Vintage Antique 1942 Zenith Console Short Wave Radio Model 10S690
This is a decent looking vintage Zenith 10S690 short wave/phono console type player. The radio works but the tuner string snapped and you can not change stations with knob. The phono works but will need a new or rebuilt drive wheel to keep proper consistent speed control. The phono is a VM four speed Triomatic with a working cartridge. There are a few scratches in the wood- work but nothing major. The cloth is intact and all tubes are in place and work. I do get some stations but I cant change with the dial. I am selling this unit as is with no returns. Only local pickup is available. I am selling this radio as is with no returns.

SUPERB CARVED OAK ANTIQUE HALL TREE OR CONSOLE MADE IN ENGLAND
This is a superb carved oak hall tree made in England. It has the original hooks and drip tray. There is a carved lions head to the center drawer which is a glove box.Either side of the top there are carved scenes with people in there, there is a top which comes off which is also heavily carved. It has the original beveled mirror which is in good condition. This is far better than the pictures suggests. Its very heavy and solid. Measurements are 90 high 15 deep. 48 wide.

Antique Silvertone vintage tube radio in wood console restored and working
Up for auction is a 1937 Silvertone antique tube radio model 4789 in a medium dark walnut console with vertical wood grill bars. Wrap around layered top, upper slide rule dial, Teledial and a magic green eye. This is an 8 tube AM/SW/Police radio with four rotary controls for on/off/volume. Tone, band selector and tuning. Radio was fully recapped. Tubes tested and replaced as needed. New dial lights. Power cord, external antenna and new bright magic eye tube were installed. Chassis was cleaned and controls lubricated. AM reception is loud and clear. SW is not too strong(picks up a little bit late at night and may benefit from larger outside antenna) No activities on Police band. Magic eye is kind of lazy and does not respond to tuning. It just stays open and looks pretty. Cabinet was cleaned. 18th century Italian marble top console with paw feet. This console measures 61.25 inches wide at the top and 64.50 inches wide at the front feet. It is 30.25 inches deep and 38 inches high. The bottom shelf curves in to 11.5 inches deep at its center. It is 30.5 inches from the floor to the underside of the top skirt. The original marble is 1.75 inches thick. And shows some use marks and minor chip repairs commensurate with its age. The console is in excellent overall condition. This console is VERY restorable. The radio works and sounds great. The phonograph plays and seems to have very good rubber wheels playing all four speeds well. There are small issues that would need to be resolved but this is worth the effort. This piece stands 48 1/2" tall and is 27 1/2" wide and 17 1/2" deep. The radio has all its knobs and pulls in stations fine. The volume works but does not completely cut off so there is an issue there. The tuning string is broken so that needs to be replaced. Offered is a 1926 Airline"Roamer" console battery radio. This set is complete with tubes(5) Dials and knobs. It opens like a desk in the front and the top is also hinged and opens. This is an historic and very desirable radio since it was the very first console ever made by RCA. It measures an impressive 50 inches tall x 25 inches wide x 19 inches deep. Tilting the front panel forward reveals the 6 finger sized UV-199 tubes. Inside is a large horn that leads to the grill. The bottom portion contains an antenna that is adjusted by a dial. This radio is untested. It has a very nice original finish and both the top and bottom panels for the back. There is a minor flaw on the front upper left corner where the wood took a hit and was cracked pointing slightly downward and there is a dent in the wood at the top just behind the banged corner. We have a great find. RARE Antique Chickering Piano. This Piano is considered a Consolette at size 38" 39" It has a number 170021 on the inside back plate with Chickering Metal Stamp Established 1823. Also a number is seen on the inside wood close to the keys. I think it's number 3321 but not sure. It measures 38" tall x 62" long x 25" deep and comes with it's matching bench that measures 19" tall x 34" long x 15" deep and has a fabric top. It has 88 total keys and 3 foot pedals. It still has very good sound. All keys play but a couple of the keys are chipped. About 4 keys have lag. They don't stick completely but are slow to raise back up. The foot pedals work fine. I have not plugged It in because i was told It could be a fire hazard due to the difference in voltage; i don't know how accurate that is but I've been scared to try it. This radio was purchased by me approximately 10 yrs ago from an antique auction in Indiana. It came from an expansive radio collection owned by a gentleman in Arizona after his passing. The radio was driven down to Charlotte. NC for me by one of the auctioneers who was attending a vintage radio conference a couple months after the sale. I located ... morea local vintage radio technician who performed about $400 worth of chassis restoration- I will try to find the receipt for that. Although it does not get a lot of playing use. I do turn it on and listen to a ball game or try and find some classical music from time to time. It has multiple radio bands and everything works fine as far as I know. This is 1930s or 1940s hi fidelity. It will not sound as good as your modern hi-fi equipment. But I'm