The glass balls in the feet measure 3 inches across and the legs. At the widest point, about half way up, measures 3 1/4 inches across. This table is not marked. Signed, dated, stamped or otherwise labeled. There is a small dark stain to the table top that measures approx 4inches by 2 inches. A darker spot next to that as well but not sure what that spot is. Both can be seen in the last picture. There are no major chips. Cracks or other issues to any part of the wood. It is possible this is a Louis F Nonnast table made between 1878-1888. I do not know much about this size. Style or age. If you have any information that may be helpful to identifying this piece. I would very much appreciate dropping me a line or two. Antique Claw Foot Round Oak Pedestal 48 Inch Table This is a beautiful 48 Inch pedestal round oak table. The feet are 4 3 toed claw feet on castors with a solid(non split variety) fluted pedestal in gorgeous oak. The surface of this 48" oak veneer top is in excellent condition with no discoloration or major damage though there is a small chunk of veneer missing. It is not too noticeable and when you are using it you will probably have a table cloth so you wont even see it at all. The entire top might well be oak. They just chose to use quartersawn oak veneer rather than solid oak straight cut. The board that connects the two runners to the base has been replaced. The runners on the right side of the picture stick and do not open easily. But the finish is original to our knowledge(we've owned these pieces for over 40 years) Extending boards are in perfect working order. The table measures 40" wide and just under 64" long. Don't know the exact history of this table. We were told it was originally in a men's store in England. It was in our small gift shop for 12 or 13 years. Magnificent oak Elizabethan style with bulbous legs that are beautifully carved. Has a whole shelf under the table as you can see. The apron of the table is beautifully carved as well. The table measures 8 feet long. 4 feet across and is 30 1/2" tall. There are 6 oak planks on the top of the table and the bottom portion has 4 oak planks. I'm told it is a refectory style table. This table is MAGNIFICENT. Obviously there are scratches from its age but they only add to its beauty. Extremely heavy but the most wonderful thing is this table has wheels so it is not difficult to move it around a room. Pair Antique Oak Matching Table Leaves 48 Inches long !
A nice pair of old oak table leaves. They each measure 48 inches long and are 8 3/16 inches wide. They are nice and straight and flat but. As you can see, need some light re-finishing. The circular stain you see is not a burn but just the bleeding of a rusty old metal can. They each have pegs and holes on the edges for a tight fit. It appears they were made in or sold in an old store in Buffalo. New York. I took a picture of the old label on the back. The edges are a standard beveled edge that are each about 1/2 of an inch wide(see photos) Can be cut to the size you need or used as is. Please do not hesitate to email with questions.

Oscar Wilde A Rare c.1870s Oak& Lead Laboratory Table by Philip Harris& Co Ltd Period: Late Nineteenth Century Provenance: Unknown Date: c.1860-1880 The Top: 24.25 inches square Height: 34 inches The heavy-set English oak carcass with chamfered block legs and undertier shelf. Under a well patinated thick leaded work surface top, with makers ivorine plaque reading‘Philip Harris& co Ltd Complete Laboratory Furnishings Birmingham& Dublin’ survives from 1870s Britain. Remaining in highly desirable original condition. The original leaded top has a wonderful patina, with a host of character blemishes, knife marks and old stains, in keeping with its age and heavy use. The English oak is very sound ... morethough the stain is uneven in places, though the whole remains very sound. There has been no restoration or meddling of any sort. Philip Harris Ltd was a British laboratory supply company with a long history that has now been subsumed into a succession of larger. More anonymous corporations. In its heyday the company was known to all science teachers world-wide as one of the two"first-call" suppliers for the peculiar needs of school science. The company was originally based in Digbeth. Birmingham and started by Thomas Ellis, a Surgeon, in 1817. At the time Philip Harris would have been only 15 or 16 years old and he joined Ellis in 1825. The company traded as a wholesale Chemical Laboratory Company occupying its Bullring site until 1889 when silver nitrate was selling for 9 Shillings per ounce. 4 Wood Feet Legs for Oak Pedestal Table Mission Arts & Craft Antique Furniture
4 wood feet for a pedestal table that I believe are oak but I am not a wood expert so please look at the pictures carefully. Because of the right angle V cut in the heel. I believe these are for a square pedestal which might make them a mission style foot. They measure approximately 1 ⅝" thick and 15 ⅛" long from toe to heel. 3 ⅞" wide at the toe and 6 ¾" at the heel. When mounted to a pedestal, the top of the heel will be approximately 8 ¾" from the floor without casters. They are in fair condition and partially stripped. Here is a terrific solid oak mission style early twentieth century cabinet or side table with cupboard with beautiful paneled doors and side panels. Nice 2 board top and original teardrop hardware, recently imported through Edinburgh, Scotland. This delightful little cupboard stands 29 1/2 inches tall by 22 inches wide by 19 inches front to back. Inside the cabinet the open space measures 23 inches tall by 19 inches wide and 16 inches front to back. This cabinet space is divided by one removable shelf that allows 8 inches clearance below the shelf and 14 1/2 inches above. Overall it is a fantastic antique cabinet and will be a great addition to any home, study, cabin or place of business needing a lovely little mission style oak antique cupboard. TIGER OAK ANTIQUE DINING TABLE / 6 CHAIRS COMFORTABLY SEATS 12 BEAUTIFUL
Up for sale today is a beautiful antique tiger oak dining table and six chairs. This table was purchased in the late 1800's/early 1900's by either my great great grand fa ther or my great grandfather(they had the same name) who lived near Chicago. Illinois. This one comfortably seats 12 and will seat more if you care to get closer. I do not know if the chairs are original to the table. They do match and they are the only chairs I have ever seen with the table, but I was not around in the 1800's. The table is in wonderful condition as it has always been used with the original. Thick table pads protecting it and a table cloth over that. My family ha ve always been non-smokers. So there are no burn marks or yellow marks. The table needs a good cleaning, that is all. The chairs show more wear as they don't have protection like ... morethe ta ble. They are still used daily. The cushions have been replaced over the years and are now a fruit pattern. The last picture is of the store label holding the table for my great great grandfather(or great grandfather) This label is still in place under the table top. The table was purchased at Carson Pirie Scott& Co. This is an expanding table with four 10" leaves for adjusting t he size. At it's smalle st. The table is 54" round. At it's largest. It is approximately 94" long. The pads are made in sections so fit whatever size you wish the table to be. Pictures show the table at its smallest. Its largest, and also with three leaves in place. The mechanics for adjustment work smoothly. There are wheels on the base of the table and it rolls easily. Please look carefully at the pictures. This table is well over 100 years old. In my opinion. It shows very minimal wear for its age, but it is not"like new" Please keep in mind that the chairs, having been used for these many years, show much more wear than the table.
