Description of item for sale: We bought this antique table in Flanders(Belgium) The entire base of the table is genuinely old(1800's) and the top is more recent. We were told that the base without a top was salvaged from a monastery in Ghent. A top was then fabricated for it using the traditional technique: solid oak planks joined and then fastened to the base using wood blocks that allow for top shrinkage/expansion. The system of 6 legs combined with strong stretchers make this table very sturdy. It is in very good antique condition with no significant damage. All of the woodwork is straight and unwarped and there is no woodworm damage. There is just a little dry rot and some chipping on the bottom of two of the legs(photos) that has no effect on the table's stability or appearance. We are pleased to offer this INCREDIBLE set! This offering features 8 pieces of ORIGINAL. Antique, French Country(Brittany) carved wood. The set includes 5 dining chairs, 2 piece hutch and buffet, and exceptional slide or pull out leaf dining table. All of the pieces feature twist leg design. The chairs have carved figural backs. The buffet features a center, carved figural feature with two side compartments. The leaded glass front hutch features two center panels of green stained glass with gold leaf painted figures. The hutch sits freely on top of the buffet with no attachment screws. Ornate hardware and notched, carved details are also present on the buffet and hutch. The hutch and buffet doors retain the original locks and there is one original key that opens and locks them all. The table top is held in place with a large dowel or peg ... moreand lifts completely off to reveal the intricate workings of the slide-out extension leaves. The table has a carved wood stretcher that has been carved to fit securely.it is not attached with nails or screws. The chairs have old, red leather or vinyl covered seats. The set is in remarkable condition for its age. There is expected age and wear to the table top. There is a small area that has been filled with wood putty at some point(see picture 12) The table top could be lightly sanded and varnished and it would look practically new. It is quite stunning as it is because the antique character is striking. The extension side leaves slide easily and are working properly. There is one old peg under the table top that is missing but the one remaining holds the top quite securely. The chairs are very sturdy and the leather/vinyl coverings are free of rips. Tears, etc. The seat springs are in good condition as well. The padding is worn and you can feel the bounce of the springs when you sit on the chairs. ANTIQUE Farm Table Butchering Meeting Picnic Wonderful Craftmanship
The craftsmanship is wonderful on this old farm/butchering table. As I cleaned off the cobwebs and took photos. I was amazed at the detail that went into it. I do not know how old it is, but am thinking it could well be prior to 1900 but it may have been made later. The size is 29.5" wide by 8' It could easily be used as a picnic table. The legs at each end are hinged with bracing boards. Also hinged, coming down from the center. There is a very long bolt/screw that goes through the brace board, bends to run along side of it and goes through a hole in the leg where a wing nut holds it in place. A steel plate is around the hole so that it will not wear the wood. The brace boards lay in beveled wood block holders. It looks like the original color was the awful brown of the era and then the top was painted white at some time. The legs ... morehave dome damage/wear on the bottom but has been used for years as a storage table. The rest of the table is good although well used. I am selling this as pick up only but would consider shipping if someone will tell me a reasonable method to ship it. I have never shipped anything this large. Did not weigh it but a strong man can pick it up and carry it. More photos are available upon request.

All the salvaged lumber in this table is from the same barn in Warren co. new jersey. the legs were vertical support posts. the aprons were soffit boards. Antique 8' Harvest PLANK BOARD Wood Farm Table RARE PRIMITIVE DOVETAILED CORNERS
Offered for sale is what is most likely a ONE OF A KIND 8' harvest table. The table was purchased at an estate auction so unfortunately there is no provenance as to the date but one can assume it is most likely from the early 1900s or even the late 1800s. It features 3 knotty pine planks on top that have lots of character. They all have maintained their form very well. It is most likely because one point someone either sealed it or refinished it and it looks great! The table has a bright golden oak with a red shade to it. Depending on the screen you are using the color could drastically change. Our PC shows the buffet lighter and duller than it is but on the mobile app they appear accurate. There are a couple small cracks at the end but nothing is affect. That and other condition issues have been described in the item condition section ... moreso please look through that if you haven't already. It is a surprisingly light but sturdy table and is assumed that with the planks being pine that the base is too. This is great because if you need to move it around you don't have to assemble a team of people to move the table like you would with a solid oak table this size! The main thing that makes this table unique and most likely one of a kind is the corners of the table. Every antique farm table or reproduced table with reclaimed wood has your turned legs showing on the corners and the side fascia board butts into the corner. There are a couple we have seen that wrap the post and just have one board nailed into the edge of another. Whoever made this table took a very creative approach and HAND CUT DOVETAIL JOINTS to cover the posts. Which were notched in to accommodate the boards. You can look at every corner and see they are all different and some with the cut marks going past where they should. WHAT A FIND! Not only is this extremely unique to find in this(or any antique) table but the dovetail design and the nails into the post almost assures you that the