I gave it a basic scrubbing and a couple coats of shellac and Added some three quarter inch steel pipe legs to raise it up to use as a stand. An I think it's fantastic. This modernist piece features a beautiful combination of straight lines and curves with a double circle element on the raised base. The circles are both side by side as well as top and bottom which gives the table a cylindrical effect when viewing it from above. The table tapers subtly from the top so the rectangular base is slightly smaller in width than the top. The table is sturdy and in good condition. This is a very unique piece with quite a few possible uses. First the color and contrast is great. All metal is painted orange and the sides and bottom are wood, well worn. This piece measures approx. 24" x 24" x 26" tall on steel casters. This piece could be great to use as a small coffee table or end table, just add a glass top and use the inside to store or display something under the glass. Has a couple of well worn handles that add to the look. You could also just use it as a cart to transfer material, such as a container for fire wood.
