I would guess that it most likely dates to the mid-century or possibly a bit later. One of the supports that holds one of the drop leaf sides up is broken away from the bottom, and needs to be screwed back in. This is the only real problem with the table. It is a great size, that would fit nicely into a smaller space, as well as being useful in any room, with its drop leaf design. The table stands 27.5” tall, with the bottom platform of the table being about 8.5” high, the table is 27.5” deep, is 17” wide with the leaves down, and about 39” wide with the leaves up.

up for auction is a fantastic period mahogany drop leaf table. the center board is one board. Each drop leaf is one board. the table has slide mechanism to hold the drop leafs up. they work well and are of wonderful design and construction this is a very early piece and is all original as far as i know. it is very sturdy. Does not wiggle or wobble or have any loose parts. the pedestal is inserted into the top support board and has soaked and wooden wedges placed all around it to keep it in place. i doubt that you could beat the pedestal out of it's position with a post mall. very very solid and sturdy. the legs are strong and do not wiggle or wobble at all and they have small wheels on the bottom. they are not warped in any way. the table opens and is level and the slides hold the leaves with no swag whatsoever.anyway. Vintage 1960's Ercol Extending Drop Leaf Dining Table & 4 Chairs
There is a section in middle shown on the second to last picture where the table is separating slightly. Very sturdy and fantastic quality of Ercol furniture which has stood the test of time Has been stored in a garage for around 10 years and needs a little TLC. But in general is in superb condition for a dining set which has seen 2 generations grow up and eat meals around this table. Have decided to part with this now as I need the garage space for other things.

This is a very nice dining Table which would seat 8 people fully extended and folds down to a drop leaf table. It was made in Michigan circa 1940 l would say. It has satinwood string inlay to the legs. There are two leafs that go into the center, great for entertaining then you can fold it away, the condition is very good. American Chippendale Mahogany Drop Leaf Table w/ Ball and Claw Feet Probably Pennsylvania c. 1770-90. Shaped Apron Item# 100105QPP31 An exceptional work of early American craftsmanship. This is an outstanding selection for serious collectors of Pennsylvania Chippendale furniture. Each board on the table is fully solid single planks of Mahogany, each carefully selected for the best possible grains. They are hand planed to leave a flawless top surface, with an unfinished and uneven planed underside. The leaves hang from the table with hand crafted original hinges, uncommon with the pressure usually on these hinges, but a statement to the quality of craftsmanship in the piece. One hinge is a possible replacement. Still a period hand forged hinge, but of different dimension from the other three) The hinges are reinforced to allow originality ... moreand functionality at the same time. The top sits gracefully over its original frame. The frame has a most graceful form. With a flowing carved apron floating the front and back. The practical hand craftsmanship is obvious, where the cabinetmaker carved and finished the front of each apron, but left the back unfinished with evidence of chisel and knife throughout. Each corner is formed with a pegged tenon-mortise joint, while the frame- of primarily pine secondary woods- joins with dovetailed construction for a permanent build. The underside of the table is locked on to the top with original glued blocks. The frame sits over four cabriole legs, rolling with ease into the tendons and muscles tensed in grip. It has some of the most beautiful Philadelphia ball and claw carvings, with full details of the talons, stretched skin and sharpness of the grasping nails reaching around each perfectly formed ball. Small knicks and marks from the knife are still apparent where they carefully carved each foot. The piece boasts the most magnificent patina and depth of finish. William and Mary Period Oval Gate Leg Breakfast Table Late 18th Century. England; one leaf replaced, feet probably replaced. Item# 120008SMT11 This is a table of unusual form with a simply gorgeous oval oak top. Each section of two solid golden oak boards covered with a wonderful wax finish, the leaves lifting to flush on ruled joints. The leaves have original 18th century hand forged hinges, though we suspect at least one of the leaves is replaced(see notes below in condition) The frame is pinned tenon-mortise construction over intensely ring-turned legs, each stretched permanently by a box-form stretcher, from which the gating leg on either side swings freely on a through-dowel peg. The legs swing very easily and smoothly to support the leaves, each with the correlating scrape marks underneath. It is an excellent piece to match any Colonial ... moreinspired decor. While having an overall petite proportion that is very desirable in a table of this nature. Vintage Maple Rolling Drop Leaf Tea Cart With Drop Handle And Wooden Wheels
