Danish Art Deco brass table lamp Elegant Scandinavian modern design 1930s
Vintage brass table lamp in patinated brass. Probably from the thirties. Fluted gear-like elements give this a slightly industrial look. Great as a desk lamp or on a side table. This came from Denmark. To the U.S. so I assume it was designed and made in Denmark. Could be Swedish as it is also characteristic of Swedish design of the 1930s. Measures 12 inches to top of base. This has not been rewired for American electrical outlets. If you plan to use it in the U.S.A. you will need to have it rewired. I can also have this done for you. Please inquire. Vintage WW2 Trench Art, Brass, Artillery Shell Vintage Desk, Table Lamp, Working
Beautiful vintage lamp made from a 1944 MK2 40mm Bofor shell with projectile still intact.These shells were used by virtually every combatant in WWII; In the US service they were the main anti-aircraft gun for close in defense! Also used on wheel mounts and the tracked M42 Duster by the army. The base is a US Navy cartridge case plug for a mark 4 mod 1 for 6"47 cartridge case; it is made of bakelite and has engraved on it- 6" MK4 MOD1 LOT KF. CO. 1947 and has an anchor hallmark. These markings are perfectly visible on the assembled lamp; they encircle the base of the shell where it sits on top of the case plug. All totally readable; its like it was made for it. The projectile has a copper(brass) ring on it with MK2-15J LOT 706 stamped on it. Top of projectile is threaded in the center for attaching different tips- ie. armor piercing ... moreetc. On the bottom of the shell it reads RV LOT877 40MM MK2 8-1944 and a hallmark that looks like a capital M stamped over a capital W inside a circle. Overall the lamp is 29" tall. The case plug base is 2.25" tall and 6.75" wide. The shell is 2.25" diameter at bottom and is 16.25" tall including projectile. The shell casing tapers from 2.25" to 1.625" the projectile tapers from 1.564" to 1.314" Please look at the pictures and feel free to ask questions! This is definitely a rare one of a kind item! This 3 arm directoire brass lamp with its original metal shade has a filigree on the top matching the filigree on the brass arm holders. The condition is excellent for its age(1930's- 40's) and is in good working order with all the lights functioning as does the turn on switch. I believe the lamp was made in the United States since the electrical plug is not European and is of the old style from the 30's. 40's, etc. There is some paint missing off the shade. The cardboard tubular sleeves are original but have been covered with a design paper but I am not sure when. I think their original color was an off white. The sleeves are replaceable. This is a magnificent and genuine T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings designed large scale coffee table for Widdicomb Grand Rapids. This coliseum leg table is walnut veneer and finished in original Umber with rare variation brass star inlay. It measures 48" in diameter and 15.25" tall. There is some surface wear on the top and edges and some missing veneer along the bottom of some of the legs. It is however all original and has not been refinished. This is a stunning huge antique glass and gilded bronze oil burning table lamp. it has a very ornate bronze base which is footed with very detailed cut out feet and has two different arms. one arm is extremely large and is very ornate in the shape of a sty;lized griffin with a large head facing the font. the other side is equally as ornate and has a great scrolled detailing. the font is made from thick glass and is a massive font. it is pretty much as big as they get and by far the largest I have ever seen. it has a great shape and holds a bronze oil burner which then holds a glass flute shade. the font alone measures 9 inches tall by 7 1/2 inches in diameter. the font sits onto of the base. the set is in nice shape with a great patina from age. it measures 17 1/2 inches tall by 14 inches wide. Awesome Mid Century Matching Stiffel Table Lamps This listing is for a pair of original Stiffel brass table lamps. Each measures 21 3/4" to the bottom of the socket; 32 1/2" to the top of the finial- including the 9" harp. The finials. Felt bottoms, 3 way switches, sockets and cords are all original. One of the cord ends has been replaced. I dusted these off, but did not use any cleaners or polish on them. They have a warm, soft patina. Some light wear to the finish, which is hard to see with all the reflections. Each has a couple tiny"spots" that may or may not polish out. The harps show some oxidation. Very pretty vintage table lamp. 7" rim. 8 1/2" globe at widest and 6 1/2" tall. All together lamp stands 17 1/2" tall. Globe and chimney are in perfect shape- no chips or cracks. Colors are unusual in darker blue flowers, brown leaves with tan. Brass base has some rust and could be polished more if you want. I only washed and dried it. The base is made of thick brass sheet. 13.25" tall. 10.75" wide top. 7.25" wide base. 10" depth. The lamp is in GOOD USED CONDITION. The lamp does show wear. One of the bolts/nuts on the inside that secures the glass to the brass is missing. There is a small chip in the glass on the front. The brass shows scuffs/scratches. The lamps feature a combination of brushed. Lacquered brass and yellow painted sections which are also lacquered. They are made of cast and solid brass The lamps are a torchiere type and have matching glass diffuser shades. The shades are made by National Home Lamp Council# 955. It's my guess that these are a Parzinger design based on the use of lacquered paint combined with brushed brass. Each lamp measures approx. 35" high from the base to the top of the glass shade. They measure approx. 30" tall from the base to the top of the light socket. The base is 7" in diameter. The on/off switch is a turn style knob on the base. Each lamp ... morehas a 3-way light socket.you can use a standard bulb or 3/way bulb. Each lamp weighs 13 pounds 9 ounces(including the shade) without including packing materials. Condition: The lamps are in very good to excellent working condition with no dents or major flaws. There is some very light patina on a few areas of the lamp which can be seen in the pictures. Vtg PAIR CUBIST Brass/Lucite Table LAMP Skyscraper Baughman~Paul Evans~Jere VGC
Great pair of vintage brass and lucite/acrylic lamps. The base. Finial and stem on the lamp is made of lucite. Body of lamp is brass. Both have been tested and work. Three way switch on them also work. Lamps stand 30" tall to top of finial, 21.25" tall to top of socket. Very nice condition. No chips or cracks to the lucite. Brass is also terrific with exception of very few light scratches and some wear to brass in one area(see photo) Given the age of these lamps I'd say they are really outstanding condition. Lamp shades shown are not included with this auction. I do believe they are original to these lamps, they came with them when I purchased them. Mid Century Modern Milo Baughman Eames Era Brass & Glass 3 Ring Table-Swivel
I have had emails making offers on this table. I appreciate everyone's interest but I am not taking offers. The current price is the lowest this will be listed for. I am planning to take many of my extra mid century items to a antique/outdoor show in the bay area in a couple of weeks. This table will part of the inventory if it doesn't sell on this forum in the very near future. Thank you for your interest. I can't say that this one is a Milo but it sure looks like it. I don't want anyone to get upset with me- so please know you are buying with my"best guess" and that is based on what I see and the other brass one I have. The table is in great condition and is straight and sturdy(no wobble) but does need a good brass polishing to remove some of the surface rust and shine up the brass. I do believe it will shine up well(I am sorry, I used it just like this but I am not picky and I have a million things in much more need of repair) and with a brass finish rub should be great. I didn't want to alter it too much because to some people it is very important that items are not altered.
