The pantry box I believe is 19th C. But the hand done incising is dated 1906. And she's a charmer- measuring on 3 3/4" in diameter, 3" high. I believe the wood is birch. In superb condition with the sole apology being the small sliver of wood missing from the lap band as shown in my 9th picture. 19th C hand carved tramp art double frame, no reserve
Offered here without reserve is this 19th C hand carved double frame that I think qualifies as tramp art though its not in the classic chip carved form. Overall she measures 15 1/8" x 11" And takes two 7" x 5" images. There are two minor apologies- a chipped off sliver of wood as shown in my 6th picture and a corresponding chipped off sliver as shown in my 8th picture. I'm guess its been recently retained, so the surface is not original. Again, there is no reserve but buyer pays $15 for domestic USPS shipping.

The inside is glazed in aged white blending into green at the top that shows quite a bit of iridescence. There is one good size chip on the inner rim. I find no cracks. Antique Spider Leg Cherry Pitter Table Top. Four Spider Legs that can be bolted down, Rotating Handle& Wheel. All Cast Iron, Cherry Pitter 11" X 6 1/2" base ~~ 6 3/4" height Pre-owned condition- sign of age and wear over the years Handle and wheel turn well and are functional. One of the legs had previously been broken where it attaches to the pitter. It was repaired by drilling a new hole. Resulting in one leg slightly shorter than the rest. See top of last picture. antique/vtg hand hooked rug 3x2' v primitive snowy village scene - great look
I buy vintage linens at local estate auctions to pass them along to you. A recent auction brought some very unique items. This is a small hand-hooked rug measuring 3' by 2' in size. It shows a scene of a snowy village with a church at right and two houses. With a horse drawn sleigh at bottom right. There is a 2.5" border all around, black with dark brown stripes. The scene is quite faded and worn. The first six photos show the front, and the rest show the back, which is much more vividly colored. The edges are worn and show some raveling, and there is a white burlap patch sewn to the front at the upper left hand corner, as shown. Please use the zoom function to examine the pattern and design: the horse's mane is emphasized by use of an old nylon stocking! There is a bare spot on the sleigh were the original canvas grid shows ... morethrough. I want you to understand the condition: it is VERY used and worn. However. This just gives it such an antique charm- it looks like it came out of a northeastern farmhouse where it was made. Great rustic, primitive look. Antique Primitive Skein of Flax Thread AAFA NR
This is a fairly small skein but they are impossible to find today. Any size is a rarity! It measures about 14 inches long. I have seen much bigger ones but I haven't seen any at all in a couple of y ears! Flax thread is what was used to weave linen. 5 Vintage Antique Bone Dice 18th Century w Crown GR Tax Stamp in Snuff Tin
This is a set of 5 antique bone dice with the crown and G.R stamp. These were among my mother-in-laws things. They were in this little snuff or tobacco tin, I'm not sure if it is the same period as the bone dice. These are in very nice condition, I am sure mostly because they were kept in this little tin. They measure just 1/4" and each one has the red ink stamped crown and G.R on the 6 pip side, the tin measures 1¼" Note: I am not expert on this period, my info is based on research from previous eBay listings, other informed sellers, and of course the Google. I am listing many vintage items from my mother-in-laws estate. She collected beautiful quality designer jewelry. And little bits of everything else. Antique Pottery Jug, Whiskey/Rum, Albany Glaze
This antique pottery jug was originally meant for whiskey or rum and is a nice. Compact size. The height is about 7 inches and the width is about 6 inches. The handle is applied and the condition is excellent. The glaze is a rich brown and there are no chips, cracks, repairs or other flaws. As can be seen in the photo, one side of the body has some very old foil-backed paper that was applied with adhesive. These pieces can be easily removed, but we think it may have been a label for"Rum. Our feeling is that the jug predates the label, back to the mid to late 19th century.

