The glass balls in the feet measure 3 inches across and the legs. At the widest point, about half way up, measures 3 1/4 inches across. This table is not marked. Signed, dated, stamped or otherwise labeled. There is a small dark stain to the table top that measures approx 4inches by 2 inches. A darker spot next to that as well but not sure what that spot is. Both can be seen in the last picture. There are no major chips. Cracks or other issues to any part of the wood. It is possible this is a Louis F Nonnast table made between 1878-1888. I do not know much about this size. Style or age. If you have any information that may be helpful to identifying this piece. I would very much appreciate dropping me a line or two. I really want to keep it but I just don't have a spot for it and this table deserves to be put in a loving space. I purchased it today actually. I bought it from a sweet older couple from New York who now live in Palm Harbor, FL. The husband explained that it was his Grandmother's first then his mother had it. He said his Grandmother got it around the time she was married and he couldn't remember if it was 1897 or 1898. The condition is superior. It has been well cared for for 115 years by the same family. The oak grain is beautiful and the only flaws are: on the bottom of one of the round feet. Someone cut off a section of the very bottom so that it would fit closely next to something.however, it still is level because they cut off only a section, not the entire tip(please see the last pic) The other flaw is that there is a hair line split on the top where the wood has a miniscule separation. I had to inspect closely to find this. This table requires no restoration whatsoever. Has beautiful detail in the grain. Measurements are as follows: Oval Top is 32.75" long x 18" wide 27" tall from floor to top middle decorative shelf is 7.25" wide x 16" long with scrolling lower 2 round shelves are 10.5" in diameter. TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THIS TABLE- IT IS SIMPLY AMAZING& BEAUTIFUL. It measures 48" x 48" in its smallest, non-extended(i.e. shortest form with no leaves) It comes with SIX 12" x 48" leaves which extend the table to 48" x 120" INCREDIBLY. When fully extended. It can reach a whopping 13 FEET 2 1/2" LONG! I am not clear on exactly how old the table is but would estimate 1880- 1900. The Leaves fit perfectly and work well. The Table is in overall BEAUTIFUL condition with a few table top scratches/ character marks(see photos) certainly to be expected due to age and use but nothing effecting the tables beauty. The Tables 6 Legs rest on rolling casters for ease of movement. They ... moreare easily removable or replaceable. The Table is 30" tall and I estimate(just a guess) it weighs. Including the 6 leaves@ 100- 125 pounds. I would say not all of the leaves are original based on grain pattern but it still looks awesome none the less. NOTE: The 2 ornate end leg sets are all one piece and easily removable by 2 bolts. I mention this for a couple of reasons. First. The Leg Sets are reversible and can be used either facing in or facing out. I have take a photo with the legs set each way so carefully examine them so you see this effect. It could be just a matter of personal preference as to how you would want to set it up but it is easier to have someone sitting in a chair at the end of the table with the legs facing inward and additionally there is some nice cared detail to be seen(see photo) when they are in this originally intended position. Also, I can dismantle the table for shipping, cost and safety purposes and it would save some space. A solid oak refectory table with end supports joined by a stretcher. This table was crafted between the 1920's and 1930's with the original finish. There are two drop down leaves on either side of the table. There are six chairs with one being an arm chair. All chairs are solid with tight joints. For sale is a very sharp looking antique oak dinner table. My guess is that its around 100 years old. But still in nice shape. If I were to grade the condition I would give it a B. No major damage but it is nicked up here and there and the leaf inserts should be refinished. Priced to sell with the condition its in for sure. It wouldn't take much to bring this table back up to top quality and that's not even nec. as its very nice and fully functional as is. Solid Oak, nice Queen Anne legs, very sturdy and pretty. Really stands out in person. It stands 28" tall and is 41" wide. Regular length without the inserts is 50" and each insert is just under a foot, so you could go up to 73" long. Here is a dusty old round oak table which I received many years ago from an 88 year old neighbor who said I should use it for the grandkids. They have all grown and now it has been sitting in an unused storage/bedroom for the last few years. I have tried to get into this room to take pictures the best I could. But there is so much stored there that pictures are next to impossible to take. My husband was quite a pack rat before he died and my daughter and grandkids are helping me downsize and get rid of'stuff' This is a very sturdy table on wheels and rolls very quietly and smoothly. SUPERB WALNUT OAK ART DECO ANTIQUE WHEELED RAILROAD SERVING BEVERAGE CART TABLE
We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique(c1920) wheeled beverage serving cart. This wonderful cart is made of walnut with an oak top. According to the previous owner, the cart had been a serving piece on an old passenger railroad. The cart has a center drawer on the upper front. The glass knobs are old and original and feature an incised/ribbed design. The cart has a two tone finish which is quite striking. The oak top is a medium golden brown while the walnut(shelves and legs) is in a very dark finish. There are brass flat screws which are exposed for a"riveted" effect. The top of the cart features these on all sides(photo 5) The cart is wheeled with the original casters in place. The drawer has an old"barn wood" looking bottom with the wood rough hewn. There are several areas of stamped letters and numbers under ... morethe cart with most of them being indiscernible. The cart is stamped"I.C.C.6" very clearly under the middle shelf. I do not know if this is a manufacturer's mark. There is a piece of an old moving sticker still attached as well. This is a beautiful. Antique cart with a sleek and slightly modern design. It is in very good antique condition. It is quite sturdy and the wheels move freely. The wheels do show some age and are pitted from use. There is a very slight water mark on the top but it is not distracting. There is a mark on the lower shelf as well. The wood has some minor chips, but again, nothing distracting. The finish is old and original and has a general"crackled" appearance. The cart measures are follows: The top. Which over hangs the entire piece is 34.75" wide and 19.5" deep(front to back) The shelves are 24.5" wide and 15.5" front to back. The cart stands 29.5" tall. There is approximately 9.5" of visible space between the skirted section of the top and the middle shelf and 7.5" of visible space between the lower and middle shelves. This is for a small table-it is marked berkey& gay and G or C 48 on the bottom-it is about 23 1/4" tall=26" long and 17 3/4" wide-it has been refinished at one time-it is only missing a tiny peg on the bottom of one leg so it seem to not sit flat-but that is easily replaced as they are just on the very bottom of the legs-otherwise it is nice- it has some squares on the top and i do not know if maybe it had been repaired or something-i am selling for a friend of mine so i do not know a whole lot about it as i mostly sell paper and once in awhile a neat collectable-i really do not know how old it is or anything about it- so if someone does and wants to let me know please do- it is a very cute small table-Please e-mail with any questions.
