It is in the dark reddish brown mahogany stain finish that is really nice. It has notch carved molding all the way around the skirt. The brass hardware is intact on the dove tail drawer. Solid brass table top tray on elegantly carved teak wood stand legs. Rare. Folds
This beautiful Piece was taken from the attic of a 17th century home in historic York South Carolina. I will be listing more awesome items like this from this home in the next few weeks so check back because this home is loaded! This is a 3 1/2 lb solid brass tray or table top with beautiful carved teak wood stand. It is 25" tall and the top is 22" in diameter. Total package weight is 28 pounds so this is going to be big! I have cleaned the top layer of crud off of the top and the final touches with some patina removal and cleaning of the bottom will be a job for its new experienced owner. The bottom folds up and can be adjusted for different leg patterns. The wood needs oiled but is free of rot and otherwise in very good condition. Some of the hinges have missing pins. Not sure of its origin whether it was bought in England or purchased while traveling or living overseas The base folds down and the tray is approx 23" It is very old and the brass has a lot of marks and oxidation(see photos) Im not an expert on cleaning such items so I have left that pleasure for you! Antique Duncan Phyfe Style Round Side Table Tripod Pedestal, Brass Claw Cap Feet
A lovely round Federal style table with a pie-crust top(scalloped on the inner and outer edge of the table top) Mahogany or Rosewood is in wonderful condition. Not sure which wood it is made from. But based on the weight I believe it is mahogany. If it were rosewood it would be even heavier. This one was part of the estate sale from a family that was cleaning out their 3rd generation 103 year old farmhouse. No idea who the actual maker is; is this a Duncan Phyfe original? I don't know; I understand that only a very few original Phyfe pieces(out of the many made) were actually marked. If anyone looking can give me more clues as to whether this piece IS an original Phyfe please do so and I will re-list with an appropriately higher price: Just kidding. Even if it wasn't made by Mr. Phyfe it is still a very old and beautiful solid wood ... moretable. If you can even find a table made from all solid real wood in the stores nowadays you will definitely be looking at a few hundred dollars, minimum. Look closely at the pictures. And note the metal pieces on the underside(pictures#6& 7) that were used in attaching the tripod legs to the spindle. Also take a peek at the screw heads on the underside of the table top(picture#5) this is a pretty good indicator of the age on this piece. The top can be removed from the base by unscrewing in a counterclockwise direction. The base is a tripod(three legs) The foot of each leg has a vintage brass claw cap. Sets of 3 of the new(not vintage) brass claw caps(without legs or a table! were selling on Ebay by another seller for $39.00. At some point in more recent history, someone placed metal taps on the bottom of each foot; it is obvious that these were a much later addition. take a look at picture#8! This is a beautiful. Heavy, well-made old table in great condition. A superb Art Deco/1950's lamp post brass table lighter. i once read that this was made by a German company and then was retailed in the UK by Dunhill. im sure you will know h ow tr ue this is there is a markes mark to the base. it m easures approx 23 cms tall it is in very good condition. However the lighter itself is missing, but i think it is quite a common size so should be easy to replace. The hold measures approx 1.5cm in diam eter. The cap at the top is slightly misshaped. it is beautifully cast it is very detailed. and a real quality item.

The name Calamander comes from the local name. kalu-medhiriya' which means dark chamber; referring to the characteristic ebony black wood. Coromandel wood has been logged to extinction over the last 2 to 3 hundred years and is no longer available for new work in any quantity. Furniture in coromandel is so expensive and so well looked after that even recycling it is an unlikely source. A substitute. Large Vintage-Antique Ornate Embossed India Brass Table Lamp
Listed is a very unusual large table lamp. There are no identifying marks on the lamp. But to me it just looks like India. It seems to be made of brass(not attracted by magnet) It is highly embossed with flowers and vines and other decor. It stands 41" to the top of the shade hanger. It is 30" to top of brass and 13" in diameter. There is no shade included but is equipped with shade hanger. The lamp works and appears to be in good condition. Mid century table décor from an estate sale is a tree with wire trunk and branches with hanging leaves. Appears to be brass but with a gold tone. Base feels like plaster. Wire branches can be distributed as you like. Approximately 9" tall by 9" diameter. Base is about 3" by 3" Rock type lumps around tree trunk are also gold colored. Vintage Solid Brass Fire Extinguisher Table Lamp *** Refurbished***
Bought this at an auction and it was in rough condition so I clean it up. As for working condition it was good. the gauge has little crack in it but not to noticeable. The base has a different color makes me believe it could be copper. The height of the lamp is 27" tall and 6" wide at the base. Elegant Mid-Century Hollywood Regency Braided Rope Brass side TABLE w/ glass top
I inherited the contents of my parent's Brooklyn Heights estate a number of years ago. It represented over 90 years of eclectic collecting from my grandparents and aunt to my parents. I have been selling their jewelry. Decoratives and art collections for a few years and will continue to do so but now we are moving and downsizing. In the next few weeks I will be listing some fine Fantoni, Gambine, Capron and Ackerman pieces, mid-century Italian glass, lighting, victorian, art deco and mid-century decoratives and some exceptional pieces like an Osvaldo Borsoni dining room table, Saarinen chairs for Knoll, Milo Baughman, Danish teak bench, Parzinger and more. I have had the great pleasure of living with and enjoying these pieces over the years. My pictures don't do justice to this classically designed mid-century Hollywood Regency end ... moretable. The frame is a fantastic brass ribbed rope or scales that was designed to flow and coil around itself. The metal coils are very thick metal and extremely heavy. My husband and I bought this wonderful table at an estate sale from a moderne house around 25 years ago. I don't know the country of origin but it says Italy to me. The undulating 3/4" thick glass is cut to flatter the frame and is part of the design. The frame is in excellent condition but could probably use a good dusting. The glass. Though wonderful, has a small(1" chip on the underside of the glass in the corner. Please see photos. The side table is extremely heavy and is an example of finely crafted and designed mid-century design. Bottom line is that this table has great style and I believe to be a collector's piece. Vintage Evans Porcelain And Brass Table Lighter. The actual lighter is brass. And sits in porcelain holder. Approximate dimensions when put together: 3 1/4" across, and 2 3/8" tall. The dimensions of the lighter alone: 1 5/8" across at the widest point, and 1 3/4" tall. The lighter could use a good polishing. The holder has a cork pad on the bottom to prevent scratching your table. There is a painted leaf pattern on the outside. The brass sleeve insert that the lighter rests in needs to have a bit of glue put around the edges. From age or use, it has come loose. It nor the porcelain body are damaged in any way.
