Hi. I am selling this really nice vintage desk. On the back there is the number 2449. Inside the top drawer is the metal label of Johnson-Handley Johnson Co. I have included a picture. The drawers are dove tailed and all of the drawers glide smoothly. This desk is very solid and very nice. But there are few small things I would like to point out. I have not polished or done anything to it since I received, including not dusting. There are some water rings on top, also a scrape on the top back left hand corner. On the first large drawer, down in the very right hand corner of it is a chip. Also on the left hand side there is a slight gap, probably just needs a tap but I don't do those things. For your consideration is this Heywood Wakefield drop leaf table and 6 chairs. It is their M197G table with 2 leaves and a set of 6 dog bone chairs. 4 M154A side chairs and 2 M154C arm chairs all in champagne finish. This set is barn fresh and retains what is left of a dry, worn dirty finish. One of the chairs is broken between the seat frame and the backrest. It is a clean break that follows the grain of the wood and should not be a big deal to repair. There are of course a couple loose table legs as well which is not necessarily unusual to this model. Look at the photos carefully, what's left of the finish is dry, dirty and worn. That being said with a little sweat equity it would finish up nicely. I never pass up a piece of Cherry Furniture! This stand is structurally sound with all dovetail and square nail construction. Top needs a refinish. But I love it as is! Drawers run smooth, leaves easily fold and come rest upright. Hinges underneath look like replacements circa 1920 ish. Legs are hand turned solid cherry, all boards on top as well. Drawer interiors look to be made from a different wood, but bottoms are all hand planed and are original. Just a classic piece of east coast colonial furniture. Especially made from solid mahogany throughout(even the drawer interior and back) and from the Mission/Craftsman style and era. Authentic Heywood Wakefield double wishbone table. The table was refinished prior to our purchase. The finish is nice and shiny but does have some light blemishes in it- see photos. The underside of the table is marked"CHAMPAGNE" but the makers mark was covered in the refinishing. The legs and leaves are in great shape, there are a couple discolorations in the tabletop, shown in the pictures. The side leaves of the table drop so this is great for a compact space. without a doubt this is one of the finest thomas day tables i have ever owned. i have had a few of them and always sold them for a decent price. i have had a couple of swivel top game tables go for better than 3000.00 and just recently sold a tilt top day table for around 1800 i believe it was. A rather small table but as all of day's pieces, it was built to perfection. if you don't know about thomas day, you should google him, very interesting reading plus informative as to the quality of pieces he made. at any rate, i have for sale the only drop leaf game table by day i have ever owned and i must say it is as nice as any as i have owned. martin terry also a black man and an expert on antique furniture assured me that this is a day table. when you look at this table you can not take your eyes off of it. it has by far the finest mahogany ... moregrain i have seen on any furniture piece. it has a wonderful acanthus carved pedestal that is supported by expertly fashion legs that are mortised in and finally sits on very nice and proportional size claw feet. the table could be used as a drop leaf kitchen table, but the drawer which is hand chamfered and has hand cut dove tails is a drawer for poker chips, cards, and other games. it has 8 compartments. the table is very heavy and extremely well made. note the leaf supports, two on each side which are mortised into the table skirt with expert tooling work. also note how the legs are mortised into the base of the pedestal to perfection. the table is a great and convenient size, when the leaves are down it is( the center section alone0 24.25 inches wide and 39 inches long, and stands 28 inches high. with the leaves up it is a bit over 44 wide, 39 inches deep, and 28 inches high. this table you just want to stare at and rub your hand over. the finest grain ever and feels like satin glass. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyers expense. i can help arrange for shipping should anyone need help there. note, i just went over it with furniture polish but i see i fa

This is a very unique. Very old solid wood accent table. Triangle shaped with drop leaves, it looks like someone started to refinish it. Sanded smooth, it stands 23" tall. The top is 16"x16"x16" with the leaves down. When the leaves are up, it is 22"x21" in size. The 3 bent legs are approximately 10" tall with the center post being 11" One of the leaf supports has been replaced, as you can see in the pictures. The hardware appears to be original. The table comes in 3 pieces, twisting together with no hardware. There are no markings or tags that I have found. It looks like walnut, but I am not positive. Antique 19th C. FEDERAL PERIOD MAHOGANY DROP LEAF BREAKFAST TABLE Duncan Phyfe A beautiful ca. 1810-1820 mahogany drop leaf breakfast table. It is of solid mahogany with no veneers. The top is of single board construction as are the leaves. The edges are reeded. Each leaf has two carved supports and three iron hinges. The skirt boards are dovetailed. The turned column is supported by reeded legs sitting on brass paw feet with brass casters. The bottom of the legs and column are strapped with steel and fastened with screws. The drawer has a craved out bottom for grasp. It never had a pull. It has hand cut dovetail joinery with a chamfered bottom. It has cock beading on the front and the secondary wood is oak. Box also says"D 09" This was made in the USA of high speed steel. I do not know anything about this. And am only going by the information on the box. This comes in the original box which is slightly torn/beat up and rusty. The blade seems to be in good condition but it is rusty in places. Can probably be cleaned up? American Federal Mahogany Pembroke Table Possibly New England. Circa the 1st Quarter of the 19th Century Item# 100009RQI12*Please note. We are not certain of the American origin and have priced it accordingly; it is possibly of English origin and if this is important to you we would ask that you confirm it prior to purchasing* This wonderful table has some of the most incredible wood selections. All three leaves boasting a perfect glowing golden mahogany waxed surface. The top and leaves are fully solid single mahogany boards, with no veneering or joining. Each leaf has cropped corners, lifting on original hinge hardware, with a rotating wing that smoothly glides out to solidly support the upraised leaf. There is a single drawer, outlined carefully with satinwood string inlay running below it. The drawer is hand dovetailed, front and back, ... morewith a hand planed and chamfered bottom. It features fully hand crafted brass pull hardware, original to the piece and a gorgeous piece of art in it’s own right. The frame sits over tapered legs, the secondary woods of solid pine. This is a very fine piece with wonderful lines, great proportions and outstanding condition. It will bring warmth to any setting, particularly delightfully between two large Federal chairs in a formal living room. Measurements: 20 ½” wide(closed) 38 ¼” wide(opened) x 29 ¾” long x 28 ¼” high Condition Report: Minor scratches and dings here and there. Refinished. Though somewhat early with a very fine patina.
