PLEASE NOTE- white spots on desk in photos are fresh snowflakes that just started to fall. Desk is stored indoors but photos were taken while moving the desk. Measurements: Approx. 29-1/4" in height. 44" wide at widest part Table Top measures 27-3/4" x 43-7/8" 22" from floor to bottom of drawer legs are 6" wide outside edge of leg to outside edge of other leg approx. 36" shelves on sides have opening approx. 11" high x 24-1/4" wide from floor to bottom of cross pieces between legs is approx. 5-7/8" Handle pulls are original to desk and could easily be changed as one has a screw through front of knob while other is entirely wood front. There are some scratches and dings to wood as can be seen in photos. One rear leg had slight exposure to dampness at one time and has a little swelling. Which could be sanded and finished but I am leaving item in condition as acquired. Dovetailed drawer has had nails added on both sides for added strength at some point. The desk is constructed of steel and has heavy brass(does not accept a magnet) around the bottom of the legs. The desk was produced by Art Metal and manufactured in Jamestown. NY. It is dated 11/26 in both the drawer and on the inner section of the desk. The desk retains the original, chocolate brown paint on the sides, front and the back. The top has no paint(maybe originally designed this way) and is a silver, steel color. Each exterior side of the desk features a large, stenciled, Art Deco styled medallion. I think this was probably added to the desk at some point and do not think it is original. It does give the desk a unique look, however. The desk was made for reading or writing. Huge Antique Library Table with Ivy Pedigree
Our family member went to the University of Pennsylvania and purchased this 8 foot table 25 years ago at a UPenn Library Sale. It was used by the college students for many years. We estimate it's age at over 40 years minimally. We have no more room as it's huge. Sturdy and heavy. As you can see from the pictures, it has plenty of scratches dings and gouges which we were told not to sand out to maintain it's value. The three drawers are functional though the old keys are gone. Makes a great work table. Distressed dining room table etc. No delivery as it's seriously heavy.

Offering a spectacular set of antique furniture dating to the 1880's most likely French or Belgian. Consisting of a handcarved walnut library table with secret interior storage space, and a likewise hand-carved walnut hutch reaching a height of 7' at the top of the crowning jester. Both are one-of-a-kind, hand carved, and the carvings themselves are of a highly skilled nature and very sophisticated. The wood is identical and the carvings are consistent from one piece to the other. They came from an old San Francisco estate and have been in our home for over 30 years. Dimensions: Height: 84" Width: 60" Depth: 20" In addition to the laughing jester looking over the top, the hutch is flanked by two dancing 16th Century male figures, has a bas relief carved panel depicting Joan of Arc and her army at the center(which supports ... morethat assumption it is French) and each cabinet drawer in the lower section has a figure, one male and one female, talking to each other. Substantial storage space inside. Original finish. The hutch is dismantled very easily. The upper section of shelving lifts off and the two flanking dancing figures are set and not glued with dowels top and bottom. The bottom section is much heavier and does require movers experienced with moving pianos and antiques to transport. Though the cracks are invisible to the eye, the variegated coral-cream-pink marble counter top must be carefully wrapped to prevent losses when its being moved. While in place, the marble is quite stable and as I said you don't see the cracks. Of course, you can easily have a marble of choice made for this piece at a very reasonable cost. The table is flanked by four carved rams heads and lighter decorative columns"support" the center. The entire top of the table(about 6" thick) is removable for transport, but the very top section itself comes off to reveal secret storage sections. The wood is cut in such a way to reveal the large flaking pattern found in white oak(Quercus alba) that has been quarter sawn. Once stained, the wood has a rich golden color as seen in the photos. The table measures about 26 inches wide, 42 inches long, and stands about 30 inches tall. There is a drawer on one side and a shelf across the bottom. There is a burn mark along the edge as shown in the 5th photo, but otherwise the table is in good condition for its age. antique empire oval mahogany library table great grain
this is a gorgeous antique empire mahogany oval library table. Unfortunately you can't tell it from my pictures. they seem to worse than usual for me. at any rate, the light in the room is not good so i had a terrible time getting the camera to focus and then they were either too light or too dark. the bottom line is that the table is much much nicer in person. it is oval as you see, 46 inches long, 32 wide, and a bit less than 30 tall with casters. it has one drawer that is hard to see when closed, the front being contoured to match the contoured skirt. it is a great table and rolls easily on the casters. it has a sweet pedestal and the empire scroll feet. the feet of course are veneer, the rest of the piece is solid mahogany i believe. i will check it again to make sure and if otherwise i will add that to the listing when i get back ... moreupstairs to take a peek at it again. i bought it about 2 years ago and stuck it upstairs and forgot i had it. someone came by the house and had to sell it so they said, but not too bad for what i had to pay. they were not easy to deal with. the grain is just outstanding, however the pictures do not do it justice either. it has a couple of little dents that are not worth mentioning, one next to the drawer which can be seen in the pictures and maybe another little ding or two but maybe not. any tiny impertections do not distract from its beauty or function. it is as solid as it can be and does not wiggle, wobble, or have any loose pieces, the veneer is great and overall the table is in outstanding antique condition. it can be picked up at my home and shipped. i can help arrange shipment if that would be helpful. also i will be glad to do layaway on it should anyone be interested in doing such. good luck.

