These are very consistent with some of the more decorated Japanese floats. The person I got them from actually said that their father likely brought them back from Japan. As he spent 3 years there. I will leave that up to the purchaser to decipher though as I am not an expert on these items. Fabulous Rustic Primitive Old Vintage Hanging Balance Scale Brass Wood
Fabulous Rustic Primitive Old Vintage Hanging Balance Scale Brass Wood I had the wonderful opportunity to meet and shop with another ebayer seller from out of town recently- a real catfish moment. Because we’ve talked for years, but never met! No surprises, just all fun and did we shop until we dropped! I have lots of very cool items for you that I will be listing all week. Enjoy! This is one of my favorites this week. It's a drop dead gorgeous primitive hanging balance scale. I'm calling it old vintage because it certainly is. But very well may be old enough to be antique. The scale has two hand hammered round brass pans that are suspended by iron or steel chain from a wood balance that has a killer patina. The balance has a loop at the top for hanging- this one is ready for your kitchen or seasonal displays! It measures 17 7/8" ... moreacross the wood top, each pan is 7 1/4" diameter by 3/4" tall, and the piece measures 24" tall from the top loop to the bottom of the pans when hanging with both pans even, and 24" wide pane side to pan side. It weighs a little over 2 1/2 lbs all together. It is in excellent solid and sturdy condition. The patina of the brass is dark, but the patina of the iron and wood is even darker. The wood has lots of rustic wear in nicks, scratches, scrapes, light spots, dark spots- you can see double vertical lines on the sides of the wood balance, with some mostly or totally worn off. The steel(or iron a magnet sticks to it) chain and hardware is very dark, with surface rust that can be seen- the top hanging loop has the most- it's all over the loop, but it's totally sturdy. It looks like the former owner put a coat of varnish or polyurethane on the piece as it has a semi gloss finish- that's good, because it's preventing any further rusting of the metal. Antique clothes hanger/dryer. Well used. Made by the Artmoore Company. The photos tell it all. 39" high and the dowels are 23 1/2" long. This is a wonderful 19th Century American Rectangular Open Baking Dish with a Spongeware Mottled Bennington type glaze. It measures approximately 7-3/4" long x 6-1/4" wide x 1-3/4" deep. The glaze retains a beautiful. Bright shine. There are NO cracks, NO repairs and NO re-glazing. The underside of the rim has 2 very, very tiny glaze flecks which should certainly go without mention but are offered for accuracy. I have stuffed each one with poly fill. Not to much or not to little. Just enough to give them that puffy full look. I used a rusty look like safety pin to attach a rusty bell on the very tip of the heart so it hangs down.And a small piece of homespun on the jute twine. I have also placed jute twine on each one so they may be hung.These ornies have been dipped in a prim mixture and lightly baked. Measures approx 4 1/4" long with the bell and approx 3" wide. Set of 3 Primitive Grungy Raggedy Ann Doll Faces Ornies Bowl Fillers
Hello. For auction I have a set of 3 primitive raggedy ann ornies. These were made from muslin and grunged. I have attached black bead eyes. The eyebrows, eyelashes and mouth were sewn on with black embroidery thread. The nose was stitched on with maroon embroidery thread. The hair is made from red embroidery thread. Each of these ornies have a homespun tie. One of them has a grunged circle hangtag on a rusty safety pin. This has'lil annie' stamped on it. These measure approximately 3" across. Antique Primitive Country 9" Foot Stool Footstool Bench, Oak Wood, Top-of-Stack
ANTIQUE 9-1/2" TOP-OF-STACK OAK WOOD FOOTSTOOL This sale is for an old small Top of the Stack oak wood footstool that was recently removed from an estate in the Cumberland Valley of Pennsylvania. It is shown as the top stool in a group picture with an average size stool to indicate its relative small size. It measures 9-1/2" long x 4-1/2" wide x 4-3/4" tall. It features nicely scalloped double aprons. Rounded bootjack legs with cut-outs, and nice worn finish on all surfaces. It remains in good condition. It does show the normal imperfections of old primitive footstools including tight separations. Partially exposed nails on the underside of the top and missing slivers of wood. The legs are not completely perpendicular to the top, but it sits level and steady on any flat surface. A nice early footstool with a great country ... moreprimitive appearance! Set of 6 Primitive Grungy Crow Sunflower Ornies Bowl Fillers Pokes Summer Spring
