18" Antique Priitive Cloth or Rag Doll Bl Stripe Dress Wonderful primitive antique rag doll from the late 1800s or early 1900s. She is 18" tall ... moreand wears an early country style blue and white stripe dress. The dress is from the same period as the doll. She also wears a petticoat and camisole from the same period. She has a very faint ink drawn or pencil drawn face that was applied over the original face. She some type of brown netted fabric that is shreaded in some fashion to make it look a little like hair. She has brown stockings over her legs and dark red oil cloth shoes. Like most rag dolls she has problems. She has been reinforced at the neck and ankles. The body looks to have been commercially made. Similar to the Babyland Rag doll bodies. I am showing lots of pictures of the doll so you can see the various patches that were done over the years. I am presently selling other rag and cloth dolls on eBay. I am showing a few pictures of the doll. One sitting in a chair and another in an early doll bed, so you can see how nice she looks in these settings. Only the rag doll in the stripe dress is for sale with this auction, not the bed or the chair. Ask about our layaway plan for more expensive purchases. This is for an antique metal chocolate mold of a laughing Easter Bunny. Very interesting mold with the bunny's front paws resting on it's full ... moretummy and a laughing expression on it's happy face!A very unique old mold. It came from a very long established candy making shop near me. The tinned surface on the outside is now giving way to some light surface rust or abrasion from usage. The interior looks to be relatively clean with a few very small spots of rust or old chocolate? I don't see any makers mark on this wonderful mold. Standing. It measures 6" to the tip of the bunny's ears, 5" to the top of it's head. PayPal is my preferred method of payment. But other ways work too, but let me know before. SMALL ANTIQUE MELON OR BUTTOCKS BASKET, GOOD OLD BLUE PAINT AAFA
Bidders are responsible for viewing all photos. Reading the item description and asking any and all pertinant questions prior to bidding. Please assume nothing if you don't see it, read it or ask it* Very nice small antique melon or buttocks basket in good old dark blue paint. Let me just mention that on my computer monitor I noticed that the paint appears to be a blue-gray in color and in reality. The paint is strictly a blue and a dark blue at that with no hint of gray. Well made with twenty four ribs on each side. It is in fair condition with several breaks in the splint in the bottom of the basket. The paint has moderate wear and there is an accumulation of years of dirt within the woven splint and I have not attempted to clean it. It is oblong in shape and measures 9 3/4" by 7 3/4" It is 5 1/2" deep and 9 3/4" ... morehigh measured from the bottom of the basket to the top of the handle. Modest reserve. Old Antique Civil War Document Box Photos Confederate Folk Art KGC KY AAFA Early
Hello. Up for your consideration is a Unique Small 19th century Document box I found in Kentucky. I could not believe when i opened the lid on it. It has two very old pictures of Jefferson Davis, the President of the Confederates and the other photo is the Vice President Alexander Stephens. In the middle of the pictures it says the Knights of the Golden Circle and under that it has Kentucky. This box has odd symbols and numbers all over the outer and inside edges of the lid. weird stuff for sure. some of the symbols are eyes and moons and suns with lots of dots and numbers. It does have the name Hot Springs Rev. written in it too. I googled it and the Hot Springs National Park in Ark. was called Hot Springs Reservation in the 1800s. All the numbers are not shown in the photos. This box was filled with tintypes and cabinet cards and some of ... morethe photos had the symbols and numbers on them too. I still have them so contact me if you are interested in the photos I will be selling them seperate they are NOT included in this auction. The box was used as a ink writing box at one time because of all the ink stains inside. What a great find. No doubt it dates to the civil war or before. From what i gathered the Knights of the Golden Circle was like a fraternity or lodge after the Civil War. so maybe this box was used in their rituals or something. Payment is paypal unless other arrangements have been made prior to auctions end with payment due within 3 days of auctions end. Thanks and check out my other auctions this week

Antique Mortar and Pestle in Paint Turquoise Blue Paint AAFA
Nice smaller size mortar and pestle in original turquoise paint. This is unusual for a couple of reasons. First. It is made from lignum vitae and is very heavy, and second it has a pestle made with wood and ceramic. My guess is that it was used in a pharmacy or doctors office. It has a beautiful shade of blue and stands out from the usual blue colors seen on these. Condition of this piece is good with a couple of checks in the base as is common with lignum vitae due to the density of the wood. It measures 6 1/2 high 5 1/8 at top 4 7/8 at bottom pestle is 7 1/2
Paint Decorated New Hampshire Pantry Box / Signed / AAFA / NR
