finish. The marble top is original to this table and is in good condition. It is an insert with a burled walnut removable frame. The table has cookie corners, the apron has burl panels with its carved accents underneath all still present. for auction is a one of a kind antique burl walnut coffee table. i attribute it john jelliff. If he made it, good for him, you won't find a better one, if someone else made it, they are at least as good as jelliff if not better. anyway, this is the real deal, it is not cut down, it is not a reproduction. most tables listed as coffee tables are cut down from a taller table. coffee tables for real are quite rare in antiques, this particular one is extremely rare. i have never seen another like it. you will not find another one like it nor will you find a better one. it is fabulous, center crests on sides and ends, corinthian capitals on the top of the legs supporting the table top frame. the marble top is very intricate, also original to the piece and in perfect condition with no cracks, chips, etc. the marble alone today would cost at ... moreleast 1000.00 to have cut scalloped and molded. the table has many great features, the burl walnut in the several panels makes it extremely attractive. it is very solid and free of any visible damage or repairs, there is some crazing in the burl but that is to be expected on a table that is 150 years old. the only tweaking i can see on the table is that a couple of the glue blocks have been replaced. it is a large one being 42 inches wide, 29.5 inches deep, and 21 inches tall. again, you can not find this table anywhere, it is in a league of it's own and is of nearly museum quality. it has been in my bedroom in front of a belter sofa for some time now, however, i just acquired a wonderful john henry belter bedroom set which is taking up quite a lot of additional space and this particular table needs to go somewhere else, problem is i do not have any room for it anywhere else so i have decided to sell it. a very very nice table. you make pick it up at my home or it can be shipped at buyer's expense. good luck.

1903 HAMILTON Imposing Frame, Marble Top Table. Very Solid Oak heavy duty.
INDUSTRIAL FURNITURE CIRCA 1903. HAMILTON MFG. CO. Two Rivers, Wisconsin. 47" L x 29" W x 38" High. WOULD MAKE A NICE KITCHEN ISLAND, OR TO DISPLAY ARTIFACTS. It's a Vermont Marble Stone used for levelling the type faces in a composing room prior to proof printing. It weighs approx. 420 lbs. with the Vermont Marble top. See photo#3 for more detail, or Google it in the Hamilton Mfg Co. 1903 Catalog, pp.137-139. It is made so it can be taken apart and packed flat for shipping on a pallet or crated, at buyer's cost. Available for local pickup as is, or we can arrange for it to be crated at the buyer's cost. We estimate the shipping weight to be 500 lbs. crated. Buyer assumes all responsibility for any damage caused during crating and shipping. We believe it was originally used in Santa Barbara, CA, possibly by the ... morelocal newspaper.We acquired it with a house bought from a printer who had worked at the News-Press. The Vermont Marble Stone top is 26 x 44 x 2 inches thick, weighs 280 lbs. The oak strips around the stone in photo#2 are called the"coffin" and were missing, so we had new ones made from white oak. They are engraved HAMILTON MFG. CO. exactly as the original ones, front and back. The stone top has some chips around the edges but has no cracks. The flat top surface is slightly rough and scratched from use but could easily be refinished by any monument shop. The center drawer goes right through, and has the original HAMILTON cast iron pulls. The lower platform is made of oak planks, they are a little warped from age but quite usable. The legs are about 4" square and the frame was painted battleship gray but most of it had worn off. The frame is very solid, could be refinished easily to make a really handsome piece.

Folks were doing extremely well and I call it affectionately the Rockerfeller Era. Money was no object. Henry Fuldner and Sons was the manufacturer. You will see the original sticker in the top drawer side. Anyone who knows vintage and early 20c furniture knows Henry Fuldner and Sons. The end table is 29 1/2" high. 12" deep and 14" wide. Being offered for sale is this wonderful Victorian Eastlake Walnut& Burl Marble Top Side Parlor Lamp Table circa 1880.This lovely 19th century table features splendid clover type carvings on the legs. Burl walnut accents on the table apron and legs,period incised carvings and drop carved accents on each side of the apron. This table measures 29 inches in height. 28 inches wide by 20 inches deep and weighs approximately 45 lbs.