Hello. For auction I have a set of 6 primitive crow and sunflower ornies. Four of these are crows. These were made from muslin, grunged and painted. I stitched definition in the wings and beaks on them. I have attached black glass bead eyes. They have a rusty bell held by a rusty safety pin. These are attached to real stick stems. I have given these grunged cheesecloth ties, these have a grunged circle hangtag that has'caw' stamped on it. Two of these ornies are sunflowers. They were made from a yellow fabric with centers made from an old chenielle bedspread. These were attached to real stick stems. I tied green cloth ties on these. The crows with wings measure approximately 9 1/2" long and 14" tall. The other crows measure approximately 9 3/4" long and 13" tall. Antique Expandable Wood Wall Rack, 10 Porcelain Tip Pegs, Hat Coat Tie Jewelry
ANTIQUE REEDED WALNUT WOOD EXPANDABLE HAT AND COAT RACK WITH PORCELAIN TIPS This very nice expandable reeded walnut wood hat. Coat, jewelry or tie rack was recently acquired from a local estate. It features ten 3-3/4" long porcelain tip wood pegs on its expandable frame. One of the great attributes of these old racks is that they can be adjusted to accommodate any available wall space. This example when opened to a modest width measures 28" wide x 17" tall. But when almost fully opened measures 44" wide x 11' tall. If desired, it can be adjusted to a smaller dimension than the measurements noted above. Although it has been used through the years. It remains in very good condition. Nice Old Antique Breadboard, Bread Board, Baking, 18 Inch Wide Pine, Primitive
Here's a very nice old or antique breadboard or bread board we received recently with some estate items from an old farmstead here in NH. This one is probably from somewhere in the mid to late 1800's and could be earlier as some of the items we received dated back to the early 1800's. It is very primitive in appearance and was made from a single 18 inch wide board about 7/8th inch thick. There are lots of signs of use and age and it has a great appearance. We took photos under several different lighting situations as it has a tendency to change appearance slightly depending on the lighting. There is one side with more signs of routine use and age. Then the other side seems to be the underside and is cleaner in appearance. This underside does have some interesting little surface marks from some type of baking use as we show in ... morethe pictures. On one edge there is a little worn area notched out that we show in a picture. This old baking board or breadboard is about 18 inches wide. 26 inches long and 7/8ths inch thick. Very nice for those who collect and decorate with antique, early american and colonial era kitchen and baking items. Nice medium to large size and easily mounted on the wall for display when not in use. That's about it. The pictures should be helpful to those having interest. Primitive Antique Square Nailed Pantry Box
This is an antique pantry box. It measures 6 3/8" in dia. and is 2 7/8" tall. It has just been oiled which is making it look so bright. Altho it does have a nice patina. My house is very dry in the winter so I like to keep my wooden primitives oiled for their protection. It is in pretty good condition. The inside is nice and clean and it is very sturdy. The top has some marks as pictured and there is an age crack as pictured and a little chipping on rim edge. Still a very nice old pantry box with a primitive look! Antique Vintage Metal Wire Egg Collection Basket Barn Farm Rusty Patina
This is a rusty egg collection basket that hasnt seen eggs in year. This old wire basket has no covering on the wires and the rusty patina looks awesome. Nice size at 11" tall to the top of the basket and the top is around 14.5" wide. The wire bail is intact and the entire basket can still be used as is. Only flaw I see is there is some paint over spray on the bottom of the basket. Cant be seen when the basket is setting up like normal. EARLY OLD 1800'S AUTHENTIC ★FLAX~PRIM BRAID OR PIGTAIL★ EXCELLENT COND~
Early Primitive Flax to Display or Use~Excellent Condition. Flax Fibers have been found that date to 30.000 BC, and were used to make linen fabric in ancient Egypt. Flax" refers to the unspun fibers of the Flax plant. In colonial America the Flax grass was grown, harvested, threshed, and then combed or carded to prepare it for the Spinning process. The carded Flax is long golden fibers and so the term Flaxen is sometimes given to long blond hair. It was then neatly twisted into braids or pigtails to use to make the linen. There are very few of these rare survivors to be found today and I had the good luck to find these at an Estate Sale here in northern Ohio. Lots of fibers if you are a Spinner or just to display with your Early Primitives and Antiques in your home. Guaranteed to be authentic a 19th Century braid or skein. Really beautiful old treasure! These were considered"medicinal" back in the day as they were used to take pressure off painful joints and such when seated. This is handmade as seen in the scroll work on the bottom edge and the graceful roll of the top and the original stenciling. Outside has rose head nails and the center portion which would have originally been covered with fabric sports what seem to be hand hewn nails as the heads are varying sizes as per pics# 6-7. I have always used this with the wood showing as the slats are interesting with their different hues of age. Does show age appropriate wear. But displays beautifully. Measures 16 X 11 x 7.

