This Drexel dining table is part of a set that includes 5 side chairs and 1 arm chair. The table is solid mahogany with a banded edge and an unusual design. It looks like federal but the brass ended legs are almost modern looking-it just has beautiful lines. This table came to me with some water and heat damage on the surface of the table that was repaired by refinishing the top. The legs and bottom of the table have no problems. The table is not perfect but the top is pretty close. Which is a characteristic of solid wood. It can last a very long time. because of superior construction and materials, but can get scratched, dented, scorched, ect. throughout the years. London and they bought it in 1996 from a Kings Road shop, at great expense. This table can seat eight people in great comfort and ten people at a pinch if required. The table has wind out mechanism and two leaves which can be added as required. It stands on it's original brass castors. This is a very nice antique Victorian pedestal style dining table base. It is solid mahogany and has a fluted pedestal. It is stamped with the number 100 on the bottom. It originally had a 50" top, it measures 25" high, it is designed to have castors which would add some height, measuring across the center of any two legs it is 26 1/2" and the top brackets are 14 1/2" wide x 12" deep, the legs are 2 3/4" wide. Some of the hardware on the top is missing as you can see in the pictures. Overall it is in good condition, some scuffs, nicks and dings to the legs which you can see, no splits or cracks to the pedestal or feet and no repairs.
