I've had this at least 15 years and used it with a white masonite protector over the top. There are some water stains on the top. One of the oak side caps has a small saw notch in it. The light has very good paint and works OK. The right hand Vemco 4100/30 drafting machine is in very good condtion. A few chips in the paint. It is a 30" machine which is an appropiate size for this board. I am not including any scales, they are availabe on Ebay. The stool has alot of paint worn off on the steel legs. It is the Fred Flintstone stool. Used to have a pad on top. The stool is the right height for most people who would use this table. The bottom of the drafting table is oak and is complete. I had to take parts from another table to complete the hardware on this one. There is one crack which was repaired on one of the leg braces as you can see in the pictures. Glue squeezed out from the crack wh ich is the line you see. The table tilts and can be raised or lowered. To ship this would mean crating it and unfortunately there is no inexpensive way to do this. The chairs are approximately 35" Tall, 17 1/4"W(measured at the top widest part) X approximately 16"L(measured from the front to the rear of seat) The seats have been re-done in a mauve/velveteen type of material. There are a few specks on some of the chair seats, not stains but I think it's the way the velveteen material is. Can't really make out for sure. The chair seats pop out easily, so if you didn't like the color of the material on the seats, would be easy to replace! There is also, an engraved rose/design on the top front part of the chairs. This has been in my family since it was purchased with one owner until I was given the table and chairs. I think the cut of wood is tiger or tiger eye as they call it. It had no top when I got it. The wood is oak and the base and hardware is cast iron. I have the steel clips to attach the top. At some point there was another circular support bar, on the far side. Which has a wonderful carved split pedestal base ... moremade just like the Victorian walnut ones, except that this one is in oak and the base is tiger sawn oak dating from the 1880’s. The table is straight grain oak on the top, with some quarter sawn here and there, and a little bit of ash, which looks a lot like oak. We brought in this table, stripped it completely and refinished it. The table top measures 48 inches round, and it comes with EIGHT table leaves! We skirted all eight of the leaves so there is no ugly gap in the side like most tables have. We re-glued it, sanded, belt sanded, sanded again, stained, multiple coats of sealant hand-rubbed between each coat, many coats of satin sheen moisture proof lacquer hand-rubbed and now it’s all set to go in your home. We’ve even showed it with a set of 18 chairs around it that match perfectly, if you want the complete package. It’s pretty hard to find a matching set of 18 chairs. The table has a really nice rolled skirt with a double groove edge, and the base when open has jewels carved into the columns with empty scrolled carved legs with raised panel sides, and carved berries and nuts. We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique library/entry table! This stunning table, manufactured by the Knoxville Chair and Table Company dates to around 1915. It features French Country design with quarter sawn oak plank top, barley twist legs, and cane insets in the skirted sections. The oak ranges from golden to dark and the graining is exceptional. The table has a single large drawer on the front side with original, ornate, teardrop pulls. The sides and the back of the table repeat the skirted and cane inset design so the table is beautiful from every angle. The bottom of the table features braced legs and center stretcher bar. The table has the original flat screws and bolts still intact. The manufacturer's sticker is fixed inside the drawer and a partial sticker is still attached under the table top.
