Sanded, paste filled, applied hand rubbed lacquer, fitted the five leaves, and fabricated skirts for the leaves, so you don’t ever have to look at an ugly gap. for sale is a wonderful antique solid quartersawn oak dining table with a hexagon shape split pedestal. the locking mechanism on the table and pedestal works to perfection. the table opens easily and is perfectly level. this table is of the highest quality construction made with the best material available at the time. this table dates to 1904( the date on the back of the mirror of the buffet) and is part of a set that i have. i tried the set on ebay and had no luck in selling it. you would think that a set would bring more than individual pieces. But that is not the case on ebay. i had the set listed at about 1000 less that i will wind up listing the table, buffet, and chairs for. the set was made by abernathe furniture co. of kansas city, mo. and if you google them you will find they were noted for high quality furniture. the table i would ... moresay is in mint condition with no issues to report of missing pieces, damage, failure to function etc. this table is 54 inches in diameter and opens to 80 inches before the pedestal needs to be opened. at 80 inches it will accept two of the 11 inch leaves, making the table 76 inches in length or 6 feet and 4 inches. if desired the pedestal may be released and it will then open to 107 inches and of course will then accept the remaining two 11 inch leaves making the table 98 inches of 8 feet 2 inches. there are glide stop pins on the table runners. if they were removed it appears the table would open to at least 10 feet or more. this is a great table, solid quartersawn oak with the best flake to be found. the quartersaw flake is not only abundant in the solid top but in the pedestal, feet, stretcher, skirt, etc. it also features twisted columns which add a special appeal to the table, these twisted columns are also found on the buffet and chairs. did i mention it has 4- 11 inch oak leaves original to the table. it is supported by turned bun type feet which retain their original metal casters which work to perfection. the table rolls like a wagon on carpet as well as a hard su

It is made of solid oak and it will accomodate five of the six 12" Leaves that it comes with in their own rack. Having these leaves in their original rack is what kept them straight all of these years which is so hard to find. The top could use some refinishing or perhaps you would rather give it s good polishing to retain the old patina. Unfortunately the center leg is missing. The estate owner said they never used the center leg and do not have it now. This set is in great condition. It is a complete Russel Wright dining set. The maker is Conant Ball. 1 Credenza with green felt lined divided drawers. 1 China Press with on felt lined drawer, 1 table 40 by 62 with 6 screw in legs and 3 leaves(each leaf adds 11 inches) Total table length is approximately 95 inches. I believe the wood is maple and the finish is a lovely honey color and is in excellent shape. There are 2 captains chairs and 4 regular chairs with new upholstery. The chairs have been reglued and are very sturdy. This is a great set for mid centruy lovers.

This is a nice antique dining room table with extra leaves. Made of solid mahogany wood. It's very heavy. The legs are connected at each end and then down the center for stability and wonderful looks. Large pineapple style carvings on each leg. The corners of the table are cut diagonally for an attractive hexagon shape. Edges are slightly beveled. Lower edges have some inlaid wood. It measures 45 inches across x 60 inches long. There are 2 12 inch leaves to make it measure approximately 84 inches. Table has gears underneath that make it slide easily to open for adding leaves. It is in good condition. Antique Dining Table 9ft 10in X 44in w/ six leaves & 8 original chairs
Tiger Oak dining table and chairs. They are from the mid to late 1800's. The table seems older like possibly from the 1830s to 1860s and the chairs seem to be from a period between 1875 and 1900. Without leaves the table measures 44in square. There are six(6) leaves each about 1 3/8in. The total length with all leaves is 9ft 10in. The table is in very good condition. It was completely restored in about 1998. The under frame is all original and did not need any restoration. A miracle really. It is remains in excellent working condition fully supporting the six leaves. It opens and closes very smoothly. With all of the leaves. This table is absolutely beautiful. Huge. It looks like it goes on forever. You can comfortably serve 12 and could probably squeeze in 14. There is some minor water damage on three leaves and on one side of the table. ... moreAn example photo is attached. More photos are available. A local sanding and re-polish would mostly suffice although if you want it perfect the entire top would need to be re-sanded and re-finished. But it would require nothing more than that for perfection. There are 8 chairs. Seven(7) have caning threaded through the wood itself while the 8th has an inset cane panel. A two photos of the cane panel are provided. Some example photos of the threaded caning are provided and the 7 other chairs are substantially similar. I'll send you more photos if needed. The chairs are beautiful tiger oak. They were fully restored in 1998 including gluing. Caning and finish. The seat was also repaired on each chair where the original wood had become weak. All original wood was maintained. You can see the overlay that was added in one of the photos of the bottom toward the left. The table and 1arm chair and 5 side chairs are all wood and upholstery. Not sure of the wood type. No manufacturer name. Beautifully carved. Table is 54 long without leaves x 42 wide x 30 high. Each of two leaves is 12 wide extending it to a generous 78 inches long. Arm chair is 40 inches high at back. Seat 20 wide x 17 deep. Side chairs 40 in high at back, seats 17 1/2 wide x 15 deep. All seat heights 18 inches. I'm not an antiques dealer. This is a family heirloom from my Grandparents home. I am the second owner. I wish I knew more about it. Could have been made in France or the US. Not sure. It all needs refinishing& re-upholstery. One side chair( photo 9) needs upper accent piece glued in place on the left.