This listing is for a very neat solid maple rolling tea cart. There is no makers mark on it. Drop leaf design. A leaf folds out on each side. The drop handle either hangs or folds up for pushing the cart. It has latches to keep it in place. The back wheels are wonderful.they're solid wood with a rubber piece along the outside. They actually have a wooden peg holding them on! The front wheels are regular castors. The wheels are squeaky but probably just need oiling. The top does need some minor refinishing as can be seen in the pictures. The flaws are just surface however and this would be a very simple job. NEW ENGLAND, Probably New Hampshire, Circa 1810-1830 IN NEAR PERFECT CONDITION AND THE BEST ORIGINAL SURFACE. Classic Sheraton turnings on the legs. The feet are fully intact and all original. Great dovetailed drawer construction. Single one board top with its original drop leaves which retain an early rule joint edge and both of its original leaf supports as well as its original hinges. Fine Empire carved drop leaf table. C. 1825. Made with solid South American. Or Cuban mahogany. Finely carved base with acanthus leaves and simply wonderful New York style true hairy paw feet. The top is over two leaves set on a foliate carved standard. Raised on four leaf carved legs ending in the New York style feet, set on steel casters. The legs and the feet are in excellent condition. Antique Ribbon Mahogany Drop Leaf Leather Top Tea or Side Table
This is an antique Estate drop leaf ribbon mahogany side table that can convert to a sweet tea table by raising the leaves. Brown leather 3 section top with gilt tooling around the edges. Fluted legs rise to elegant lyre shaped frame on each side of the table Looking at the base construction the ribbon mahogany wood can be easily seen as well as the brass hinges. When the leaves are raised the table swivels into place and locks similar to the antique games tables. The drop leaf design allows the table to expand from 19 3/4” x 11” to a tea table 32 1/2” x 19 3/4” The table height is 21” Condition: very sturdy the leafs swivel easily into place The leather top has sustained some minor wear marks and scuffs that I have tried to show as clearly as possible in the pictures. This cool table was made in 1978. It has wooden legs& Formica top in very good condition. The legs have a beautiful handle on each side to be utilize when you move the table up and down. Beautiful old drop-leaf solid cherry side table with one drawer. The grain in the wood and the simplicity of the design and lines is very nice. The wood inside the drawer has Rochester N.Y. U.S Naval Medic stamped on both sides. Not sure of the history or significance. Might have just used the wood for a repair. Not sure of the age, but guessing late 1800's or early 1900's. The table measures 29 1/2" high, 33 3/4" by 20 1/4" with leaves down, and leaves extended, it measures 33 3/4" by 39 3/4" As you can see in the picture a lamp probably was on table and sun faded out the top, could easily be fixed with a refinishing. 30s Aqua Drop Leaf Desk // 20s to 30s sweet little desk with charm // solid wood
Lovely character desk painted a pretty aqua blue. The desk has two shelves on the bottom and a drawer on the outside. When it opens up there is lots of space for storing things. The lady I bought this from did a wonderful job painting it but for some reason the little drawer seems to stick. I fell in love when I saw this unique little desk. The color is so retro and cheerful. And very very rare to find a 30s drop leaf desk. It isn't perfect as some little edges have been painted over and there are a few little nicks off the paint but this just gives it so much more character. Rare American Chippendale Antique Table, Single Drop Leaf, Ball & Claw c.1770-90
Rare American Chippendale One Leaf Table American Black Walnut w/ Shell Carved Legs on Ball& Claw Feet Probably Connecticut River Valley. C. 1770-90 Item# 130309GZP24 A fine work of the American Chippendale period. This is an exceedingly rare form. Termed by Wallace Nutting a"Sideboard Table" the form is generally recognized as a One Leaf Drop Leaf Table, a piece intended for display against the wall with it's exposed apron facing out. As such, the front two legs are highlighted with beautiful raised shells while the rear legs are unadorned. Crafted of what appears to be[not micro-analyzed] an American Black Walnut of well selected flowing grain. The top board and leaf both display a wonderful ribbing at the center surrounded by wide flowing veins; similarly in the apron and legs, the veins are large and run in distinct ... morechannels in a way that enhances the cabriole of the leg and does not distract from the scrolling scallop of the apron. While single leaf drop-leaf tables are predominantly found in Massachusetts. This table exhibits every indication of being of Connecticut craftsmanship with the distinct influence of Delaware River Valley tradition in it's construction and form. The sides of the apron are recessed, the inner edges of the leg posts being thumb molded and flanking the inset apron and knee returns, clearly reminiscent of Philadelphia treatment of this leg[see Kugelman. P. 136, fig 3.5 for a discussion of similar features on a dining table with East Windsor CT provenance and likely origin] Likewise. The pinned tenon-mortise joinery in the frame and legs is borrowed from this region. The intensely scalloped apron exudes grace and liveliness with a repeating lobe flanked by a half step[for similar apron treatments see Kugelman. P. 88-91- those documented of Wethersfield, Connecticut craftsmanship] The purity of the craftsmanship is representative of a very accomplished artisan; every detail is perfected.
