The entire piece is done in wool thread in a combination of stumpwork tufting and other needlework stitches. It is applied on a silk background. As for condition there is some loss to the silk background in the upper right side. The frame is 15 1/4" by 13 3/4" and the needle work is 10 3/4" by 9 1/2" The frame is most likely original to the piece. It is square nailed and still retains much of its original gold leaf. Carved from a single slab of old-growth Eastern White Pine. This piece shows the original tool marks from the carving process. The sculpting of this form was completed by being worn down to perfection from years of use. The density of the Growth Rings and clear grain in this gorgeous piece shows that it was carved from an ancient tree that probably grew in the Old Growth primeval forest that the pioneers found when they settled the East Coast. These giant White Pines are virtually extinct. This is a truly remarkable& impressive. Rare piece. Particularly beautiful is the surface and the shape. Which have been worn smooth by years of work carrying water. The incredibly tight ... moregrain and deep, rich patina make this a truly gorgeous, special piece, the best yoke I've seen. Very Old Antique Ornate Wrought Iron Church Cross-Cemetery-Primitive
This is between 3 and 4 feet tall and about 2+ feet wide and was found buried during a late 70s church remodeling. The church was founded in the early 1800s and this was likely old then. We gave it to the minister who kept it at his house. He passed away last year and we found it again in his barn during an estate clean out. It is very old and quite ornate and made of iron. It is in crusty shape with rust and many coats of old paint. The base is missing a section like you see and this is far from mint condition. But is probably the oldest item like this you will find anywhere. It is very heavy at least 125 to 150 lbs, and pick up in Delaware Ohio is preferred. But shipping might be able to be arranged if needed through Fedex.

Primitive Wooden Hand Carved/Painted Spice Rack. Carved Flowers and Dial
Beautiful vintage hand carved and painted spice rack. It measures 19 inches across and 24 inches tall. It is carved with a painted point at the top and a dial right under that. It has three shelves all of which have carved bars. The bar on the lowest shelf is not straight. It has kind of a dip in it. There are beautiful carved potted flowers on each side. The sides themselves are scalloped. There is about 5 inches between the bottom shelf and the second shelf and 5 1/2 inches between the second shelf and the top one. It is engraved with the initials HRH on the top. There is a piece of the back that looks like it may have been replaced at one time, as to me the wood looks newer. I obtained this item years ago at an American Indian Pow wow from a native vendor who was Arapaho. It is a unique form of signage/art that can be mounted anywhere in your home or yard. As you can see. There are drilled mounting holes on the lower feet for securing it to any surface. It measures approx. 14 inches wide by approx. 8 1/2 inches in height. On one side is; CIRCLE OF NATIONS and on the other side is;RESPECT ALL PEOPLE-UNDERSTAND OUR MANY CULTURES-CELEBRATE THE WORLD'S DIVERSITY. It was a terrible wood color so I used a Simulated Milk Paint- Color was Olde Forge Mustard. This box had tons of chains and boating stuff in it just to give you an idea of how this is not just a flimsily little box. Its heavy and AWESOME! The wood pieces are at least a 1/2 thick throughout the whole box. I left it country looking. Its not new, this is old and used. It would be great to store just about anything. A really nice old five tine fork from a Wisconsin estate. Nice handle that appears to be original to the tool. There is no brand name and the business end is stamped MADE IN U.S.A. This fork is 46" long and the tines are 12" long. 8 1/2" across the tines. Overall condition is great with normal surface rust. The tine section is still very tight on the hardwood shaft. The handle is a bit loose but not in danger of falling off. Nice piece for display or use on the farm or in the garden! Primitive Hand Made Small Cabinet Bird Painting on Front 2 Dove Tail Drawers
Primitive Small 2 Drawer Cabinet Cupboard Estate find. This nice little cupboard came from the same house as the Peter Kramer Blanket Chest that I have listed. It is not signed but it looks like it could be from the same maker, especially with the dovetailed drawers. It is a small table top cabinet. Small boot jack cut outs on the sides, and a chair rail across the back top. On the front door is a nice painted door panel with a very pretty bird picture framed in wood. There is some loss to the paint on the painting, but it still displays great. There is a key on the door key hole, it turns but there is no locking mechanism inside. The key acts as a door handle. Inside are two drawers with recessed pulls, they have angled bottoms and dove tailed corners on the front and back. The piece has a dark stain. In good condition, I do not know the ... moreage. Small cabinet measures 19" tall to top of back rail. 15.5" wide and just a little over 11" deep. Solid wood, the cabinet weighs 17+ pounds. Straight from the Farm with Amazing Patina and great looks is a very desirable piece of Americana. This Antique Wooden Butter Churn comes with the internal paddles. But is lacking the long stick. I'm not an expert on the specifics of this cool item but I'm sure there are some who will appreciate it. It stands approximately 21 inches tall and is approximately 36 inches around the base of it. As you can see from the pictures, it is not in perfect condition, and is being sold As Is. I do believe it is constructed in parts with square nails. Thought this was a branding iron of some sort. Found in western Nebraska Sandhills area. But a man. Quite a bit older than me(I am sixty) recognized it and stated it was not a branding iron, but a tool to grab either mule or a horse's back hoof to keep him from kicking you with his hind legs. The man said his dad used one and was likely hand made back in those days. Makes sense I guess. Made of cast iron approx. 3' 4" long. On the front of the box I painted a flag. I placed a small 8 inch green feather tree in the box. Decorating the tree are hand painted wooden flag tags. A star and a heart clipped onto the branches, and an Uncle Sam. Early Primitive Antique Wood Flax Spinning Wheel Part
Early Primitive Antique Wood Flax Spinning Wheel Part WOW- went to my favorite flea market this weekend and found some awesome treasures for you- I’ll be listing all week. So keep checking! You know I know nothing about spinning wheels. But I couldn't pass up the charm of this one- it's oldoldold but it appears to be in really good condition. I know it's some type of spinning wheel part, it's made of solid wood, with wood screws and two areas of leather- one with a loop of leather on top, the other- the loop is there but it's pushed down and the leather is broken in half on one side of the loops. Both of the leather loops come out of the wood horizontal solid tube shape of wood in the center. And both are held in place on the other side by a small pin that is also made of wood. One of the loop ends has material wrapped ... morearound it where it comes out of the hole, and the other does not. The leather is very dark from age, as well as hardened and crackling and cracked from age too- see my photos. Under the tube is a piece of turned wood that juts down, narrowing as it goes. You can see a line about 1/3 of the way from the top where the wood is lighter- I'm guessing that this piece used to set into the wheel in some way? I don't know, but that's what it looks like. On the other end is a wood wheel that has a divot on the outside perimeter, and 4 divots on one side- like the threads of a screw almost. One of the raised edges of the divots has two small chips on it- 1/4" long at largest and shallow. It is held onto two wood pieces that protrude up next to it by a steel pin that allows it to rotate- and it does easily. From the outside of the wheel to the bottom of the turned wood piece it measures 13 1/2" long, the wheel is 4 1/2" diameter, and the tube shaped wood(by the way, it's only tube shaped, it's not hollow like a tube, though- it's solid wood) measures 5 1/4" wide and is 1 1/2" diameter. I am offering a collectible wooden treen bread board and knife. Old and in used condition. Pattern around border of board and on knife handle. Board measures almost 12 inches in diameter. Knife 12 1/2 inches approx. The knife does say Bread Knife on blade. Also says Defiance Malinda Works Sheffield Abram Brooksbank. No markings on board. Great for collection. My mother said she bought this many years ago in England. I believe it is from 1800's. Thank you.