Early 1900's large Mission Oak library table from the Arts& Crafts Period. Measures 60-3/4" long. 30-1/2" deep, and 31-1/4" high. All quarter sawn tiger oak in its original finish and very sturdy. No manufacturers label or mark that I can find. Has dowel pinned joints and the lower stretcher board is mortised through(as seen in the closeup photos) The long spindled ends and overhanging top give it a great look. Made in England around the year 1900 of fine mahogany wood, this desk would be a wonderful addition to any home! Fine black leather adorns the top. This leather is new to the desk having recently been replaced. Gold tooling borders the edges of the leather providing ... morea nice contrast to the wood. All four Queen Anne style legs are the perfect proportion for the desk and connected with a decorative apron in the front. Beautiful brass handles were used on the two drawers. The drawers are constructed with hand cut dovetails giving a glimpse of the skill and quality of construction that went into this antique Queen Anne desk. Finally. A fully finished back allows you to place the desk anywhere in your room. Overall this desk is in very good and sturdy condition. The front right foot has a good bit of wear at the bottom as shown in the photos. There is an age separation on the back and two very small ones on the top. Minor wear in the form of tiny marks are present on the piece as well and help to give it character. The height from the floor to the bottom of the desk is 21.5″ except where the decorative apron comes down which is 19.75″ This front right leg has some wear by the foot. The finished back has one small age separation. The shaped apron extends around the sides as well. Both sides look great! The black leather makes a wonderful writing surface for this desk. Antique Doten Dunton Desk Library Table Solid Wood Original
5 feet wide x 3 feet deep the height from floor to top is 30 1/2 inches. From floor to bottom edge of drawers is 25 1/2 inches has a small phone connection box inside on bottom left side. Can be seen in pic, no wires has scratches and other surface issues throughout; two indentations on front top right corner. Can be seen in pic, I do NOT know if the white spots on inside of right side are paint or something else that will wash off there are NO drawer'pull' type hardware. But looks as if it had it at one point has two small drawers on each side with the'wood burned' imprint inside; the larger drawer in the center has the paper label underneath has 2 pull out writting/work surfaces on each side above the small drawers. Left one has a piece of wood broken off, can be seen in pic has small brass pieces on the bottom of each leg. ... moreI think all four are there(sorry it is hard to tell and my back is out so I couldn't bend down to check each leg) needs a very good cleaning but otherwise still a beautifull piece under all the dust/dirt have NO idea what type of wood it is made out of not sure if this is considered a desk or library table. 19 1/2 wide x 30 inches high and 9 feet 6 inches long no markings other that the black ink stamp shown'dh 128' has scratches. Corner joint on bottom is wide dove-tail. Each of the eighteen drawers have a solid Oak front with secondary solid wood bottom and sides. Hardware is hooked handles/label holders on drawer fronts. These label holders allow you to name the contents inside the drawer. Some of the drawers have an adjustable plate that can slide to separate one area from another.
