Early 1900's Emeralite 8734"G" Double-Knuckle Desk Lamp. Made by the H.G. McFaddin Company around 1917. Scarce High Polish finish model. almost 100 percent of the original finish is remaining. All brass construction with iron base weight. Original cloth covered wiring and Bakelite electrical plug. All adjusting screws move freely and lamp adjusts easily. Possibly Edwardian era desk or library table is in excellent condition. I have owned it since 1980 and have not altered the finish. Although it may have been refinished prior to my ownership. This desk is very sturdy. The dimensions are 40" long X 25 1/4" deep X 28 1/4" high. Nice chunky brass hardware is complete and original. This desk is constructed of solid wood.no veneers.which I think is flame mahogany. The dovetailed drawers are constucted of what appears to be bird's eye maple bottoms(which is a very high quality wood to be used on drawer interiors) and oak sides. There is one center drawer and two deeper. More narrow drawers on the right side. Drawers all work smoothly. There is a platform at the lower level of the desk. The four feet are carved animal-type. RARE* ANTIQUE GUSTAV STICKLEY LIBRARY TABLE. ORIGINAL FINISH, GREAT LABEL This is a fantastic antique signed Gustav Stickley library table from the early 1900s. The top measures 48x30 inches. The height is 29 inches, the legs are very thick and measure 3.25x3.25 inches. It has the original Gustav Stickley decal on the bottom, pictured. The finish is a dark oak finish. the boards on top are not splined and do have a little separation inbewteen a couple of the boards which could be fixed easily. This table is estate fresh and we have not done anything to it, we have not oiled it, we did not put anything on it to clean it. It still has a little dusty finish from the attic it came out of and should clean up nicely. The only issue to the table is a 12 inch burn mark on the top, we did picture it and put a ruler next to it to give a size measurement, ... morethe burn does dip a little into the wood. Here is a special opportunity to own a really fabulous early twentieth century American walnut dining table that has a wonderful story and has been in my family since 1979. My husband. Then"my boyfriend" was working construction for a contractor on Long Island for the summer during college that year and when the two of them dug this old table out of a basement there in Rockville Centre, he was lucky enough to have the opportunity to buy it from the owner. He later paid to have it professionally cleaned up including having the top refinished and having a custom table pad made to protect the top as well. For the next 35 years we used this table as our formal family dining table, the centerpiece when celebrating holidays and special events with our three children and many friends over the years. This is a fantastic old wooden side table. One side has faux leather books. The other side has a door that opens. There are small open shelves on both ends. Aged brass paw& claw feet and a beautiful brass pull. I believe this housed an old tube radio at one time as there are two round holes in the bottom for cords or wires. The books read, THE WORKS OF SHAKESPEARE, RADIO ART. The table is approx 27" tall, 24" wide and 15" deep. There is some minor damage to the finish, but does not really detract too much because the finish is speckled and busy. There is a tiny gouge in the bottom of the cabinet door. We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique library/entry table! This stunning table, manufactured by the Knoxville Chair and Table Company dates to around 1915. It features French Country design with quarter sawn oak plank top, barley twist legs, and cane insets in the skirted sections. The oak ranges from golden to dark and the graining is exceptional. The table has a single large drawer on the front side with original, ornate, teardrop pulls. The sides and the back of the table repeat the skirted and cane inset design so the table is beautiful from every angle. The bottom of the table features braced legs and center stretcher bar. The table has the original flat screws and bolts still intact. The manufacturer's sticker is fixed inside the drawer and a partial sticker is still attached under the table top. To the back of the table is an attractive small up-stand. Below the top sits two cock-beaded working drawers. Which are hand, dovetailed and have been constructed from cedar drawer linings(this is a sign of quality) Below sits a lovely moulded lip edge. The table sits on four stunning fluted tulip legs with studded collars. Which is a truly classic design from the William IV period. All in all. This is a very pretty and super quality table.
