These are just flaws in the finish only-there are no scratches, gouges, chips, cracks or repairs to this original condition, elegant piece. The 2 original leveling feet for the center support are missing. Once again lighting and photographing this piece presented a bit of a challenge for me. BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE WALNUT DROP LEAF DINING TABLE
This is a really elegant. Sturdy, and functional antique walnut drop leaf table with turned legs and beveling along the edges. It is 61" long when both leaves are extended and 40" wide and 28 3/4" high. Quite a heavy piece. There are leg stabilizers(see the last photo) that have been added underneath each leaf to keep the legs from shifting or leaning, though the table is very sturdy. My family has owned this table for at least sixty years and it has seen many family dinners. Discussions, laughter, and sorrows. But I MUST downsize, sadly enough. The table is available for pick up by the buyer or a freight agent in stunning Graeagle, California, in the Sierra Nevada mountains about 60 miles from Reno, NV, and 60 miles from gorgeous Lake Tahoe, and about 2 1/2 hrs. drive from Sacramento, CA. BALTIMORE, MD C. 1820-35 In the manner of John Needles(Baltimore. 1786-1878) crafted of solid mahogany over reeded legs Item# 120009RUW29 The present example is a very fine solid mahogany full dining table. Capable of seating six people comfortably when it is fully opened. The mahogany leaves are single solid boards with reeding along the edges that mirrors the legs, each hanging on original hand forged iron hinges to easily swing up and down. A flamed mahogany veneer completes the apron of the table. The table has six legs, an expensive feature that was time consuming and reserved for a more affluent client. It allows the table to remain firmly rooted while the leaves are extended, truly making it a fully functional dining table. The legs swing over knuckle joints formed of solid oak. In unison ... morewith the exterior of the table frame, this surrounding what appears to be pine secondary wood making up the inside of the table frame. These thick secondary woods are remarkably strong and allow the leg to remain in nearly untouched condition after nearly 200 years. The table rests over turned double-rings over sharp reeding, to terminate again in double ringlets over tapered feet. This is a very attractive example for collectors of American forms. Crafted in a distinct manner to that of John Needles. Needles is well known as an artisan with significant output in the Baltimore. Maryland area during the height of the American Classical period. Labeled and documented works by the shop of John Needles are typically accompanied by unusually strong and nearly triangular reeding on legs or pillars, typically in tables though also found in large cabinets and sideboards. Winchendon Number 1523 Planner Group Drop Leaf Extension Table in excellent original condition. 40" wide with 15" drop leaves that taper to 36" Three 12" leaves, and original top pad. With leaves down it measures just 40"x 24" And with the leaves up it measures 40"x 54" With the three 12" leaves in place in extends to 90" in length. The original 4 piece protective pad that I have does not allow for the extra center leaves. This table has only a couple of very minor flaws: a couple of watermarks on the top. And a couple of minor abrasions to the legs at chair seat height. These are just flaws in the finish only-there are no scratches, gouges, chips, cracks or repairs to this original condition, elegant piece. Vintage 1940's/1950s Drop Leaf Dining Table w/ Chairs
Selling my grandmothers 1940s/1950s drop leaf dining table and chairs. It has been handed down to me after her passing. I have recovered the chairs in a more up to date fabric. Five chairs are included. I believe the wood is either a maple or fruitwood. My grandmother used to run an antique shop in the mountains of North Carolina and a lot of her items in her home came from there. I'm not sure if this is one of them but possibly could be. The chairs have a peek-a-boo back to them. The table top surface needs some touching up as well as the chair legs. Otherwise the table is in good condition for its age. This antique solid cherry dining room table stores beautifully. But can be easily opened to accommodate 6 to 8 people, depending on the size of the chairs. The drop leaves are supported by swinging gate legs. Fully opened, the table's dimensions are approximately 46" wide by 68" long. Closed, the table measures roughly 47" by 20" Drop sides are approximately 24" long. Table is 30" tall. This table does not accommodate leaves. I am unsure of exact age of this piece, but it has been in my family for over 50 years. Best guess is that it dates to the 1930s or 1940s. The wood has beautiful character and wonderful patina. Russian Folding Drop Leaf White Walnut Veneer Art Deco Wood Dining Table
You are bidding on a vintage. Russian made, veneered drop-leaf table. The tag is on the very bottom and partially missing. I can't make out the maker. It clearly shows that it states that this is a folding dining table with some numbers that don't mean anything to me. It's very pretty but does not fit in my tiny cabin. There's some surface scratches from use. The leaves need a little bit of'tightening' There are piano hinges on both sides. The screws are a little loose which, when raising the heavy sides, you can notice. One of the leaves has a bow in it but it's not very strongly pronounced that you really notice it that much when the table is open. I don't use it and I don't want to further stress it from moving it. I'm hoping it will go to a good home where someone will give it a little bit of love ... moreand enjoy it for years to come. It's heavy and fragile so I'd prefer to have someone come by to pick it up.

BEAUTIFUL! Vintage antique dining room set: Drop leaf table in its smallest form measures approximately 24 in. wide by 42 in. deep. Opened without any leaves measures approximately 58 in. long by 42 in. wide. Has two(2) 12 in. original leaves and one smaller makeshift 10 in. leaf that make the table a maximum length of 92 in. long.almost 8 ft. Has 4 double curved legs with claw feet and brass toe caps. The table and leaves are in very nice condition with no major scratches. Comes with a 2 piece. Thick felt table cover protector. Set of six(6) dining chairs are Victorian style with curved legs. Padded upholstered seats and ornately carved backs(please see closeup picture) The fabric on the seats is cream/off-white colored(a little darker than the pictures show) with light rose/pink colored flowers. The fabric on the seats is in really good ... morecondition with no rips or tears, but there are some spots and they could use a good shampooing/cleaning. Overall all the wood on the chairs is also in very nice condition as well. PLEASE NOTE: The back on one of the chairs has broken in half horizontally, but can very easily be fixed. I will leave that up to the buyer who can probably do a better job than myself. This dining set has been in the family for many generations and has been taken very good care of over the years. I don't know and have no way of knowing if the table and chairs originally came together as a set or not. Unfortunately the last person who would know this has recently passed away. It is truly more beautiful than the pictures depict and would be far more appreciated seen in person! With a little work to fix the back of the one chair and clean the upholstery.
