This is a beautiful antique Martha Washington Sewing ... moreCabinet in very good condition. The cabinet opens to reveal a small desk! A s is typical for most pieces of this style. T he cabinet has flip-top side compartments and base drawers. Rather than three drawers. This unique piece has two drawers and opens and folds to reveal a beautiful pull-out writing surface, two letter compartments, and two small drawers with tiny brass knobs. When closed. The cabinet measures 31" tall, 33.75" wide and 14" deep. When the desk is open, it is 35.75" tall and 14" to 17.5" deep depending on how far the writing surface is extended. The drawers and side cabinets are clean and in excellent shape. The cabinet is in very good condition with no cracks or splits. It is not without blemish, but is structurally sound and in very good overall condition. This is a sturdy piece of furniture weighing 36 pounds. The most significant blemish is at the left hinge(when facing the piece) where the top folds back into the desk(this should be visible in the last picture) The hardware is a bit temperamental and has caused a knick in the wood. But the damage is not visible when the desk is open. There is some repair to where the back left leg attaches to the base which is not visible unless you are under the cabinet. I have owned this piece since the early 70s. There is some evidence on the bottom that it has previously been painted. It now has a beautiful finish with a lovely patina that is at least 40 years old. When it was purchased. The antique dealer indicated they had never seen another sewing cabinet that converted to a desk. And I have never seen another one in the more than 40 years I have owned this one. I will be happy to provide additional pictures. Measurements or details. I will also be more than willing to discuss shipping alternatives. This hand carved tea table and chairs were bought by my father over 20 years ago when he was living in Saudi Arabia during the Desert Storm war with Iraq. He bought it from a local merchant that had to specially order it from Hong Kong. This is a vintage Victorian Mahogany table. I believe it is called a lamp or plant table. No marble top. It was broken and I did not include it. it measures about 18" tall and is 13" across the top. The wood table is in very good condition with normal wear from age(no breaks or repairs) I do have the marble top but it was broken and glued back together. If anyone is interested I will include it, but of course shipping will go up to 19 lbs. purchased at an estate sale.

FEDERAL PERIOD FLAME MAHOGANY LADIES DROP LEAF WORK TABLE WITH FINELY CARVED PEDESTAL ATTRIBUTED TO THE WORKSHOP OF DUNCAN PHYFE NEW YORK CITY CIRCA 1810'S With our highest compliments we are pleased to bring you this fine circa 1810's Flame and solid mahogany two drawer ladies work table attributed to the workshop of Duncan Phyfe New York City. This work table has a very unusual faux drawer facing on its reverse side that identically matches the front drawer faces down to the tightly carved cock bead molded drawers. This work table has an equally unique channel carved tapered center column flowing down into Regency influenced stylized spider legs on its original caster wheels. It is equipped with a tightly chip carved base on the base of the center column. With four drop finials on each corner under the base of this work table it ... moremakes a powerful presence. This is a completely unique creation by Duncan Phyfe's shop. It is in very good condition and has been well maintained. There is one professional repair to the flame mahogany veneered top. One small profile of the center column's base appears to have been re-enforced in an old restoration with a dowel plug. It has a powerful all original finish& surface. You can see some residual from it being waxed in the carvings of the center column and in a few other small carvings cervices. This table is 34 1/2" long with its drop leaves locked open and 17 1/2" long with the leaves down. It is 18 1/4" wide and stands 29 1/2" tall.