Vintage Cow Bell, Metal with Leather Neck Strap, Collar, Buckle, Nice Patina
Used. Vintage, Cow Bell with leather collar. Nice patina from years of use. The original clapper on this bell gave out some time ago and the owner used a piece of bailing wire and a hex nut for a replacement. From the wear on the nut. This bell has seen considerable use since that change was made, has great sound too! Thick leather neck strap is cracked and dried out. Especially on the end opposite the buckle, where it is cut and has maybe been chewed on. It is still fairly flexible in the neck and buckle area. The"loose end" retaining loop is missing. The length is about 26" and it is about 1-1/8" wide. The bell is riveted and brazed. Last week, I decided to do some internet searching on the owner, as well as all of the other provenance that is included on the piece. I have discovered that this tankard comes from an old English pub in the old central section of London that was once referred to as"Fitzroy Square" The owner of the tankard, T.W. LONG is actually Thomas William Long and his family operated the"Lord Monson's Arms" at 21 Tottenham Street in Fitzroy Square. I am providing information on several links to prove that this tankard is genuine. Do the research for yourself and you will see that it is as well. I know that the pub was in existence from 1839 to 1899. However. I DO NOT KNOW the exact date of this tankard. A great old piece that still carries a portion of the original paper label for Meier's Port Wine from the Mountains of Eastern Kentucky and bottled in Silvertson. Ohio. Some fray and loss as you can see, but some parts of the label are still in place as well as the State of Minnesota tax stamp. Reclaimed cedar beams varying widths and depths. All beams are 4in thick and range from 8in wide to 18in wide. Lengths range from 10 feet to 20 feet. Most beams have been planed and all are ready for install. I will load onto a trailer with my forklift if needed. These beams came from a country club in Texas and we used many of them on our back porch and they look great! We have no use for the rest of them. Rustic Primitive Old Vintage Iron Barn Chain& Hook Hand Forged Steampunk 15 lbs Went to the flea market this weekend hoooray- so happy to have it back. Lotsandlotsandlots of antiques and unique for you this week. And I’ll be listing all week, so be sure to keep checking! You don't expect me to let a week go by without some fabulous old iron. Now do you? And this one will not disappoint! It's a fabulous farm barn find- 15 1/2 lbs of hand forged iron chain with a large hook on the end- 109 1/2" to be exact, with the hook being 4" long by 4" long and having a"twist" on the end- see my photo 4. Each link is uniquely in its making, but the piece is interesting in that most of the chain links are about 5"long by 2" wide, but there's a 19" section on the other end from the hook where the links ... moreare smaller- they are about 2" by 1 1/2" then, the very last link in that 19" stretch is a little larger at 3 1/4" by 2. It was clearly made with a specific purpose in mind, and now it's yours for your purpose! It's in excellent solid and sturdy condition- the patina is darkdarkdark and completely covered with aged surface rust. I do see some random light paint sprays on it too- those not as old as the rust, and you have to look for them as they are small. It's a very cool old chain- from the cornfields to you! Vintage Cobalt Blue Decorative Jug
This is a beautifully painted and crafted jug of unknown origin or time. Has two scenes on it that are in bas relief and painted to accent it. Looks to be Russian mosques on one side of the jug. Jug is 9 inches high and approx 5.5 inches across. Crown cap is actually a cork inside the crown. Unique feature of this jug is the recessed bottom-similar to the bottom of a camel jug. Beautiful in every way plus it still has the crown stopper. Gorgeous detail and colors. Free of cracks. Crazing and chips. Shipped insured in the USA. Vintage Wood Clip Board-PN Mfg Co, 1889
This great old wooden clipboard is really a great item. Itis oak veneer; some of the veneer is peeling off. It says P.N. Mfg. Co. Pat’d June 18, 1889, I believe. The“89” is difficult to see, but it is definitely from the 1800’s. The metal clipmechanism still works great and will hold your paper in place. What a greathistoric office item!