corners will not move around or come apart! American Scrubbed Pine Antique Hutch Table Rotates on pins into chair form Probably Pennsylvania c. 1860-80 Item# 130010MCA26 This is a wonderful work from the late 19th Century. Crafted in the Mid-Atlantic states- probably Pennsylvania c. 1860-80. It features a large scrubbed pine top, well worn and full of character, this dovetailing onto the large shaped cleats running perpendicular to the frame; holes in the cleats correspond to holes in the frame, through which original turned pins are inserted and allow the table top to rotate smoothly and transform the piece into a bench. This feature allowed the table to be stowed against the wall as a functional storage and seating device when not in use, then to be pulled out and enjoyed with guests when company is visiting; much in the same spirit of practicality that inspired the tilting tea tables, ... morethe hutch table found great popularity in the Mid-Atlantic and New England states for two centuries. This piece is almost certainly c. 1860-80, the circular saw marks on the original drawer bottoms suggestive of a post-1840 origination. The entire frame is through-tenon construction, locking the pine together with an incredible strength and sturdiness. Two lipped drawers slide in and out of the seat, these hand dovetailed front and back with chamfered bottoms that slide into rabbets along either side and are tacked twice in the back with square iron nails. Identical oxidized and rusted nails are found in consistent form along the back of the case under several layers of paint. The surface is very attractive. A later refinish that remains in excellent condition throughout; the top was left untouched. Antique Farm Harvest Dining Table Wide Two Board Top
For your consideration is this great looking farmhouse harvest table made from reclaimed lumber. I built the table about 15 years ago and now that we are in a different home I need a different sized table. Thus this beauty is for sale. I turned the legs out of a vintage gymnast balance beam I salvaged some years ago from a school building being razed. The skirt and top is antique barn wood acquired from a barn loft circa 1880's. The two 15" plus wide boards have bread board ends with hand wrought square nails. The table base is mortise and tenoned and pegged with hand cut square pegs. As you can see from the photos I picked out lumber with beautiful character, like the raised grain on the skirt boards and the heavy wear on the top edges. One of a kind table I am going to hate to see go! Overall the piece measures 30" tall x ... more31 1/4" wide x 87 1/2" long. The legs are 4 1/2" at the widest point. Description of item for sale: This antique table dates to the early/mid 1800's. It's a classic Flemish style table made from thick. Heavy oak throughout. The top is nearly 2" thick. With it's weight and sturdiness, this table would make a beautiful kitchen island: the surface could be raised with spacers either between the top and base or under the feet. The table is in very good antique condition with damage only on one trim section of the skirt(see photos) Of course it is rustic and there are numerous small nicks, minor discolorations, cracks and scratches. Awesome One of a Kind Large Old Antique Primitive Home Made Farm House Table This table was purchased by me at a local old farm estate in the North Georgia Mountains. I found it in the back of a barn. It was painted a light green and was being used as a work shop table. It was love at first sight but the old green paint was chipping and did not go with the decor in my home so I had it stripped and refinished to its beauty today. Most of the wood on the table is Oak. There are 3 boards out of 16 boards that make the table top that are another type of wood. I'm thinking maybe it's cherry but I am not a wood expert. The table has Queen Ann style legs. Legs and skirt are painted a barn red color with the top being stained. This table is very solid and sturdy. You can stand on it and walk on it. It is solid as a rock. Pegged. 4 top boards, sits 30 inches from ground, 65 inches long, 36 and half inches wide. Table shows some wear. Looks like cup stains in two spots, some fading in spots, all can be fixed easily, being sold as found. I had this table checked by three people. Two said its old and has great character, the other said it could be a composite piece. A composite piece is when someone takes old wood and recreates a piece to look as if it was build 150 years ago. I personally think its primitive and you can express your opinion. It has a fifth leg as pictured in the center to administer weight evenly when leaves are inserted. The measurements when leaves are down is 41 1/2" W x 25" L x 30 1/2" T. With the drop leaves extended it is 41 1/2" W x 52 1/2" L. It has minimal wear to finish from practical use, it looks as though it has been refinished. Great set of very old farm table legs! The dimensions are 28 3/4 in. length and the square section at the top is 2 1/4 in. The black finish is most likely well aged shellac and is easy to remove. Antique Pine 1800's Primitive Farm Table with Drop Sides and Drawer
This antique pine farm table measures 76" long. 47 1/2" wide(31 1/2" wide with sides down) 29 1/2" tall from floor to table top, 22 1/4" distance from floor to bottom of apron. It is strong. Sturdy, solidly constructed with a rustic knotty top, time worn dings, scratches and age gaps appropriate to its age. It has turned legs and wood slides in the base to hold the sides in place when they are extended. The top and base have been'married' You will often find old farm tables where the pieces have been married together. The bases had to be replaced because the legs were placed in sugar water to prevent ants from coming on to the table. Thus causing the legs to deteriorate. This is a telltale sign that the table is truly old and authentic. There is a drawer for silverware that is accessible when the sides are ... moreraised. This is a unique and interesting table with lots of character-it has the original finish which has worn over the years and can be left in its original state or refinished if desired.