Both are made by R Bliss and they have 14 inch jaws with 16 inch wood screws one is marked R Bliss& Company which dates back to 1845 and the other is marked R Bliss MFG and dates back to 1874 both of these clamps are in excellent condition for their age and would be great for display The firm was founded by Rufus Bliss in 1830 Mr. Rufus Bliss started years ago by picking out choice pieces of hickory wood. Carrying them to a convenient lathe, converting them into screws. After accumulating a little stock he would set out for Boston in a wagon, and sell them along the way. Lot includes: an Early. Tear Drop, Ovoid, Brown Ware, Redware, Strap Handled Jug, Found in Old Philadelphia. No cracks, two old blackened chips on the lip as seen in the photo. Unglazed foot has chipping most of the way around as seen in the photo. This type of chipping is normal on earthenware vessels that were used everyday for many years. Glaze is crackled overall, but this is not damage, just a sign of old age. Take your black light to this one and you'll see for yourself that it has no repairs or alterations of any sort. It is as found, many years ago, in Old Philadelphia. The jug is 8¼ inches tall, 3½ inches in diameter at the base of the foot and about 6 inches in diameter at the widest in the middle. Offered here. A really nice authentic 19th c. Amish rag rug, with the traditional rainbow stripes in bright colors. These wonderful old rugs were continuously woven and cut to the lengths that people needed for a particular spot, like a hallway, and bound at the ends. While many of these pieces are 14 or 17 feet long, modernly folks don't like to cut them to fit the smaller dimensions of 20th c. living spaces. So this rug is especially nice because it is extra wide-42" rather than the conventional 36" and it is"only" 7 1/2 feet-90"long. It is a good area rug size for most rooms today. This rug has only two very small breaks, which are pictured in the photos. These are easily mended. In addition, there are light stains-probably water stains-here and there. These could be evened out or eliminated by cleaning with ... morea modern rug cleaner or by a professional. Built as they are on rags, these rugs do not survive 20th c. washing machines. I've been lucky enough to run across a few of these in past decades and I am always entertained by the uniqueness of each one. They are always heavy, and this is no exception. They are also always very sturdy because I think they got kicked around quite a bit. In fact there is an old repair on the leg of this stool. This stool was apparently originally upholstered with red carpet. That was covered with early black oilcloth anchored with upholstery tacks which is the finish today. This measures 16" x 8" x 10" and retains its original, now allegatored, varnish. Nicely made, still makes a great footstool. Thanks for looking into my auctions.

This tool caddy was made by my father in the early to mid 1940s. He was a teriffic handy man. Always making"stuff" tool carriers, benches, chairs, stools, carts, cabinets, shelves, etc) out of scraps of wood. He made things for himself, neighbors and friends. Living through the Depression, he never threw anything away; he built usable stuff out of scraps(wood, metal, fabric, etc. This particular tool carrier has a cut off mop handle for a tote, pine wood sides and a produce crate piece for a bottom. From Lancaster PA. Amish auction, is thewood turned dough bowl with rope tied through hole to hang. Measures approx 14" x 14.75" x 4.5" high. This is an especially nice size and would look fantastic on a country americana table filled with fruit, breads, etc. The stain is fantastic with beautiful coloring and excellent vintage condition. Bottom of bowl has handwritten 3.00. I examined the bowl and I see no markings that appear to be old worm bores. Please know there are cracks and some pitting but nothing that I would identify as worm bores. Please also know that we are not experts in this area and its possible you could have a different evaluation but I'm pretty confident that these markings are not worm bores. These type wooden molds were used to build the shoes to the correct size and form as they traveled through the factory from start to finish. This is an amazing tin with 15 round cutters. Plus the tin cannister and lid. From a pennsylvania farm estate. Can you image cookies of all sizes. Cut with center holes, or small layer cakes, stacked, and you can choose any of the 15 sizes, etc? This is truly an amazing set. The round cutters are all graduated sizes. Which is soooooooooooo versatile for cooking and backing. The largest ring measures approx 4.75" and the smallest measures approx 1 1/8" across. They measure approx 1 1/8" high. There is a small space between the 5th and 6th ring. So there may or may not have been another ring at some time. This is a special set which I may actually decide to keep myself.