This thick walled pantry box is from my own collection. I found it here in Michigan years ago although it was made in New Hampshire. It is signed Frye Company in Wilton. New Hampshire. This company has been in business for over a century and still is. I would guesstimate the age to be early 1900's. The paint is a mustard/umber background with vines in dark green, black and wonderful red. The box has opposing fingers with copper nails and wooden pegs. The condition is excellent with no damage. The paint is exactly how I found it(could've used a cleaning but I like it this way) It's hard to tell if the paint decoration was done at the"factory" or by the first owner; but, it is old and definitely not recently done. If you like early paint decoration, this is as unique as it gets. You will love it! Size: 5-3/4" diameter ... moreat the top x 2-5/8" tall. It weighs less than 1/2 lb unpacked. ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE FIGURAL FOLK ART HOOKED RUG - HUGE BIRDS- AAFA
This antique hooked rug is as sweet and charming as they come. HOWEVER, it needs a good home that can breathe a little life back into it. Measuring an easily displayable 37.5” long by 18” wide, it features two large blue and faded red birds in trees, several houses, a pond, etc. It has endured a well-intended, age-old repair to one of the birds and has holes as shown. It is not falling apart, nor are there any odors or inhabitants, but it should be restored and matted. Someone put a striped backing on it at some time, which gives it some added protection. As is, it remains charming and folky and has an endearing quality to it that begs for an appreciative hand. Buyer pays exact shipping. I pay insurance in lower 48. Tin Chamberstick Fat Lamp / Early Lighting / Tallow / Oil / AAFA / NR
I've always loved early lighting but I am not an expert(on my bucket list) This piece was purchased here in Michigan but from a New England dealer. It is made of rolled tin and dates to the early to mid 1800's. I think it was originally for whale oil although it now has a"clump" of early fat or tallow smeared on the top. I don't see where it opens to put the oil so I assume it would just be poured into the top. The original wick sticks out from under the tallow. The condition is great with no splits or loose pieces. There is some surface rust on the underside and one side(see photo#7) Mentioned for accuracy. There are three numbers handwritten on the bottom; for what reason, I do not know. ANTIQUE/VINTAGE/PEWTER PLATES/NICE FORM AND SIZE/WILTON COLUMBIA/AAFA
Up for auction is this really great set of 4 pewter plates from the Wilton Columbia company in PA. I saw these and had to get them. From what I know. They are around the 60's or 70's time frame. I will say that they look just like 19th century pieces! They are very heavy with very nice form and shape to them. The insides have a nice scribed line in the bottom and on the top/rim edge. Very nice wear marks on plates. They have been used considerably and it makes them look even more early/antique. All 4 plates are marked/stamped on the back side. I just keep looking at these as they are so fantastic looking. I kept 2 of them and they look great on my bucket bench. You cannot tell the age until you see the markings and do the research! I do not think the pictures do them justice. They will look great in your collection. Dimensions are ... more10 1/2" wide and 1" deep. I ship to the US only! Payment is Pay Pal only. AAFA OLD YELLOW WARE BEAN POT PRIMITIVE STONEWARE ANTIQUE HEARTH WARE
Up for auction is this antique yellow ware piece. I think it was a bean pot. Deep creamy shade of mustard yellow with red flowers and green leaves. The red and green areas are set down into the pottery. There is a rim of pottery around them that stands up from the pot itself. I think if you would want. You could take the paint off the piece with a little nail polish remover or denatured alcohol. The outline and raised area would still be there but not the coloring. It is charming as is! Would make a nice vase or utensil holder in the kitchen. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing. There is no lid, but there is no ledge inside the pot where one would rest. Great addition to your yellow ware collection. It stands 6 1/2" high and the opening is 5" in diameter. Thanks for looking and please check out my seller's list where I have ... moremore old. It also gives instructions for what kind of gum to put into the slots: Wrigleys Spearmint, Doublemint, Juicy Fruit and Wrigley's P.K. Chewing Sweet(not sure that is even manufactured any longer) Anyway, when this is filled with the packs of gum, it would look sensational and very colorful. I have already loaded one panel so that you can see what it would look like. This style of gum packs is actually still available at your local grocery story, as that is where I bought mine for use in this revolving display! What a great early country store primitive, still useful and fun! Condition is excellent with only minor age, oxidation and a tiny amount of rust, that would come clean-I have not touched this display, as I love it as is! But, the glass panels actually should be cleaned a little better for more interesting display of the gum-what a fun piece of nostalgia. Shipping will be $18.00. As it i

1800's Dough Bowl / Soldier Blue Paint! / Great Patina! / AAFA / NR