sure you realize that. What I love about this radio is the cabinet- to me it is a wonderful piece of deco styling using beautiful hardwoods which just are not utilized any longer for their scarcity. You can't help but imagine what it was like in the day where a family would listen to radio programming from that era. I always look for the console radio when I'm watching old movies. I have not refinished it one bit. Save for an new grille netting which was chosen by the vintage radio technician- the original one could not be salvaged. I carefully cleaned. I have no clue as to whether or not this still functions and may need to be restored. It has FM. BC, SW1, SW2, and phonograph. Complete with interior lighting in both cabinets it is set up so that when you open the door the lights automatically come on. Not sure if lights still function because I would not risk plugging it in and blowing a fuse or damaging the unit. A STUNNING PAIR OF ANTIQUE FRENCH ORNATE GILT BRONZE CONSOLE OR FURNITURE LEGS
FATIGUED FRENCH FINDS This is a pair of simply stunning antique French bronze legs for a console or furniture. They are in the Rococo style and are dripping with shells. Acanthus leave, oak leaves and other organic embellishments. They are hollow in the centre but very heavy. Each leg weighs approximately 2.800kgs. Each one is surmounted by a square piece of wood with a wooden dowel peg protruding from the top. One of the pieces of wood has a crack in but nothing serious and you may wish to re-finish the wood as there are scratches to the surface. At the narrow end of the leg there is a large solid bronze fixing plate with two screw holes. One of these plates has been bent slightly and will need straightening. They really are a stunning pair and could be used in a number of ways. Here’s an antique 10 Cent Jennings Sun Chief TIC-TAC-TOE Console Shot Machine. I purchased this fully functional slot for my collection in 1987 in un-restored condition. The machine’s mechanism has a smooth action and pays out as it should. Its wood console cabinet features ash tray. Beverage holder, glove shelf and foot rest. The instruction sheet located on the metal back cover is dated 10-48 as pictured. The back cover is without its lock and there are no keys with this sale. The overall condition of the nickel plating is very good, in my opinion, with some condition issues. Please note the pitting in the nickel plate running up the right top edge on the slot casting as pictured. In addition, you can see some pitting located on the slot arm. You may find some other minor ware to the nickel plate but as seen in the pictures provided nothing ... morethat effect the general overall condition of this wonderful slot. The front plate is very clean with no dings in the upper level around the coin slot and coin window area. The console cabinet is in very good condition with some pitting to its nickel plated ash tray. There is some scuffing to the black portion of the cabinet around the area of the foot rest. The metal protective covers at the bottom of the cabinet display some scratches and rust and will benefit from a good cleaning. ALL COINS will be REMOVED from the machine after purchase and before pick-up. To be clear, this sale does not include the coins pictured in the Jackpot Area nor any coins in the machine itself. This is a really neat piece…originally used to sand dovetail drawers. Now converted to a console table. The top is chestnut, reclaimed from a butler’s pantry in a Frank Furness designed home in Philadelphia(who’s owners inexplicably decided to tear out the butlers pantry which was gorgeous and all original, sigh) The top is 17″ wide. 53″ long, and is approx 31″ off the floor. I struggled with coming up with dimensions for the top…it could be another foot or so longer and still looks good, so if you need it longer contact me. This set was dismantled and was going to undergo a restoration but the repairman passed away before work could get underway. Three of the feet have lost sections of the ball feet but note two are included and the third and a replacement could be made for the third one. Very tall console table and matching attached wall mirror is a beautiful and functional piece of genuine antique Henri II style French furniture dating to around 1890. The piece is of solid walnut construction. A lovely mellow timber, and would be an imposing feature in the entry foyer or hallway. We've not seen a piece such as this in a very long time! This gorgeous console table and mirror is a rare combination of some ornate features on a basically ... morestraight-line piece- beautiful to look at. And not over the top. The base features two drawers with original handles. Two fluted and turned supporting columns, a platform base on bun feet and a backboard. The bevelled mirror has beautifully carved, fluted and turned columns at either side. Above the mirror is a stunningly carved pediment with a central medallion and floral swags. The table and mirror present as a great example of quality late 19th century French furniture in the Henri II style. Together. The piece measures 243cm high, 82cm wide and 41cm deep. The table top is 90cm high. Though clearly antique. There are no structural or major defects. It's in gorgeous antique condition. There are some areas of very light star cracking to the silvering of the mirror, which interior decorators would just LOVE to bits. It shows age, but does not in any way detract from the beauty of the piece. As with all antique and vintage furniture, age-appropriate wear and character marks should be expected.
