One of the supports that holds one of the drop leaf sides up is broken away from the bottom, and needs to be screwed back in. This is the only real problem with the table. It is a great size, that would fit nicely into a smaller space, as well as being useful in any room, with its drop leaf design. The table stands 27.5” tall, with the bottom platform of the table being about 8.5” high, the table is 27.5” deep, is 17” wide with the leaves down, and about 39” wide with the leaves up.

Antique Salesman sample mahogany drop leaf table Empire child’s furniture
This is an empire style drop leaf table that was either a salesman display piece or a childs. The table is made of mahogany and is 15 ½ inches high. 20 inches deep, 28 ½ inches across open and 12 ¾ inches across closed. The drawer is dovetailed and the bottom is hand chamfered. The nails are hand made. We believe the table dates to around 1820. It has wear on the top and a scratch on one of the leaves. The leaves work properly. The shipping cost is expensive due to the oversize of the box needed to pack the table.

Up for sale is a Mahogany Drop Leaf table with 5 chairs. Which is fully functional, but does have scratches and areas that could be restored to it's natural state. We purchased this table when we were first married which has been 35 years ago. It was purchased from an area gentleman and had been passed down to him from his grandmother, which at the time, he was in his late 40's when we purchased. So this table does have some age. It is fully functional, has beautiful detailing, and there are no problems in the sliding of the leafs and legs to turn it into a large dining table. That arm is not included. It is from a Singer treadle table from the early 1890's. This would typically be with a model VS2. 15 or 27. The style had machine heads were mounted on top with a bonnet(coffin) to cover it. The heads did not tuck into the cabinets like all newer styles. The wood has dark finish with aged scuffs. Scratches and wear. There are a couple heavy scuffs. It’s a good part if you are doing a restoration or if you are missing yours. There is a wedge of wood on the bottom that would lock the cast iron support into place to hold the table up. It includes all original mounting screws and the hinges are in good working condition. You are bidding on a beautiful antique dining room table from the mid-late 1800's. I believe this is a mahogany dropleaf table from the Empire period(circa 1860) Measures 29" high by 40" long. There is a leaf that hangs on each side each measuring 15 1/4" Each leaf is held up by a wooden swing arm that folds out from the center of the table. Table is on a 20 x 22" pedestal base with metal wheels. When leaves are closed. The top measures 40" x 22 1/4" actually 23 3/4" with the edges of the leaves) or 40" x 52 3/4" when open. Antique Double Drop Leaf Table 65" - 101" with 6 Matching Chairs
This is an antique double drop leaf dining room table which was professionally restored a few years ago in San Francisco. It has two hidden drop leafs which are cleverly hidden inside the table. Without the leafs it is 65" long. With first leaf it extends to 83" and with the third leaf it extends to 101" It is 41 1/2" wide. It comes with 6 matching chairs which were professionally reupholstered recently. Hi. This is an excellent primitive antique drop leaf side table. I believe this table would have been used as a work table in the kitchen of a very small house or cabin. Circa should be early 1800's but could be earlier? It's a high table and with the leaves up.it could be used with chairs. The wood looks to be Butternut with wonderful thick hand turned legs mortised and pegged and porcelain wheels. Charming primitive worn wormy top that measures 41 3/4 inches across with leaves up. It stands a 29 inches high, 24 3/4 deep and 20 3/4 inches with leaves down. This table has been professionally refurbished with the integrity of the antique piece in mind. I bought this lovely table here in Williamsburg from a woman whose mother was English and who had brought this table to the US with her when she emigrated. the pictures just don't do it justice. And the size is wonderful- when leaves are down, the table is only 10" wide, when leaves are up the table dimensions are 41" x 25" Table height is 30 inches. The oval is a wonderfully elongated- an unusual shape. It is really a lovely table. One of the reasons I bought this table is its size- it can tuck away anywhere. Beautiful Antique Drop Leaf Expandable Kitchen or Dining Table. Solid Oak. Early American farm table. This is an amazing table built for any size room. It is a drop leaf table. Can be a table for two with leaves down. With leaves extended it sits four comfortably. I dont have extension leaves. But the middle opens to accept leaves and accommodate a large dinner party. It has a fifth leg as pictured in the center to administer weight evenly when leaves are inserted. The measurements when leaves are down is 41 1/2" W x 25" L x 30 1/2" T. With the drop leaves extended it is 41 1/2" W x 52 1/2" L. It has minimal wear to finish from practical use, it looks as though it has been refinished. The hinges are not original to the piece, but function perfectly. The casters seem to be original on the legs. There are two latches ... moreunderneath to keep both sides closed. It has marks, mars in wood from previous use that add to its character. It is a very solid piece.

Has the original scuffs and scratches under the varnish on top, underside old paint remains can be seen. Few screws where replaced on hinges. It measures 30 1/2" tall by 20 1/4" deep by 35 1/2" wide with the leafs up and 19 3/4" wide with the leafs down. The top. Here is a great drop leaf table that either is for dolls or a salesman's sample. It is made of fruit wood with a walnut color. The measurements are 9 inches high. 14 inches with the leafs up, 7 inches across with the leafs down. The table opens up by lifting the leaf and turning it around and pulling the support beam out. This table is in very good shape there are a couple of small light scratches. The leafs are hinged. The turned legs are pegged on all four sides.

It comes with two long drop leaves that are 16 inches long and all original condition. It is truly a period table from the 1860s. The table when it is closed up is 40 inches long. 22 inches deep and 29.5 inches high. When you take the two 16 inches leaves up and flip them up in place it becomes 52 inches deep and 40 inches long. The finish on the table is original believe it or not and shows minor ring marks here and there from plant pots. On the empire diamond column traditional jelly roll footed base with the ogee molded edges on both ends. It has solid mahogany leaves. One side is unbelievably straight given the age and the other side has the typical bow or curl to it where it is warped slightly on the leaf and is very useable. When it is flipped down you will not see it and that is how most people use this type of table. It is in the old original finish and has never had any refinishing done on it. The finish is amazing for the age. There are edge marks of veneer missing that we will touch up. It will cost $285 to have this drop leaf table shipped within our normal shipping zone. This table shows evidence of being painted at least twice(green, white) and refinished to bare wood with numerous holes and gouges filled. The table still has the extension rails but since there are no leaves the table sides are secured together with metal braces. The original drop leaf supports were replaced with other antique drop leaf supports. The table apron and extension rails are secured to the underside with metal braces. Antique Wood Drop Leaf Table Salesman Sample Doll Furniture Table c1920 This was quite an exciting find– an antique miniature drop leaf table– these don’t come up that often. It measures 6 ⅜” wide(out to the hanging sides) x 10 ⅜” long and is 6 ⅜” tall and is 13” wide with sides up. The tapered legs measure ⅜” at the top– ¼” at the bottom– and are 6” long– and the wood skirt is 1 ⅜” tall. I do not know what type of wood this. NOTE: I did replace one of the hinged holders on the side and replaced the old steel screws that were in this with brass. The finish though is all original and all I did was apply lemon oil as the wood was quite dry. If you look closely at the photos you will see cut nails holding this together.