I'm pleased to offer a great size dough bowl tonight. It is beautifully out of round and has great used patina! The paint is OLD and a deep soldier blue! It has a nice raised rim and one side shows something hot was laid on the edge(see photo#5) mentioned for accuracy. The bowl was used so much it wore through on the bottom. Now having a pea-sized hole, adding to its charm! I found this at an upstate New York show although the dealer was from New England. No side or rim cracks or hairlines. Only issues are at the bottom, see photos. You will love this bowl! Size: 14-1/2" x 14" x 4-5/8" tall. It weighs a hefty 2-3/4 lbs unpacked. I ship to the USA only. THE Best Tin and Glass Lantern / Superb Form and Condition! / AAFA
I'm pleased to offer one of the best. If not THE best lantern I've ever found. The tin has aged to a mellow color with excellent patina. It is hard to say if the glass is original. The three sides have the original tin bands to protect the glass. The back is solid. The candle cup is tabbed through to the bottom. The candle shown was inside when I bought it and there are candle drippings on the inside bottom. All the solder points are secure and the ring at the top for carrying is original. Condition is excellent with only a few dents in the protective bands to mention. The tin has wonderful dark patina on the slightly pitted surface, showing all of its 150 years! I can't say enough about this piece. It is fresh to the market and right as rain! You will love it! Size: 5-1/2" square x 13-1/2" tall. It weighs 2 lbs unpacked. ... moreI ship to the USA only. UP FOR AUCTION IS THIS STRAIGHT SIDED STONEWARE CROCK WITH ALBANY SLIP INSIDE AND A FOLKSY DRAWING IN COBALT. THE DRAWING WAS DONE SOMETIME AFTER THE CROCK WAS GLAZED. I KNOW VERY LITTLE ABOUT THIS CROCK. I BOUGHT IT AT AUCTION AND FOUND THE DRAWING TO BE AMUSING. LATER I WAS GIVEN A COPY OF"THE NEW YORKER" MAGAZINE AND IMMEDIATELY RECOGNIZED THE SIMILARITIES OF THE CARICATURES. I WAS NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE MAGAZINE. I DO KNOW THAT THE DRAWING IS DEFINITELY COBALT. I JUST THINK THIS IS A"COOL" CROCK. THERE IS A HAIRLINE WHICH IS BARELY RECOGNIZABLE BECAUSE IT DOES NOT GO THROUGH. OTHERWISE NO ISSUES. IT MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 9 1/2" T X 9" ACROSS.

AAFA Rare c.1850s Engraved Views Cutwork Paper Fan with Roses, Valentine Token
This is a fabulous and rare ephemera item. Similar to a valentine fan or token of affection, dating to approximately the late 1850s, with multiple early engravings of Germany on the reverse, and marked'Hamburg. All of the cutwork appears to be present, just two old tape marks on the reverse at one seam. Would be beautiful in a fan or valentine collection. The photos are done on my scanner, but all of the edges are complete, measuring approimately 9 inches square when completely open, folds easily to the two cabbage rose design, six other scene panels, with the roses, and eight panel scenes on the reverse. Would be beautiful framed as a Victorian'Token of Remembrance' or example of'Grand Tour. ag6 2.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk.rp73%28c%3Eag6%3E2-13d27af1c12-0xf5-

Best 19th C. Indigo Blue Dress for China Head or Greiner Doll AAFA
This is a fantastic mid-19th century doll dress. Circa 1840-60's, skirt and top) in a polished cotton indigo navy blue polka dot fabric! In very good condition, I see only one small seam on a sleeve that has pulled apart, but could be repaired, as it is not a rip, just the stitches have come loose-only about 1/2" long. The fabric in my photos makes this outfit look faded, which it really is not-the polished cotton seemed to just photograph a little lighter-the actual color is pretty close to navy blue(with only the slightest amount of age fading) This might have been an outfit for a Mary Todd Lincoln type china head doll, or it might be used for a medium sized Greiner type doll, as it is age appropriate for any of these type of early dolls. The skirt and blouse are completely lined. The skirt is lined in a coffee colored polished ... morecotton and the blouse is lined in a cream colored cotton(not polished) Both pieces are hand-stitched with some treadle sewing machine stitching. There are no holes or rips on the skirt, but the waistband has wear and there are no hooks or buttons on either piece. The blouse has a tiny little nip on the edge on back of this piece, but would not show when in place on a doll, as one edge would overlap to cover the other. This doll would have worn a bustle with this outfit, as the way the skirt is made it is much longer in the back-helps give you an idea on age. The measurements of the skirt are approx. 12" long at the front(with several inches longer on back to compensate for a bustle) and the waist is approx. 3 3/4" across the front(not counting all the way around) The blouse with beautiful puffed sleeves with early lace trim meausures approx. 5 1/2" from neck to pointed bottom of shirt. There are nice little darts and details in the stitching. May have been a young girl's handiwork, but very nicely done! Shipping will be $4.00 to include careful packing. Guaranteed as described. Please bid with confidence. THis item is being sold as-is because of it's antiq
