WCAU, and KYW among others and a LOUD slot as well. There is a gorgeous salmon colored bakelite dial center that rotates back like an old rotary style telephone would when dialed. Slight wear and"crazing" on the veneer finish but all still intact. Philco name appears bright and in gold lettering. I don't know how to operate or test this radio so I do not know if it works or not. The inside looks almost new and appears to have all pieces intact and undamaged. Berkey and Gay Furniture antique buffet cabinet and console
Up for auction are a buffet cabinet and console set made by Berkey and Gay Furniture company. Both in nice condition. I purchased this cabinets second hand one year ago with another B&G piece. It is too big for our house, so we are selling it. Manufacture date unknown, but I suspect late 1800's to early 1900's based on several similar examples I found on the Internet. Cabinet and console seem very solid. The cabinet is extremely heavy. Drawers and doors all work smoothly. The door on the left has a hairline fracture line(see third picture above) I cannot determine if this occurred naturally or as a result of some other damage. It does not appear to have been repaired by any method that I can determine. But I am also not an expert in furniture repair. The console matches the cabinet in ornate detail. Appears to have been manufactured ... moresimilar in age. The buffet is 8' long. The console is 4' long. These are very nice pieces with some small blemishes. Gorgeous antique table with hand-carved women. Not sure when it was made. The top does have a mahogany veneer. We think the screws are machine made but not really sure. Not sure about a lot of things on this table other than the uniqueness of it with the women. There is some water damage on the top I tried to show the damage with the picture next to the window. This is an early. UNMARKED& RARE, marigold carnival glass piece from the early 1900's. It is a ruffled edge bowl with a collared base, and is in the HOLLY pattern by FENTON. It has superb iridescence, with NO chips or cracks. There are a few internal air bubbles captured during it's manufacture and some minor scuffing of the iridescent finish that has occurred over time. It is a beautiful piece that has survived the ages and is a fine example from possibly the most renowned maker of fine glass in the 20th century. Offered is an antique low fluted console bowl with a very striking matte green glaze. From an estate sale. The owner indicated it was her grandmothers and at least 90 years old. I've tried to research the piece, however it remains a mystery to me. The bowl is weighty, with a thick and variegated matte green glaze typical the finest of American Art Potteries. The form is reminescent of Fulper#654 or their oval console bowl. There is definitely one and probably two marks on the bottom, however they are unable to be read under the thick glaze. The bowl measures 15 3/4 inches wide and stands 2 1/2 inches tall and has stilt marks visible on the bottom.
