Early 18th Century Salt Glaze Pitcher Cattail Design
It doesn't get much rarer for early salt glaze and about the only other place you'll find a example like this is in a museum. It stands 10" tall and 6 3/4" wide across the widest section of the body and shows no marks as to Mfg. It has a cattail and flower design on the outside and the inside is gloss glazed. It has a 1" hairline crack that doesn't go all the way through and it's just a stress crack from the molding process in front where the handle meets the body. It also has a very shallow top edge chip from a glaze pop also from time of Mfg. If you collect early pottery I promise you won't be diappointed in this beauty. This is a lovely old handmade doll-estate find. Handmade muslin upside down doll- about 12"long. One side is red riding hood. Other side is 2 faced doll with"grandma" and"wolf" Faces are painted with some embroidery. Overall good shape- pretty clean- some marks, a few small stains. One or two small tears- could be fixed. My grandfather was a wood shop high school teacher's until he retired in the early 1960's. From within his old work shed comes another one of his grungy. LARGE. Old, solid wood, hinged carpenter tool boxes he made in the late 1940’s with built in side wall compartments(look closely at pic) we believe he used for his stained glass pieces and tools after his retirement. So neat and a one of a kind piece you just won't find- but here! It's a.ONE OF A KIND! In wonderful condition for its age and use. The hinges are original and rustic. And the natural wood handle has not been stained or painted and looks to be from an old trowel of some sort. Nothing for him went to waste! Profusely decorated 18th-19th Century Albanian miquelet"rat tail" pistol. The entire stock is covered with lightly engraved decorated brass plates. Characteristic feature of Albanian pistols. The barrel is half octagoneal, half round. One brass barrel band. The barrel shows some light patina and spots of rust(please see pictures) The pistol is in overall fair condition, all original except one screw. The stock is solid and nicely preserved. Very old and unique piece! This treasure is made of what looks like plaster of paris and still retains its original paint. Metal stick pin, and leaf backing. Not sure if this was part of a larger piece, say a small doll or such, but would make a wonderful addition to any collection! These treasures usually didn't make it due to what they are made of, and this piece shows a chip in one"horn. Measures 1-1/2 with out pin and 2-3/4 with pin.

Here we have a wonderful antique primitive wooden hand cart with cast iron wheels! This fine piece measures about 38 1/2" tall x 16" wide x 16" deep and has a hand wrought iron loop in one of the uprights so the load can be secured. The wheels measure about 4 3/8" in diameter. It is a light duty cart and was probably used to carry luggage at one of the old North Catskill hotels. It is'barn fresh' from a local estate and has a fine aged patina(see photos) There are no splits. Cracks or repairs in the wood that I can find and, although it is structurally sound, it is a bit wobbly and needs to be tightened up if you plan on using it. A great addition to your collection! It has not been cleaned or repaired by myself in any way. Measures- 24" Long x 13"Deep x 10 3/4" High. The trunk is in poor shape. And could use some repair, or restorations. It is missing the iron handle on one side. The leather straps are coming lose, and the wood rim inside hass ome damage as well. Has a nice iron lock on the front. 19th C Antique Inlaid Wood Slide Lid Dovetail Divided Compartment Spice Box
Wonderful 19th c. dovetailed wood spice box(6" long X 4" wide X 3" high) with slide lid. 4 divided compartments, and fine inlay at the base. A paper label on the underside of the slide lid has a handwritten 1810 date and the initials"T.B.B" in script. I believe the wood is cherry. The inlay runs around the bottom edge on all four sides. Up for bid is an antique armadillo basket. It measures 11 inches long and is 9 inches wide. It appears to be sealed or shellacked on the outside and is painted green on the inside. There is some damage to the handle. the nose and tail tip would have originally been glued together. But have come loose. There is also damage tot he finish at the base of the tail, and 2 small tears at the head by the ears(please see photos) There are small holes drilled at the top of the sides- maybe there used to be something hanging there- they are very small and can only be seen up close. Primitive Ornies Pig and Piglets
Adorable Very Primitive looking Momma Pig which is 15" wide and 8" high. With her two piglets each are 5" wide and 3" high. Made of cotton fabric and heavily stained with my prim wash. Then Momma was painted with prim black color paint and sanded down. She looks like the famed Hampshire pigs. I blushed her up. Piglets are painted and also prim sanded and stained. You can display them standing or lying down as if they are feeding from Momma. Very sweet. All filled with new poly fil. Made with love. as always. And buttercream scented.
